Story
Meet Jerith! This darling exudes an aura of calm, always ready to snuggle up and give you lovins. His sweet personality is a delight, and would bring a level of serenity into any home lucky enough to adopt him. Gentle Jerith eagerly awaits a loving family to give him endless cuddles and affection. Let him fill your days with warmth and love! He would likely be fine in a home with children and other animals with proper, slow introductions and make a great companion. Jerith came to the SPCA from a rural property with an enormous amount of cats & kittens (300+). Because of this rough start to his life, he has been exposed to various parasites and viruses that can affect cats. He has undergone treatments for all the parasites, been vaccinated, and is now healthy. However, because of his exposure to Calicivirus and other things, there is a small possibility of him now being a carrier and because of this he needs to be an indoor cat and either be the only feline in his home or with a cat who has had the same exposure (there are lots of cats from the same property looking for homes) and up to date on vaccinations. Ask SPCA staff for more information regarding his history.Do you think you could be Jerith's person? For more information on Jerith, you can reach out to us at 250-248-3811 or parksville@spca.bc.ca We are open Tuesday -Saturday 12-4 Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.4 Age: 1yrs 7mths 3wks

Story
Meet Wilson!Wilson came into care as a stray, so we don't know anything about his previous life. Wilson is a very friendly and affectionate guy, and loves to have human company around. We're not sure how he would do with other animals in the home, as he has been in an isolation room until his neuter appointment next week.Wilson has the softest orange fur we've ever felt, and will do anything for some tasty wet food, and a good chin scratching session. Please note that because Wilson is not yet neutered, he will need to go into a Foster-to-Adopt family until his appointment. To apply to adopt Wilson, please follow the steps below...PLEASE NOTE: This cat is located on the Sunshine Coast and travel via BC Ferries is required to adopt. Story
Say hello to my little friend! This very special boy is looking for a very special home. Tony Montana got his name from a large wound on his cheek. This poor little man came to us as a stray so his history is unknown. Upon arrival he had a large abscess on his cheek and was in dire need of vet care. He is currently recovering and his wound is looking great.Tony is a nervous guy who is experiencing a lot of new things. He is used to living outdoors so he would be a good candidate for a catio, as he enjoys sitting outside watching the birdies. He has been using the catio here at the shelter tons! He's coming around to people and has been showing us he's comfortable by eating in front of us, and out of our hands! It might take a couple weeks before he's comfortable receiving pets but he's shown interest in it here and has allowed light petting. He seems to like cheek scratches and will even give out a little purr.He is looking for an experienced paw-rent, familiar with shy, nervous and under socialized cats and he could potentially do well with a confident feline friend in the home.
