Story
Turtle is a fluffy orange and white longhaired kitten with a personality as adorable as his name! This handsome little guy came to us in late May along with his equally curiously named littermates: Salamander, Rattlesnake, Newt, Frog, and Toad. The whole crew was transferred from an overcrowded shelter and while we don’t know much about how they ended up there, we do know they’ve come a long way thanks to the loving care of one of our amazing foster homes. Turtle has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, so he’s all ready to find his forever home! As a longhaired kitty, Turtle’s stunning coat will need regular grooming to keep it tangle-free and soft. His adopter should be prepared to brush him several times a week (if not daily) to keep mats and knots at bay. The good news is: with early socialization in his foster home, Turtle is used to being handled and should take to grooming quite well with gentle, patient care. Like most kittens, Turtle is a bundle of energy, curiosity and mischief! He loves to play, explore, climb, and chase anything that moves. You can expect him to zoom around one moment, then curl up next for a nap. Kittens also benefit from positive social interaction, enrichment and consistent litter box maintenance. Expect to invest time into: * Playtime & stimulation: Toys, scratching posts and climbing spaces are a must. * Regular vet care: Even healthy kittens need checkups and booster vaccines. * Proper nutrition: A high-quality kitten diet will help him grow strong and healthy. Turtle is looking for an adopter who understands that kittens can be a handful, but that pays off in a lifetime of love. He’ll thrive in a home that can give him plenty of attention, a safe space to explore and regular grooming to keep him looking as fabulous as he feels. Ready to bring a little wild (and a lot of cute) into your life? Come meet Turtle and see if this huggable adventurer is your perfect match! The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

🐸 Meet Frog – Hoppy, Happy and Ready to Leap into Your Heart! 🐸 Introducing Frog, a bouncy little bundle of energy who’s ready to spring into his forever home! Frog came to us from an overcrowded shelter, along with his equally adorable siblings: Newt, Rattlesnake, Salamander, Toad, and Turtle. This quirky crew may sound like a nature hike, but they’re all house-trained, full of love and completely indoor-ready! Frog spent time in a warm and nurturing foster home where he learned all the kitten basics like how to use the litter box, enjoy snuggles and maybe even leave a few zoomie tracks on the furniture. What should you expect when adopting Frog (or any kitten, really)? * Nonstop playtime (aka zoomies at 3 a.m.) * A fascination with your socks, shoelaces and anything that moves * Acrobatics on your furniture * Sudden cuddle puddles after an energy crash * A need for toys, attention and a safe space to explore Frog is curious, mischievous and absolutely irresistible. If you're ready for the fun, chaos and cuddles that come with kitten life, Frog is ready to hop into your heart—and maybe onto your lap too. Story
Yeager and McKinley are a beautifully bonded pair who found themselves in our care through no fault of their own. While they come from different stages of life, their connection is undeniable—and they’re ready to start the next chapter together in a loving forever home. 🐾 Yeager Age: Almost 4 years (Estimated DOB: 8/10/2021) Breed Guess: Burmese/Siamese mix with a seal sepia coat Weight: Just under 13 lbs Health: FeLV/FIV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, negative fecal test, microchipped Yeager is a showstopper—his soft, cream-brown coat and dazzling blue eyes are absolutely breathtaking in person. But it’s his personality that will truly win you over. He’s gentle, relaxed, and incredibly affectionate. Yeager is the kind of cat who happily greets new people, enjoys being carried, and will nuzzle into your hand for pets. Despite his size, Yeager isn’t dominant—he’s a sweet, peaceful presence who loves a cozy nap spot, a good cuddle, and the occasional broom chase (yes, he has a hilarious obsession with brooms). He’s playful without being rowdy and would be a calming, loyal companion in any home. 🐾 McKinley Age: 13 years (Estimated DOB: 4/30/2012) Breed Guess: Long-haired tortie & white Health: Spayed, front declawed, FeLV/FIV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, negative fecal test, recent bloodwork perfect McKinley is a gentle, elegant girl with a heart full of love and a deep desire to be someone’s lap cat again. She’s warm and affectionate, the first to greet visitors and the last to stop asking for pets. She has clearly lived a well-loved life and still has so much more love to give. She thrives on calm attention and would happily spend her days curled up beside you, following you from room to room, and gazing at you with soulful eyes. Shelter life is a bit overwhelming for her—she doesn’t like having to compete for affection. 🐾 Yeager and McKinley have lived side by side for years. Their connection is deep and touching—Yeager keeps a watchful eye on McKinley and rushes to her side at the first sound of a meow. It’s clear they bring each other peace and joy. Because of this incredible bond, we are only accepting adoption applications for them as a pair. If you’re looking for a perfect duo—one young, goofy, and charming, the other wise, loving, and full of grace—Yeager and McKinley are waiting to fill your home with calm, cuddles, and companionship. Ready to meet them? Fill out an adoption application and come say hello to these two best friends. They can’t wait to start their next adventure—with you! https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application
