Story
Goose is incredibly special. I LOVE this boy!!  Goose was found in a dumpster in San Marcos, TX (along with his siblings). They were taken to the local shelter. Covid was in place so the shelter closed their doors. Only rescues were allowed in. This is how I got Goose and his siblings. All have long since been adopted out. Goose was the BEST cat to have around because he grew up loving kittens! He was so good at calming them down, grooming them, etc. When Goose was about a year, he got a bad URI from another foster kitty. He was treated but had a harder time recovering. He stayed here longer (he was my kitten tamer) and that is when I noticed other issues happening. Long story short, Goose most likely has IBD (no biopsy has been done - per vets suggestion). I can go into great length about this to anyone interested. Right now, I am going to do my best to find him the ABSOLUTE best home. He deserves it. Ideally, Goose would go to another home that already has an IBD kitty. He needs a novel protein diet. He is currently on wet and dry food, probiotics mixed in. Experienced adopter would be ideal. Someone who understands this condition and knows how to manage it. Goose currently gets steroid injections (by me), goes to the vet every 6 months and is doing well. Because I do have other cats in the house with special diets, it has been a challenge keeping Goose on track, which is VERY important with IBD. Goose needs to have another kitty friend. He loves grooming and being groomed.  I know finding him the perfect home will be difficult but willing to wait it out :-) I love this boy so much but want him to find a home where his condition can be managed and he can live a long healthy life! He deserves it!!! For more info. on Goose, please contact Stephanie directly. 512-694-6209 or stefpq@yahoo.comWould love to have a somewhat local adopter so I can be close should something arise. I have so many photos and videos of Goose I am more than happy to share, just can't put them all online here. He really is the most handsome fellow! ##1968417##

Story
Curious, Playful, Floofy! Myrrh is an exotic spice who is cuddly and still acts young at heart! This cutie wants to be your adorable shadow and she loves the feather toy and chasing toy mice! She enjoys a good chat and will chirp and meow if you want to discuss the happenings in the world. Myrrh was a stray before coming to APA! and she is learning the lay of the land. She would love some patience as she gets used to her surroundings. Once she gets acclimated she will be your best friend and enjoy everything you do. She will wander around adorably following you - whether brushing your teeth to making a sandwich, you will laugh while she hops on the counter to see what you are doing. Myrrh would love someone who can give her space but also give her attention once she is comfortable. She would be okay with other animals as long as there is time for her to adjust - otherwise she would be wonderful as the solo pet who can get all your attention. She will snuggle up next to you and watch a movie - she's a bit like a dog, which is so sweet. This gorgeous gal is sure to spice up your home! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Myrrh, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
