Story
Keto is a fluffy, orange 10 year old boy with a heart as big as his appetite. Diagnosed with diabetes, he navigates life with courage, charm, and a little help from his humans. Despite his condition, Keto remains playful and affectionate, often found lounging in sunbeams or demanding head scratches. His signature purr can melt stress in seconds, and his resilience inspires everyone he meets. A true warrior in a ginger fur coat, Keto is proof that even the coziest of kitties can live life to the fullest—one insulin shot at a time. He does require insulin twice daily at this time, but we are hoping with better diet control that we an help eliminate his dependency on insulin! This sweet 8 year old boy has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees; we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Jules is an opinionated mature gal who cannot decide if she would like to speak to management or receive pets from her human staff (we realize we work for Jules). Abandoned at the doors of our shelter without any information, we have had to figure out this little puzzle of a kitty on our own. What do we know about her? That she is impossibly adorable, delightfully spicy, and ready for a cat-savvy person to scoop her up and take a chance on her!

Story
Pyro is a sweet young man with a gorgeous reddish-tinged long-haired black coat that makes him stand out. He’s still trying to boost his confidence, coming out of his shell and discovering how fun playtime can be, especially alongside his step-siblings (the all-white kittens.) With a patient family who loves gentle cuddles and quiet companionship, Pyro will blossom into a confident, loving kitty. Adoption fee: $300 (Includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, and FeLV/FIV test - over $450 worth of veterinary care!) Go to www.ColumbusPetRescue.com to begin the adoption process today. Click on "available pet" and scroll down to find the adoption application. After filling out an application, e-mail it to ColumbusPetRescue@gmail.com. You could also go to our on line application at https://form.jotform.com/ColumbusPetRescue/adoption. We will process your information and check veterinary and other references. Finally, you may be scheduled for a home visit to make sure the environment is perfect for your new family member. Once you are approved, the process is simple: choose your new kitten, meet and greet him or her, and, if all goes well, you have yourself a new pet. We only adopt within the state of Ohio.

Story
February is right around the corner, so we should talk about love, which is easy to do when you have a lover like Bernard! Seriously- his photo should be next to the dictionary definition for "cuddles". I should probably start out with what Bernard is not; he is not a Maine Coon, although he does a pretty good impression of one! He is a gorgeous long-haired tiger, who is looked for a lap where he can stretch out and be loved. To that point, I have includede his photo from when he first arrived (photo #4). The difference from then until now is extraordinary; imagine what he will look like once he finds his forever home! Bernard and his sisters were found outside before Christmas, in that cold snap, with no food or water. At 6 months and 8 pounds, he has seen some hardship, and he is ready to find a good home, where he can put his past behind him and focus on keeping his new family happy and loved forever. In addition, Bernard has also: -Tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV; -Is neutered; -Is vaccinated; -Has been treated for fleas and worms; and -Had a negative fecal test. -The balance of his vaccinations are included in our adoption plan. You guys. Look at that face! Can you imagine looking at it every day? If that sounds like perfection, please fill out an application today. https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
Brothers Quigley, Porter, and Finnegan are seeking foster (or adoptive) homes with patient, calm, cat-experienced humans. These shy white-and-ginger tabby brothers have already made some progress, and with the right environment, we’re hoping they can continue to build confidence and blossom socially. They can be fostered separately or together. If you can’t foster or adopt, please help by sharing this post! Porter, Finnegan, and Quigley are located in the Columbus area, and they’re about 7 months old. They have experience around other kitties. However, they have no experience with dogs or kids, and because of their shy nature, we are seeking homes without dogs or small children. Porter is the most friendly. Quigley will interact, but he does not seek out attention. Finnegan is the most hesitant, but once he’s being petted, he enjoys the interaction. They are fully vetted — FIV/FeLV negative, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you’re located in Ohio and you’re interested in fostering (or adopting) any of these kittens, submit an application via our website. Note that a verifiable vet history is required. Applicants can also request to foster-to-adopt (meaning a kitten be fostered on a trial basis before making a decision to adopt). Email us with any questions - contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com
