Story
Rain is a very sweet, loving gal who just enjoys attention and scratches. She was stressed in her previous home as she was a very gentle cat and the other resident cats decided to bully her. It as a tough decision for the family but they felt it was in Rain's best interests to be in a quiet home with no other pets. Given her long fur, she would love to have a home where they will pamper her and give her lots of brushes to keep her luxurious fur beautiful. If you are interested in meeting this lovely girl, please fill out our convenient online pre-adoption questionnaire and a staff member will reach out if it seems like a good match. The form can be filled out at https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ You may also visit her in person at the animal care centre on Salt Spring during business hours (M-Th 11-4) Primary Color: Grey Weight: 4.02 Age: 4yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet Milo!Milo is basically a living teddy bear - a big, plush, happy boy with the softest fur and the sweetest personality to match. He's a champion sunbather and can often be found stretched out in the coziest spot he can find. That said, don't let his laid-back vibe fool you - Milo still gets the occasional burst of zoomies! The hallway carpet is his personal racetrack, and when he gets going it's full "zoom zoom" mode.Milo has a history of urinary cystitis, so it is very important that he remains on a prescribed urinary diet for life to keep his bladder healthy and functioning well. As long as he stays on his special food, he is currently doing well health-wise and feeling great. He truly loves people and thrives on companionship. Milo enjoys sitting on laps, snuggling up for cuddles, and sleeping right beside his pawrents at night. He's a devoted, affectionate boy who wants to be part of your daily life.If you're looking for a fluffy, cuddly companion with a big heart (and a big purr), Milo Man is ready to meet you. Charcoal's lovely temperament and soft presence make her a perfect match for someone who enjoys calm moments, gentle cuddles and a serene little friend to share their space with 🌙💕Charcoal loves to eat; apparently a little too much. Story
Ricky is a charmer bursting with personality and curiosity. He is the spirited half of a bonded pair with his gentle companion, Audrey. With a perpetually quizzical look, Ricky often appears deep in thought, quietly studying his foster mom as though decoding the mysteries of human behaviour. Playful to his core, Ricky is devoted to Churu, treats, laser pointers, and anything involving string. Morning zoomies are a highlight of his day, bringing joyful energy to the household, and they are followed by time spent perched in the window. He is slowly gaining confidence, revealing more of his delightful personality each day. Ricky (and Audrey) were rescued after being abandoned at an industrial site, which may explain his cautious nature and preference for a calm environment, as loud or sudden sounds can be unsettling. Ricky is not yet keen on receiving pets. Interestingly, he enjoys watching music videos, content to observe the movement from a safe vantage point. Ricky is looking for a cat-savvy adopter, someone respectful of feline boundaries and unfazed by the occasional swat. A quieter, adult-only home with plenty of playtime would suit him perfectly as he will need patience to adjust. Together, Ricky and Audrey are true yin and yang companions, offering balance, warmth, and a deeply rewarding bond for the right home. Must adopt with Audrey.

Story
April is a sweet young cat who craves love and attention and wants to head-bump or cuddle with you as a thank you. She loses herself in happiness with a scratch on the neck or stroke on the back and she's soft as a bunny. Having come from a colony in an industrial area, April came to her foster home extremely anxious and withdrawn. But in three months, she learned to trust and to be a gentle and communicative kitty. She is patient and quiet as she awaits food or love and only gets quietly vocal if she is hungry. She still scampers at any movements behind her back or any loud sounds. However, April sleeps between her foster caregiver's pillows at night. In the evening, she hangs out with them in the living room; little by little, she is starting to trust more. She is also beginning to explore play by chasing feather wands and balls. April would prefer to be the only pet in the home. She would not adjust well to other cats, dogs, or small children. One or two quiet people would be ideal. She can't wait to meet you!
