Story
Buddy is a very sweet, 4 month-old boy!  He likes to play with toys and uses a scratching post and litter box perfectly!  He enjoys being with other cats.  While with his foster mom, he would lay around and snuggle with them.  He's getting more and more affectionate by the day. He is climbing on me and sleeping next to me in bed. The one thing Buddy shies away from is being picked up.  He likes all 4 of his paws on the ground for now.  In time that could change once he’s in a patient, loving home where he can settle-in.  As with most cats/kittens, he’ll need time to get accustomed to his new home and family.  Buddy update 4/15/2025:  He does let me pick him up and hold him.  It's just the initial reaching down to get him.  He is getting better by the day.  He'll jump in bed and climb on me to pet him!   Buddy is up to date on all his vaccines. Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Margie D.)April 15, 2025, 8:25 am

Story
FCID#11/06/2024-26 Squeegee is now at the Christiana Petsmart. Meet Squeegee, the adorable fluffy boy with the silly name! You won’t find a more handsome and lovable boy than Squeegee. He and his siblings all have bathtime names- Squeegee, Bubbles, Loofah and Sudsy. Squeegee and his sister Bubbles are roommates and the best of friends. When I step into their room and reach out my hand, it’s a love fest of purrs, head butts, tuck and rolls and pets galore. They welcome me so happily and also seem delighted to be with each other. These two sweeties can be adopted together or separately. Squeegee will bring love and cozy smiles to his forever family. He will be happiest with another cat to keep him company. Squeegee has an endearing and unusual habit. He loves to hold my hand with his paw. He also seems to direct my hand, such as to stop me from pulling away or to push me to pet his face, which he loves. I know it sounds weird and not likely, but I’m convinced! Squeegee is super affectionate, especially when he’s tucked into his favorite cave bed. He rolls around, basking in the pets and attention.   Check out Squeegee’s video to see this flashy boy show off his quick reflexes. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0ldbYOI6TWA .You can see that Squeegee is also playful. He’s crazy about wire cat dancers, as shown in his video. Plus, what a beautiful boy! Check out those wild ear tufts! His toe tufts are crazy too! Would you like to bring dashing Squeegee into your family? Please as to speak with his foster mom to learn all about him. Older children would be great, but young children, who can be loud and unpredictable, may be too much for Squeegee. Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Not ready to adopt?  Please consider fostering:  https://forgottencats.org/foster-a-cat/.   Thank you!  (Foster:  Laurie B)    April 16, 2025, 1:19 pm

Story
Meet Sugar Bear! Sugar Bear and her younger brother Dave recently arrived to our facility when their owner sadly passed away. Having grown up in a loving home, the shelter environment has obviously been a stressful change for them and are still working on getting settled in. Sugar Bear is the older, wiser, and more relaxed cat between the two. Most of the time she can be found high up in one of the cat towers just observing her surroundings and taking it all in. When she's not pondering the meaning of life, she's super affectionate and loves to sit on your lap. She also loves to have her long, luscious fur brushed! Sugar Bear can't currently clean herself since she has some painful ulcers in her mouth that she's receiving treatment for so Dave is a diligent caretaker and will provide cuddles and will even help groom her! It's the sweetest thing to see how much they love and care for each other. These two cats are some of the sweetest and most loving, gentle souls and are ready for their furever home where they can relax and be together. Could that be with you? Stop in today to meet Sugar Bear and Dave! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
