Great Pumpkin is an absolute lover, and a rare female, long-haired redhead!! (She thinks you should ignore the haircut, and says it's rude to stare. When she came into our care her fur was extremely matted... it has been cleaned up, and her glorious long fur is beginning to grow back in.) After spending time on the streets, Pumpkin is taking full advantage of the good life... she likes to sleep 20 hrs a day, and spend the rest of her day on someone's lap or in the sun! (She's a perfect work-from-home office buddy!) Our vet estimates Pumpkin at approximately 14 years young. She loves jumping in the window to lay in the sun. She doesn't seem to mind other animals, but mostly she wants to be left alone and will let them have their space, too. Please note Pumpkin has vision loss due to some corneal scarring. Our vet says it is not painful for this sweet senior lady, and does not present any issues or discomfort. For 14-ish years old, the vat says Great Pumpkin is doing well! Meet Zephyr! This sweet little lady is a total love... She loves everyone!! She came to us one fateful day, in the middle of actively giving birth to a litter of fabulous kittens. She did a wonderful job raising her babies, saw them all find loving homes, and now it's her turn for a purrfect forever, too!! Her current foster has dogs, and Zephyr doesn't mind them one bit. She's very playful so we're guessing she would do really well with kids. Her long fur feels like silk, and she's so sweet, she loves everyone and everything. She loves attention and pets but she's not really a cuddler. Not a fan of being held, not a lap cat. But you can pet her all day, and she'll adore you for it!! Story

We received Meringue from Our Farm Sanctuary in December 2022. She had been placed there after her previous owner had passed away. She is approximately 12 years old. Very friendly to adults, children and extremely comfortable with all types of animals especially other cats. She has been spayed and has her shots. She uses the litter box with no issues and has never had an accident. We do feed her hairball preventative cat food as she grooms regularly and it seems to help. We have a younger cat (1 year) and had been looking for another cat to play with her and keep her company. Hence why we sought out Meringue. Although she is a wonderful cat, who is calm and LOVES to snuggle up on the couch with you, she is not particularly interested in playing with our younger cat. She will play when engaged for a minute or two, then find a comfy spot to curl up in. She is more suited to a home where she can relax regularly and get all the pets she deserves.
