ABOUT SILVERWING This gorgeous gray girl is a 7-year-old shy lady. Silverwing came to HAP when she was found outside with her kittens. Understandably, after being a momma, she was a little apprehensive to accept help. Her babies were all weaned and have been adopted, so now we're hoping someone will love her too! Despite her initial worries, she has opened up with some of our staff. Silverwing can still be nervous with most new people. She is seeking a patient owner to help the world isn't so scary! To build her confidence, she would do best in a calm, quiet home environment without young kids or dogs. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT SQUISHY! Meet Squishy, our one-eye wonder! This fuzzy girl came to HAP as a stray, with a very bad eye infection. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the eye was deemed a total loss and had to be removed. Luckily for Squishy, that meant she got to recover in one of our amazing foster homes, where she experienced the best of the housecat life! Squishy is a little bit of a weirdo, but in the best way! She likes to hiss at people and then demand attention, she loves to pounce on her kitty friends and then act confused when they get mad at her, and she loves to lay on computers and press random keys! *Squishy loves other cats and needs to go to a home with kitty friends! We don't recommend young kids or dogs, as she can get nervous. **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
ABOUT JAYNE! Meet Jayne, our beautiful 4-year-old calico! This sweet lady was brought to HAP after she was found outside with her very young kittens. Because the shelter is no place for moms or kittens, we sent the lot to one of our amazing fosters. Jayne loved being in a home and settled right in! Now her babies are grown and adopted, it's Jayne's turn to find a forever home! Jayne did very well in the foster's home, however she hasn't had the easiest time adjusting to shelter life. She much prefers space to stretch out and run around! In the home, she was very affectionate and enjoyed being pampered! In the shelter, she may give a quick hiss but won't do anything beyond that. We hope someone will be able to look past her grouchiness and see what a sweet girl she is! *Jayne hasn't gotten along with cats in the shelter, so we recommend she be the only cat. We don't think she'd do well with dogs or very young children, but older kids should be fine! **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
Bubs is a rescue who used to live on the street, and is very shy because of this - especially sensitive to loud noises. But the hard life Bubs had before only makes him more loving and appreciative now. Once he is comfortable around you, Bubs will be your purring cuddle buddy. Bubs is very calm, and will only ever want to hide under your bed if he's overwhelmed. Otherwise expect him to be your fluffy buddy following you around asking for forehead scratches. He has been neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Story
Palace and her siblings were born outside a restaurant and living in the woods. The people that own the restaurant we're feeding them everyday and we're giving them attention and try to make shelters for them. When we found out about it we asked them if we could help them get them spayed or neutered and possibly find a home. They did not want them to go anywhere they like their company but when the landlord found out about it he said they had to leave, so we took them in. They are all now spayed, vaccinated for fvrcp and rabies, flea and worm treated and are negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. India and her sister Palace would make a great match if you're looking for a pair and if interested please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com
