Story
Hi Everyone, My name is Abby. I am a spayed and vaccinated 15-year-old tuxedo cat. I was born in Germany and moved to Colorado when I was four. I have lived as an only pet most of my life. I am pretty scared of other animals since I have lived alone for so long. But between us, I rather prefer living alone anyway. I now live with four humans, Joe and Kerstin and two kids. I am not so great around small children, but usually I just try to find a spot to sleep and hide where they can’t find me. Joe, Kerstin, and the rest of the family are moving back to Germany soon. And at my age, I think I would rather stay here. I now have some cognitive decline in my old age and I probably would not handle that move very well. It was really hard on me when I was four so now that I’m such an old lady, I really don’t know what I would do. Joe is looking for a place for me to go that would give me the space and quiet that I like. And also people that would be patient with worsening anxiety.

Story
Hello there! I'm a tuxedo polydactyl furry friend named Baby! I'm about six years old and have been loved and spoiled in my life, but haven't been able to land a forever home. I'm recovering from cancer and spry as a kitten, so you'd never know I had any issue at all. I also have FELV, so I need to be the only cat in the home, but as long as you love petting me, it won't be an issue. I don't like being held, but I love sitting next to my humans and getting scritches. I'm mild and quiet and while I'm not very playful, I still get the zoomies and adore my scratching post and birdwatching out the window. I have a few quirks, one of which is I don't like walking on blankets or pillows. I prefer wet food and pate and like having my water fresh every morning. Won't you please give me a chance to be your bestie?

Story
Meet Cider, or as we call him, 'Cider (House) Rules!' This buff guy is not only confident, but affectionate:  when you sit down, he will immediately approach & curl his tail around you, then flop to the floor as he asks for head & cheek pets.  If you're able to spend a few more moments with him, allowing him to know you better, he'll roll over onto his back, gaze into your eyes & ask for belly rubs!  But Cider is no slouch:  this ten years young guy has lots of energy & loves wand toys.  His former guardians were crushed to have to give him up due to financial challenges... he is a 'regulated diabetic,' meaning he does not require shots, but simply a special diet.  Please know there are lots of options for diabetic foods! He would prefer to be in a home where he is the only furbaby. Please come meet this sweet, loving boy

Story
Hi, I'm Freya! I had a rough start early in life and I almost didn't survive. But here I am full of energy and a happy (and sometimes sassy) 6 month old little girl. I like to run and play. I'm pretty fast. I'd like a home with cat towers to climb on and space to run around. I am hyperthyroid. I'm available to adopt with the requirement that you will initially take me home as a foster so MaxFund's medical team can closely monitor my health and recovery for a couple months. Additionally, while in foster I will need to be brought to MaxFund for regular check ups with the shelter vet. ALSO - I am bonded with Bill and would like to go home with him. We both beat the odds and formed a very special bond.

Story
Hello! My name is The Toad! I was brought to Maxfund as a stray at the ripe old age of 2! :) I'm an absolutely gorgeous boy, who used to be shy, but I'm really starting to come out of my shell! I'm tolerant of other cats, but would probably show more of my personality if I was the only kitty! I'm also not the biggest fan of kids and it's unknown how I do with dogs, but I'd be willing to test that for you! The more love and attention I get, the more social I will become so please stop by to meet me today! I'll be waiting for you!

Hi, I have a very loving cat named Charlie he was born in 2020 and my kids and I have had him since he was born he is super loving and talks a lot and loves to sucks on blankets. He absolutely loves kids and my kids and I are super sad to see him go but my youngest son has started getting very allergic to cats and unfortunately we have to make this choice. Charlie does very well with other cats and absolutely love kids but we have never had him around any dogs. He is litter box trained and has never once went outside his litter box.He honestly is an amazing cat and the only thing he really wants all the time is love and to cuddle.

Are you hiring? This is working cat is seeking a job in a rural environment such as a farm, stable, or garden center where they can enjoy the freedom of outdoor life with the safety of a familiar place and a committed caretaker. Working cats span the spectrum of sociability, with some cats quite inexperienced and fearful of people, preferring to work from the shadows, and some cats who will eagerly rub against your boot and join you for your outdoor chores. Some working cats may amaze you with the mouse catching antics and athleticism, and some may be more hands off, discouraging pests with their presence and scent. Looking for a particular personality? Ask our team about finding the right cat for your environment. To set your new farm hand up for success, we recommend setting up a cozy, confined space replete with food, water, and litterbox. After a week or two of enjoying the amenities of their new environment they'll feel much safer staying put and getting to work. Have a big job? Ask our team about cats that may enjoy working in pairs or groups. All working cat adoptions are fee-waived, with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and ear-tip included. Story
Round, chirpy little senior, always knows what's going on and is so good and being in the center of things when she feels like it and pulling back to find her own space when she's less inclined. Kami is likely to be demonstrative with her family and more reserved around guests. Though she's lived successfully with cats she grew up around at this stage in her life and in this cat-dense space she's been rather closed off to new feline relationships and may be most successful as the only cat in her next home. Kami is recommended for a home with older children at this time. Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Black Red Weight: 15.1875 Age: 14yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Artesia is a sweet, affectionate and playful girl. She’s inquisitive and curious. She loves to be held and thinks that riding around on her foster mom’s shoulders is so much fun! This curious girl likes to investigate, climb and jump over everything, and play - a lot. She has a lovely purr motor, and she is a master biscuit maker. Artesia could share her home and person/peeps with a mellow, cat-friendly dog(s) after slow, thoughtful introductions, but no other cats for this “Queen Bee.” Although she did a great job of raising her kittens (with whom she was surrendered to a shelter when her former owner was moving), Artesia is not a fan of other cats. Although this Love Bug is about 2.5 years old, she is a very active cat and her foster mom describes her as very 'kitten-like.' If you think Artesia might be the loving, present companion you are looking for, please submit an application for her today. Artesia is thriving in a foster home in Lakewood and would love to meet you. Foster: IM Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Hello friends, my name is Carbon. I actually prefer to be called Reba but since this is my second time in the care of A.R.R. I'm listed under my previous name, Carbon. I know that sounds confusing but so is my life right now. You see, a year and a half ago, when I was just a teenager, I was brought from an out of state shelter to Colorado by Animal Rescue of the Rockies in order to save my life. I was adopted pretty quickly but a year and a half later I was brought back because of a dog who didn't like me. I didn't do anything wrong but my mom said that I am such a great cat that she couldn't see me having to spend my life hiding under a bed for safety. Personally, I think they should have gotten rid of the dog but here I am again looking for my forever family. So, you probably want to know more about me other than the fact that there's a dog out there that doesn't like me. Well, my last mom and my two-time foster mom give me glowing reviews. Although I do hear quite frequently how gorgeous I am there's more to me than just a pretty tuxedo with a fluffy tail. I am also quite the lover. I will talk and rub up against your leg when you enter a room and if you are sitting I'll probably climb up into your lap once I get to know you. I have great manners and a lot of class so I keep myself clean and no litter box accidents.I'd say that I'm pretty easy to get along with and would probably do well with another cat. I probably don't want to be around dogs again as my last experience wasn't so good. I have experience with being at home alone while my human was at work, so if you have to work it's okay, but expect that I'll be waiting for you at the door to let you know how happy I am to see you! I am up to date on my shots, microchipped, spayed and have tested negative for FIV and FELV.I have moved too much in my little lifetime and would love to find a family who will love me forever.
