Story
Eleanor is a gentle and lovely girl with a soft, medium-length coat and an equally soft personality. She came to us with her littermate, Piper, after their owner could no longer care for them.Eleanor can be a bit shy at first, but with patience and a calm environment, she blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion. She appreciates a quiet space where she can settle in at her own pace and begin to feel safe.We recommend a home with children 8 and up who can understand her need for gentle interactions. If you have a dog at home, slow and careful introductions will be key to making Eleanor feel comfortable.Whether she`s lounging in a sunny spot or quietly observing her surroundings, Eleanor is ready to find a forever home where she can feel secure and loved. Could that be with you?If you`re interested in meeting Eleanor or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, they are open M-F from 10am-4pm.Adoption fee is $50

Story
Astro is a lovable, 1-year-old kitty who was found as a stray and is now ready to find a forever home. Despite his rough start in life, he’s shown just how sweet and affectionate he is with his human friends. Astro enjoys being around people and would thrive in a home with children aged 5 and up. He’s a social cat who loves attention and is always up for a snuggle session.Astro has a playful side, too! He’ll happily chase after toys and would love a home with plenty of stimulating playtime. He’s especially fond of his scratching post, so you can be sure he’ll keep his claws in check while enjoying some solo play. If you have other cats or dogs at home, Astro will need slow introductions to make sure everyone gets along. Once he’s settled in, he’s sure to be a great companion for everyone, furry and human alike.Could Astro be the purrfect addition to your family? If you’re ready to give this affectionate guy a forever home, come meet him today! If you are interested in meeting Astro or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, they are open M-F from 10am-4pm.Adoption fee is $75

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Brought in from a TNR project this litter will be ready to ROCK in their forever homes ! vaccinated and FIV-FelV Negative. She was found living under a volunteers home along with her sister and mother (Mom has been TNR'd and sister has been adopted) Dee Dee short for Diablo is still working on socialization, would do best in a home with another cat/kitten she can bond with and possibly a calm dog. Please no children under 12.  Dee Dee is slowly but surely realizing that people are not scary and is learning to ask for pets and share her purrs.  She likely will not be a lap cat but LOVES her churu treats and playing with her foster siblings.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment.
