LoveBug — Worth Getting to Know Age: Just under 1 year old Relationship Status: Looking for someone patient enough to get to know the real me. LoveBug is the kind of girl who doesn't give her heart away on the first date. She's a gorgeous long-haired beauty, but when you first meet her, she may be a little shy and unsure. She's not going to rush over to a stranger demanding attention or put on a big show for visitors. Give her a little time, though, and you'll see a completely different side of her. Once LoveBug gets comfortable with you, she becomes incredibly sweet and affectionate. She'll approach you for pets, enjoys being loved on, and will even let you pick her up. She's very friendly — she simply needs the opportunity to decide that you're someone she can trust. LoveBug absolutely adores other cats and is rarely far from a feline friend. She can commonly be found curled up next to one of her many kitty companions, and she's not particularly picky about who gets the honor. Having friendly feline company clearly makes her happy. Because she's a little more reserved, LoveBug would prefer a quieter home where she can settle in at her own pace. A home with calm, friendly resident kitties would be especially wonderful for her. She doesn't need to be the center of attention; she just needs someone willing to give her the time to let her beautiful personality emerge. LoveBug does have a heart murmur that has not affected her daily life in any way. It's simply something her adopters should be aware of and have monitored during her routine veterinary visits, just as they would any other health consideration. LoveBug originally arrived at the sanctuary with her brother, Amore. As they've grown up, they've naturally become more independent of one another, and we've learned that they're ready to find their own homes. LoveBug is ready for someone who will see past that shy first impression and discover what a wonderful girl she really is. LoveBug has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations, has tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, been treated for fleas and worms, and had a negative fecal test. What a beauty Jinx is! This little girl is a long-haired Tortie with mitten paws to boot! This sweet girl is full of energy as all kittens are but she also loves to be loved. Her purr is supersonic. She won't be at the rescue long and will be ready to go to her new home as soon as she is spayed.

We rescued Jake and his sister in the spring of 2021 when they were wee kittens. He's about 5 years old. Jake has been a wonderful cat. He's a shoulder cat and doesn't mind being picked up under his armpits for a good stretch. He likes to greet you when you get out of the shower and is curious if you're ever in the bathtub. He had one of his canines pulled so he sometimes gets his lip stuck and looks a little derpy. We have a toddler now and Jake has been very stressed. I would not recommend that he go to a home with small children. Jake loves to go outside and once he got used to to neighborhood, always comes home. He loves getting pets from the neighbors that walk by and will lay down in front of them to keep them from moving on. Jake is pretty good with kids as long as they are gentle and respect his boundaries.
