Story
Maria was part of a colony that was cleared in Castle Hayne, NC. She is very affectionate, sweet and playful. She originally tested positive for FeLV, but we have recently retested her for a negative result. This means she may have had it as a kitten, but her immune system fought it off and contained it to numbers that are no longer measurable. it is best in this situation to be prepared to retest every couple of years for a while. Her best friend, Ella is ;in the same position. Ideally they could be adopted together to a home with no other cats. All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Please fill in our application via this link: http://www.felinematchmakers.org

Story
Molly was found with her litter in a dumpster and was nearly out into the compactor! Luckily the foreman ( our neighbor at the time)heard the mews of her mom and rescued them just in time. As a result of this traumatizing experience, Molly is quite nervous and needs a very quiet home. Or home now has small children and all the noise that goes along with that and it's just too much for her. I think she could do well in with a home with older adults or some other calm environment.

Story
Aurora is a stunning medium-haired beauty who came to us a little matted and very scared. Despite her rough start, she has revealed herself to be incredibly sweet and gentle. She is easy to handle and naturally calm, though she will likely choose to hide at first while she takes time to feel safe and build trust. Aurora is not aggressive at all—just a shy soul who needs patience, kindness, and a quiet space to truly blossom. She could do very well being adopted with her brother Zorro or into a home with other friendly cats. Aurora is also comfortable around dogs, especially those who respect her space and allow her to move at her own pace. With time and love, she will make a truly special companion. ##2609911##

Story
Name: ZorroSex: MaleAge: AdultBreed: Domestic Medium hair Personality Zorro is a sweet, independent boy who enjoys affection—in his own special way. He loves showing love by rubbing against his people and being near them, but he prefers to keep physical affection brief. Zorro is the kind of cat who enjoys connection without constant handling. When he’s had enough petting, Zorro will give a warning bite to communicate his boundaries. Despite this, he may continue rubbing against you to show that he still wants to be close. He is very clear about what he needs and does best with people who understand and respect feline body language. Ideal Home Zorro needs a confident, cat-savvy home where his people understand when to give him space. He would thrive as an only cat or possibly with a calm female cat. An adults-only home is required. Zorro can live with a single, calm older dog, but slow introductions are essential so the dog understands when to give Zorro space. He is not a match for dogs that chase cats, even in play. Important Notes Zorro may appear extra affectionate during short meet-and-greet visits, but once settled into a home, his true personality emerges. He needs an adopter who understands that independence does not mean a lack of love—it’s simply how Zorro thrives. Best Match For Experienced cat owners Adults-only households Someone who values mutual respect and clear boundaries Zorro is a wonderful companion for the right person—one who understands that love comes in many forms, and sometimes the best way to show it is by giving space. ##2609909##

Story
I’m a curious, sweet, and affectionate kitty who loves perching on windowsills to watch the world go by and playing with my favorite toys. I’ll happily rub up against you and adore being petted on my head and rump—sometimes I even give gentle love bites and love to make muffins! I can be a bit shy at first, so I need someone patient who will let me come to them when I’m ready. Once I trust you, I’m incredibly sweet and loving. I’m not a fan of being picked up, but once I feel safe, I’ll cuddle up with you and might even curl up in your lap. A home without dogs would probably be best for me I have met one male cat before and really enjoyed his company. ##2360920##
