Meet Kai, the gray and white bicolor cat! Kai came to the Shelter after their previous guardian was unable to continue caring for them. Kai would thrive in a home as the only feline as he has some big feelings about other kitties. Kai has been social with staff and volunteers since his arrival. Kai does have experience as an indoor-outdoor cat but will need management if he is in an area where there are other kitties that he would come in contact with. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Hooray for beans! Fava, Cannellini, Garbanzo, Lentil and Edamame are all siblings. They were surrendered to the Watsonville Shelter as a result of an accidental litter. They have been shy, but soft and affectionate with staff as they wait for their new homes. We do not require they all get adopted together and anticipate they will adjust well to a variety of homes after bonding with their new family, and may do well with other cats eventually. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Meet Sago Palm & Sea Holly! These two medium haired beauties came to the Shelter with some other siblings. They love to play with toys – just about any toy will do! Since toys and play are their love language, they have been warming up to new people through playing with toys. Sago Palm and Sea Holly would do well in a home together or adopted independently. We anticipate that they may revert to being a bit more shy in the transition to their new environment but will likely blossom in a quiet, home environment and show their true selves!Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week!
