Story
Tigger is a handsome tuxedo boy with the cutest personality to match his classic black-and-white coat. He’ll be 2 years old on July 30th and still has that fun, playful kitten energy. He loves exploring, lounging in cozy spots, and being around his people. Tigger is affectionate, curious, and has a sweet, gentle nature. He would thrive in a loving home where he can get attention, playtime, and a stable routine. He’s used to being part of a family and would do best with someone who can give him the time and care he deserves. He’s looking for a safe, indoor home where he can settle in and be someone’s loyal little companion. 🐾

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC.Hi!  I'm Sky.  My Mom and 4 sisters came to Purrs Abound when our Mother's rescuer could no longer care for us.  I love to be in high places....that's why I was named Sky!  I'm a natural-born climber who loves to explore high spaces to find perches.  My ideal forever home will provide me with lots of high perch areas to explore without fear of breaking anything or being scolded. I am told that I am a mellow soul.  That's true, as I love hanging out with the family and just watching from above but, depending on my mood, I also won't say no to pets when offered.  I would love to be adopted with one of my family members who are also available.  Otherwise, I've had experience living with all of my Mom and sisters but I have not been exposed to dogs.  My Foster Mom thinks, though, that I may be okay with a low-energy doggie companion, especially one who is cat friendly.  The same is true of children.  Older kids or those who are experienced with treating a beautiful girl such as myself with respect may be okay. If you have questions about Sky, please private message Retta Holefca using Facebook Messenger or submit our online application that can be found on this website.  There is no cost associated with submitting the form and it provides our Rescue with valuable information to determine if your family would be the best match possible for Sky!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 7:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC. Introducing Leo!   Leo is a love bug who is currently being fostered in Oakland County, Mi.  He enjoys snuggling and sleeping next to you. He never tires of pets and loves to talk to you. He loves to have his face close to yours during cuddle time. Once a routine is established, he sticks to it and he will let you know if you are off schedule on his feedings or bed time.   During his time with us we found that though he loves to scratch, it’s not on furniture. As long as he has a scratch pad that is horizontal he will go there all the time. He does scratch a lot so having several scratch pads will protect furniture. He has not scratched people while in our care. He will reach out to you for attention from time to time and you will feel that he has claws, but he hasn’t scratched.   Food is a driving force for him. He loves anything he can get. His foster family gives him three different food types and treats and he has no problem eating. This would make him very trainable as he is willing to jump up and his foster Mom has even gotten him to sit for a treat. He’s also very persistent, so leaving food out will surely mean he will get into it. Despite this, he does not exhibit any food aggression with people or other cats. When feeding with other cats, it seems as if he wants to eat their food and then eat his own after. So, if there is more than one cat in the house, supervised eating is recommended as he will eat it all.   Confidence is not a problem. At first he may be a bit leery, but he is quick to become comfortable. He will take the center of any room with his tail raised and is not afraid to venture out. He is fine with medium and small dogs. Large dogs scare him and he will hiss and warn. He will set his boundaries with hisses and swats. Once these boundaries are set, he is fine with other cats as well. Through our veterinary testing, we have learned that Leo has tested positive for FIV or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.  Cats with FIV can live long, healthy and normal lives.  In addition, contrary to many beliefs, cats who have carry the FIV virus can integrate into a household with other cats as long as none of the cats in the home are aggressive.  This is because FIV is spread through deep puncture wounds that occur with bites and generally is not transmitted between cats from mutual grooming or sharing bowls or litter boxes.  Please visit Cornell Feline Health Center's article on FIV for details concerning this virus at https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv   Interested in adopting Leo? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC.1/30/2024   LUNA Age: Around 7-8 Years Old Coat Length: Long House-trained: Semi-trained. Has been having a few accidents. Health: Vaccinations up to Date on Age Appropriate Shots, Microchipped. Negative for FIV and FELV. Good in a Home with: Other cats, older or no children. Meet Luna, one of The Queens. She and her sisters had spent their whole lives with their mother's rescuer, basking in the warmth of a loving home, until unforeseen circumstances led them to the doors of animal control. Fortunately, Purrs Abound swooped in to orchestrate a second chance for Luna and five family members. A dedicated foster opened their heart and home, providing a safe haven for all six in their time of need (where they are currently residing, together). The rescue then worked to ensure that The Queens received the best medical care, bringing them up to date on all their needs. Now, this sweet family is ready to embark on a new chapter in their lives and find their new forever family. Luna is a shining star in her own right, blessed with a friendly disposition and a penchant for human companionship. This enchanting kitty is ready to weave her way into your heart with her affectionate nature and charismatic charm. Whether it's hanging out with you while you're home or watching the world outside through the window, Luna is always up for some quality time. If you're looking for a delightful companion who will make every day brighter, Luna is the Queen for your loving home! Like a true Queen, she can be a little demanding when it comes to attention, often reaching out a paw so that you'll take notice. That being said, she's very sweet about it and very happy when you're able to give her the pets she craves. While she is having a few accidents outside the litter box, her foster mother is working on helping her with that matter at this time. Luna would love to be adopted with any of her family members except Ruby. While the reasons are unknown, Ruby does not get along well with Luna so please bear that in mind if considering adopting more than one of The Queens. While Luna has experience with cats, via her family, she has only a little dog experience with her foster mother's corgi. Most likely, she would be okay with a low-energy canine companion, especially one familiar with the feline way of life. Much in the same vein, she does not have known experience with children but older kids or those who are experienced with cats would likely be fine. PLEASE HELP US FIND LUNA HER FOREVER HOME!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 7:49 pm
