Meet Agate! (Pronounced ah-gah-tay.) Agate is  handsome, long-haired tabby. Agate came to us 2 years ago after he and his brother were found in a Culpeper backyard at just 4 months old. They were very close but sadly, his brother passed away and Agate really struggled for a while without him.Agate is. VERY  friendly and charming. He is that socially awkward shy and handsome guy that doesn’t know how handsome he is. At dinner time, he head butts and rubs up against his foster mom in an effort to get as much wet food as he can. During the rest of the day, Agate tends to be more skittish and may startle if approached too quickly. It's hard to say what happened to this poor baby in his past to make him so shy. He appears to be more comfortable around men than women, but, as mentioned earlier, does well with his foster mom.Agate gets along well with other cats and has buddies that are both fosters and permanent cats at his foster home, whom he loves to play and snuggle. He would be most comfortable in a quiet, low to medium level energy home. He will need a patient human or family who understands that he is shy and will  give him the time he needs to acclimate. He will need another cat or two who he can snuggle with and be buddy up with in his new home. Meet TinkerBell! TinkerBelle is an adorable longhaired, gray puffball with a sweet and loving purrsonality.She came to us as a young kitten, just 3 1/2 weeks old. A man had her mom, (who was a young mom) and mom wasn' t feeding her kittens. TinkerBell's brother had already died and friends of the man were desperate for help. We were told Tink was 6 weeks old and not eating. However, once in our care we discovered she was only 3 1/2 weeks old - too young to eat on her own - so she was bottle fed til she was old enough and then joined a feral mom and her 2 kittens that were in our care. Mom took to Tink right away and instantly began cleaning and snuggling with her. A mom is a mom is a mom. The kittens played with her and slept with her and  Tink was thrilled!Tink loves to cuddle and play. She enjoys being with her new kitten friends and LOVES her canned food. She runs to greet her foster mom when she comes near and wants to be pet, picked up, and loved on. TinkerBell would do best in a quiet home as a companion or support cat or with a friend. No kids under 8 years old. Meet Twinkle and Pixie! These two siblings originally came to us years ago as the only two kitten siblings of a litter that survived euthanasia at a high kill shelter. They were adopted, but have been returned to us due to no fault of their own.Twinkle is a 4 year old, beautiful, long haired, white and gray male. Heis a very loving snuggle boy who loves to eat and be pet almost as much as he loves chasing a wand toy. He flies through the air like a kitten half his size and never wants to stop playing even after he is tuckered out. He is very talkative and loves to be in the middle of everything. He gets along well with other cats and dogs but prefers most of the attention on himself.Pixie is a 4 year old white and gray Agean tabby. She is a sweet, shy girl who loves to be with you and be loved. Pixie was a little skittish in her former home, her adopter felt it was because it was "a little chaotic" due to a lot of pets in the home. Even as a kitten, Pixie was very shy. and Twinkle was her rock. Pixie is playful and snuggly at times and loves to lounge around all day, gazing out the window. Meet Mila and Milo, 2 precious kittens that will keep you laughing. These babies are approximately 6-8 weeks old (as of June 20) and came to us from a local shelter that was over-capacity, placing either their lives or other cats' lives in jeopardy.Mila is a little girl - a brown tabby kitten that will remind you of Daniel Tiger from Mister Roger's Neighborhood. She was born with underdeveloped eyes, so she has very limited, if any sight, but the vet thinks there’s a good chance she has some sight in her right eye. Before you start feeling sorry for this girl let us just tell you, she is fearless! After a couple weeks in foster care, she is happy, healthy and so very playful. She loves to explore wherever she is, and she is a climber! She climbs anything she can in order to explore her world. She loves playing with her brother (from another mother) Milo and does love cuddling with people. She’s a fabulous “under the chin“ cuddler.As fate would have it, Milo came into that very same shelter the same day and the two are absolutely positutely bonded. Milo is a happy-go-lucky kitten with a big purr-sonality. He seems to always have that look of surprise and truly finds everything in life exciting. He is Mila's eyes and her protector. The two play together, sleep together, groom each other, and snuggle together.  Milo is very playful, but is also a A+ snuggler, too!Both kittens have been exposed to cat-friendly children 6 years old and up and do very well with them. Because Mila needs a little extra consideration, we would suggest a low to moderate activity household with children no younger than 6 years of age. Meet Firefly and Misty! Misty is a beautiful blue (light gray) medium-haired tabby, with darker gray stripes, approximately 3 month old (as of 7.12.26) Misty was living in a field with her feral mom and siblings. (Misty's mom was spayed/vetted and returned to her "home.") A Good Samaritan brought her to us and, when she 1st came to us, Misty was very scared. She would (quite dramatically) try to show her foster mom who was boss by hissing at her, (which is hard to take seriously when you are a little grey puff ball). Over time, she warmed up and came out of her shell but she was lonely.  Three days after  Misty came to us, in came FireFly to another foster's home. FireFly is a white and orange male tabby, also about 3 months old (as of 7.12.26). He was found in the woods at a nearby gym. He came into care by himself and was also very lonely, often crying out for a friend. Hmmmm....where have we heard this before?One of the fosters thought it might be a good match ... and voila! the 2 kittens were put together and are now BFF's. Their entire purrsonalities changed. It was kismet! Clearly FireFly had found his sister from another mister. Now he is a goofy and playful guy who loves attention. A little shy at first until he warms up and, like Misty, he loves to tumble and play. Misty is also a little shy at first, but very loving and loves affection. She is an independent girl who needs her alone time and likes to hang out in the hammock, but also is an enthusiastic playmate to FireFly. Occasionally, she has to pull the big sister card and get him in a headlock, but then she’ll turn around and groom him.Both kittens are bonded and will need to be adopted together. Meet CheeseCake (f), Sherri Cobbler (f), Biscotti (m), and Cannoli (m)! These 3 month old kittens were dumped on a rural Culpeper property as little kittens before coming into care.The Good Samaritan took great care of them until we had space for them in our foster home.CheeseCake is a beautiful little girl with a bright and bubbly personality. She is silly, loving, and playful and is very happy-go-lucky. She has been that way since we 1st met her, so she must have been around people before. Her sister and partner in crime is Sherri Cobbler. Sherri has the most beautiful coloring with a lot of golden hues, almost a peach coloring. She is shyer than CheeseCake, but warms up in about a week. Sherri is also playful, and once warmed up and comfortable, loves to be pet. Both girls do absolutely everything together - eat, sleep, play. They are bonded and must be adopted together. There is a $30 discount when adopting 2.Biscotti and Cannoli are the 2 boys of the clan. They came to us  a few weeks later than their sisters, so they are still a bit shy and getting accustomed to us. Biscotti is a medium-haired brown tabby and appears to be very throughtful, sitting and watching and taking everything in. He loves to lie on his hammock when his foster mom is not around but quickly hides when she comes into the room  - par for the course with a new kitten. Cannoli is a white and gray Agean tabby and enjoys playig hide and seek, mostly the hiding part for now - again, par for the course.
