Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you're working for home or just playing it safe by practicing social distancing, now is a perfect time to bring a new furry family member into the fold. Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact. Alfalfa is estimated to be about 3 years old as of April, 2024.  He found his way into a trap during a trap neuter return project and soon showed how friendly he was.  Not neutered, not chipped and in need of medical attention, this sweet boy was brought into rescue with a promise for a better life.  He is just the sweetest boy, all about pets, snuggles, being held and his food!  He's FIV positive, but that is not a concern since he is such a gentle boy.  Adopt him today!  Approved applications will be contacted within 48 hours. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) | Cornell University College of Veterinary MedicineVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:   $75 - Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year) $50 - Adult (1 Year +) $25 - Senior (7 Years +) $0 - FIV + There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc...) If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying. We also have a kitten special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125 While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.  Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours. If you are interested in adopting or would like to meet our cats, please fill out our adoption application online at www.safehousepets.org/info/adoption and a volunteer will contact you promptly.  May 13, 2024, 1:28 pm

Story
Elfie is a stunning female tabico! She is beautiful but needs some adjustment time and more socialization. She would do best in a home that is quiet and calm, but also willing to work with her. She has had a tough time accepting people but has trusted some staff members to give pets. She seems to do well with other cats also, as she finds comfort and confidence in them. She is often curled up with her brother Claus or other cats nearby.

Story
Renegade gives middle child energy.  He is the bravest and most confident out of his siblings and is always exploring in search of his next adventure.  He loves pets and will even tolerate being picked up and held in short spurts.  He doesn't mind the dog and was the first to walk by him and does it now without hesitation.  He would probably be great with kids, although he hasn't met any yet.  He is easily won over with some tinsel balls or other toys to throw around.  he would be happiest in a home with one of his siblings, especially Walker (the 2nd) or Mac.  But any other young, energetic cat to play with would be fine as well.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200 (if he is adopted with one of his siblings their adoption fee is $350 for the pair) To adopt Renegade email us at kakf3133@gmail.comMay 20, 2024, 10:41 pm

Story
Mac is a shy but curious boy.  He's hesitant about physical affection, like his sisters, but also like them, you can sneak in some love when he's eating or you're treating him to churu.  He watches his brothers get pets and love, like he's trying to figure out what all the hype is about.  Also like his sisters, he usually avoids the dog, so he'd do best in a home without any.  He would probably be fine with older children but younger ones would be too much.  He would do best in a home with another cat and we would love to see him adopted with one of his siblings.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $200 (if he is adopted with one of his siblings their adoption fee would be $350 for the pair) To adopt Mac, email us at kakf3133@gmail.comMay 20, 2024, 10:41 pm

Story
Walker (the 2nd) is a very playful young boy who loves pets and will rub his face and whole body against your hands for some good rubs!  He is curious about the dog, and brave enough to run by him if he wants to get by.  He should go in a home with another playful cat to help them burn off each other's energy.  He has not been around kids but we think he'd be good in a home with kids and we could see him making the right kid his person.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200 (if he is adopted with another kitten in the rescue their adoption fee is $350 for the pair) To adopt Walker (the 2nd) email us at kakf3133@gmail.comMay 20, 2024, 10:41 pm

Story
Skipper is about 7-8 months old now.  She's a little hand shy but distract her with some food or churu and she will let you sneak in some pets.  And her foster mom is confident that she will warm up to her own person/people with a little patience and a lot of love on her terms.  She loves to snuggle and play with her sister Sailor.  They are practically inseparable and we would really like them to get adopted together.  She is not crazy about dogs so she would prefer a house without them.  She hasn't been around kids either and would probably not like little kids but would be fine with older children.  She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $200 (if she is adopted with Sailor their adoption fee is $350 for the pair) To adopt Skipper email us at kakf3133@gmail.com May 20, 2024, 10:41 pm
