ABOUT QUINN & QUIGLEY These two brothers are a bonded pair and should be adopted together! Quigley is the more outgoing of the two, though they both can take a little time to warm up. Quinn can often be found curled up in a kitty bed or tiny hut. While Quigley prefers to stretch his legs and sprawl out. The way to their hearts is through play! Quinn enjoys interactive or wand toys. He is also very content staring out our large windows to keep an eye on the birds. While Quigley loves chasing after toys and is sure to rock a wiggle and pounce! They LOVE making new kitty friends and have enjoyed bouncing around our playroom. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Story
ABOUT LULU Lulu is a 1 year old tortoise-mix, long-haired cat who has an interesting background. Lulu was a stray who found her way to the Rehoboth Beach Lowe's store where the kind staff working there fed and took care of her. Knowing that living outside was a tough life for any cat, we were contacted and asked to help. Poor Lulu found herself in a family way and gave birth to six kittens! Now that her kittens are weaned, it's time for Lulu to find her forever home. She is a very friendly and social cat. We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started. **This cat has tested positive for FIV, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Many cats with FIV can live a long and happy lifespan if kept indoors and given routine veterinary care. FIV is not contagious to people or animals other than cats.

This new friend has just arrived! They have come to us either as a transfer from another shelter, being found as a stray, or have been surrendered to us by their owner. When our friends are new to us, we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, comfort with handling, or experience with other pets or children. Our staff will spend some time reviewing any information provided by previous owners and spend some time with our new friend so that we can better update their biography. Story
Cassie is a sweet, gentle girl who was rescued from the street. She could not be reunited with her kittens, but did a wonderful job raising three others who lost their mother. She is very docile, quiet, and calm. Cassie is always in a comfy spot enjoying the sights around her! She absolutely adores attention and being petted! She is very slowly learning to tolerate being held, but will need someone patient and willing to keep trying to get her used to it. She gets along with other cats and doesn’t mind dogs. Cassie is spayed, flea and worm treated, vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP, and negative for feline leukemia and FIV. If interested in adopting this nice kitty, please fill out an application at Castawaycatsde.com.

Story
Check out Bentley's muttonchops!!!  Pretty cool!  He looks big but weighs less than 9 pounds. Bentley, the bold and chonky king of the castle, is a dashing black cat with golden shimmers in his coat. He struts around with confidence and charm, always ready for a good petting session and a snack. This handsome fellow loves to chase toys and show off his regal demeanor to anyone who will watch. Bentley is out and about in one of our large cat rooms.  He greeted me when I arrived and he was happily soaking up the pets. When I moved on to visit Bethany, Bentley explored the room, used the scratcher and managed to wrap a toy around his tail. What a show off! Bentley is FIV+.  FIV+ cats can live and play with FIV- cats.  Please check out the quick facts sheet. Bentley would love to be in a home environment.  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Not ready to adopt?  Please consider fostering:  https://forgottencats.org/foster-a-cat/.   Thank you!  (Foster:  Trainer) May 13, 2024, 5:06 pm

Story
Head scratches, please!!  Please meet Paisley! She’s an adult, not sure about age, but very petite. She’s so affectionate and lives for head scratches. She’s intimidated by the loud noises and fast movements of small children but would do well with older kids that will let her take her time getting to know them. She’s interacted with my other cats a bit under the door, and mostly she seems to want to play with them. She’s generally quiet, tidy, and well-behaved. Also did I mention that she’s beautiful? Whoever scoops her up will be so glad they did! Paisley is playing with her foster family.  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/. Thank you!  (Foster:  Hilary M.)May 13, 2024, 5:06 pm
