Story
Foxy is one of our beautiful special needs adult kitties. She came to our rescue as a stray, skinny and missing more than half of her fur. She was so trusting and loving from the beginning, thankful to be safe and off the streets. This quirky, sassy, loving lady will win you over with her raspy meows, abnormally short fluffy tail, and spunky attitude. She is learning how to be an indoor house kitty and sometimes gets over excited/stimulated while getting pets, which means she may swat or give a love nip. She has improved significantly in the last few months and her foster is actively working on showing her pets can be a calming treat. This girl LOVES food. She has gone from skin and bones to a nice floofy chonk since joining our crew. She has also learned that cat beds are comfy and cat toys are not strange or scary. Foxy was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease after being examined by our veterinarian. At this point, she requires no special diet or medications, but may have a shorter life expectancy than a healthy cat. In her current foster home, Foxy has another senior kitty as her roommate and they coexist well. She also shows interest in other cats in the home. She has also met kittens, sniffs them, and walks away. We do not know how she feels about dogs. She would most likely do best as the only pet in the home or possibly with other cats with proper/patient introductions. Foxy is approximately 5-8 years old. Foxy Lady is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Story
Meow, my name is Stacy. I was a stray in Soledad when the SPCA rescued me. I'm a feral barn cat looking for a home. The SPCA often receives great cats like me who are are looking for a safe place to call home. I can even help you with pest control! Because I am feral, you won't find me in the Adoption Center with the other cats. The SPCA is keeping me in a quiet, comfortable place where I won't be scared. If you would like to adopt me, please ask Customer Service!Learn more: https://www.spcamc.org/barn-cat-adoptions/ Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.1 Age: 1yrs 0mths 3wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing Monica! This petite girl came into our program pregnant after a local trapper brought her in! Now, she's learning the life of a house-kitty and all the comforts that come along with it! Monica thrives off of human companionship, spending her days at the AFRP office and her nights snuggled up in cozy blankets at home. She enjoys sitting on the desks and managing office duties, often keeping an eye out and 'guarding' the door to make sure those who enter pass the "Monica Security Clearance". She is a very active girl who loves to zoom around anywhere she has the space and is as playful as can be! It's important to understand that she is a rough-kitty and her play style shows it! Monica would prefer adult adopters, or families with cat-savvy children over the age of 15 at this time who are able to understand any boundaries she sets as well as be home with her throughout the day to continue positive socialization. She is working hard on socializing with animals, but at this time is likely not a cat who will cuddle up to any resident animals in the home. She may be able to coexist in a home with other animals, but it will take time for her to become comfortable. Monica is currently in foster care. A meet and greet can be schedule once an application has been received, and approved. Please complete an onlline application located at animalfriendsrescue.org.
