Story
Ashlyn is spayed, housebroken, crate trained, wonderful with dogs, cats, and children, and travels well. To be transparent and inform you about the care she requires, Ashlyn's current medications are phenobarbital and zonisamide 2x a day, morning and night at your time preference that will work for you. Medications cost 300$ a year ablood work a 1000$. With pet insurance, 0$ after meeting deductible. Ashlyn's seizures are happening every 10 days, mild, 30 seconds long and bounces out of them gracefully. She takes her medicine as pill format like a champ and treats are appreciated. She enjoys grooming herself, but fine with others grooming her. She has seen a neurologist at Sage in Campbell and visits Dr. Miller, family vet in Soquel. I will provide all copies of her veterinary records and neurologist notes will be provided as she does require an MRI to confirm she has epilepsy. All her belongings will go with her, don't need to buy anything. I will care for her until she finds a home.

Story
Meet Spider Man (black) & Princess (gray). These two adult cats came to the Shelter after a good Samaritan found them (and some kittens) out and about and were concerned for their safety. They hung out in a home for a month or so raising the kittens and getting comfortable. Princess is the more outgoing of the two. She can be cautious when first meeting people but then very sweet once she is comfortable. Spider Man is more unsure but seems to take cues from his friend Princess. Both Spider Man and Princess have lived with other felines and may do well joining resident cats in a home with a slow, thoughtful introduction. They have also had experience with cat-savvy dogs (a husky) in the previous home. Both cats used the litterbox reliably previously. This duo is not required to be adopted together but would make a great pair for someone looking to adopt two cats. Spider Man and Princess are available for preadoption. Come meet them, fall in love and take them home after their spay and neuter surgeries. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them

Story
Meet Speckle (medium hair) and Freckle (short hair). These two tortie gals came to the Shelter after their previous guardian had an accidental litter amongst their cats. They were indoors only in their previous home and used the litterbox reliably. They are still adjusting to the Shelter and a little shy but are warming up by the day. They could be adopted together or separately. Any introduction to other animals should be done slowly and thoughtfully. Speckle and Freckle are available for pre-adoption. Come meet them, fall in love and pick them up after their spay surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. Story
Meet Amara, the tuxedo girl cat. This medium haired cutie came into the Shelter as a stray. She clearly has been around people previously as she has the purrrrsonality of a social butterfly – enjoys being held, laying in laps and being held. Amara does have some history being outdoors but would be safest primarily indoors in her next home. We do not have any history of her in a home with other animals. Any introductions to resident animals should be done slowly and thoughtfully. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day.
