Midnight was a young kitten when he arrived and Solo is still a kitten at heart. Solo has blossomed over the past year being in our home after being rescued from a locked dumpster, freezing and alone-- from shuddering each time I tried to pet him to being the welcome crew whenever someone new comes to the house and rubbing on their legs showing affection. He still isn't a fan of being picked up (understandably), but he is always near and is first in line for treats and food time. He jumps around the house parkour-style and sounds like an elephant stomping around even though he only weighs 9lbs. Midnight is the talker of the house. He is always mewing and meowing to me, at me, and around me throughout the day. He loves to play and his favorite "toy" to get his paws on is a roll of paper towels. While Midnight does not enjoy being picked up either, he does love to lay on the couch with me. He will knead the couch blanket while he purrs and purrs, demanding pets and snuggles before curling up for a nap, he's a very loving boy once he warms up to people.   About us: Did we just become best friends? Yep! It happened just like that! Midnight was a scared little kitten when he got here, but I let him know that our foster mom was a very reliable food lady and loved us all a lot and soon enough he started to settle in. Our foster mom knew that both of us were a little scared about new situations, so she decided that we'd do best if we could always be with our built-in best friend, so we get to be adopted together! A 2-for-1! I'm jazzed about that because you can always find us together. We eat together, we nap on the kitty heating pads together, we play together, and we get into shenanigans together. If you want to come to meet me and my little buddy, Midnight, fill out an app and chat with our foster mom to set up a time! Midnight and I will be here waiting!--Solo May 1, 2024, 9:43 pm

Since being with my foster family my skittishness has lessened. I have started being more comfortable being on someone's lap and being petted.  I definitely would feel most comfortable in a quiet  environment.  Other cats would probably be okay since I have been with my sister since the farm.  I would be okay going with my sister Kiki to a family but we'd both be just fine with having different families.  I require a soft bed on a cat tree before the window. Story
This is Honey! She is almost 1 year old. Honey is spayed with all required shots. She has very soft fur, and loves affection. Honey is very ladylike, feminie and clean. She likes her scratching pad and would love to have a cat tree/tower to rest or watch what is happening outdoors. Honey is so graceful and loving. She is a dream cat, very easy. She would thrive in a home with a loving adult family/person. She loves to be held and petted. She needs a loving indoor home with annual vet visits and lots of love to give her. She is a very special girl.

Story
UPDATE: Peepers does not have to wear diapers when he is on a raw diet.  His stools are firm, and no mess is made.  Peepers has been leaving his backend alone now.  He certainly can wear diapers if preferred as he occasionally plays hard enough to squeeze out a small, dry, odorless turd.  Otherwise Peepers is good at heading to the litterbox and depositing them there.  He just doesn't have a sphincter to prevent play from squeezing an occasional turd out.  We consider his diapers an easy option for the dear boy.   Peepers is an amazing young man, one year old, who arrived in our care as a tiny kitten with anal atresia due to trauma (cockleburs).  Unfortunately, the first surgeon didn't recognize his condition and expanded his fistula.  The next surgical team combined the original anus and the fistula by cutting through the anal sphincter.  That means that Peepers doesn't have a functional anal sphincter.  But given our main goal was to give him a functional "poop chute" we are happy with the outcome.  Peepers does take a twice daily medication.  He runs and plays and loves to chase and rumble with other felines.  He's comfortable with our resident dog.  Peepers does tend to bond to one person, but he did fabulously well with all his vet visits and staff fell in love with him.  Peepers has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper.  He tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.  Peepers is available for adoption for $50 (our rescue survives on donations).  Peepers is NOT declawed.   Please note that Peepers is located in New Prague, MN. 1700+ adoptions and counting. . .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2024, 6:54 pm

Story
Precious wee polydactyl Woodby was a transfer from another rescue after a recommendation was made by a vet to euthanize.  Woodby's offense?  An anal stricture.  Woodby arrived in our care 2/20/24, and we got the dear boy into our vet as well as the surgeon who had just successfully addressed another feline's anal stricture.  The recommendation?  Wait and see.  Woodby's anus was functional and patent, and the surgeon knew that he stood a chance of having the stricture expand with him as he grew.  Thankfully, that is exactly what happened.  Wee Woodby's stricture expanded from 3mm to over 10mm.  And he is still growing.  All this dear boy needs is a little bit of over-the-counter Miralax.  His biggest issue became that his stool would stick to the fur around his bum.  Now Woodby is eating a raw diet (free range chicken with supplements), and that is no longer an issue.  As a precaution, Woodby requires a home that would not be bothered by occasional stools dropping outside of the litterbox.  Woodby has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper.  He's negative for FIV and feline leukemia.  Woodby does fabulously well with other felines (and needs a feline buddy wherever he goes).  He also does just fine with the resident canine.  Woodby is available for adoption for $60.   Please note that Woodby is located in New Prague, MN.   1700+ adoptions and counting. . .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2024, 6:54 pm

Story
This lovely white and black tuxedo female, born, Oct. 2021, was found left at a farm and was pregnant. Vera enjoys sitting right next to you while you watch TV, but does not like to be held or picked up at this stage. Vera enjoys playing with balls by herself and with interactive toys with you, plus window watching for wildlife. She is a chatter box, has a medium purr, and likes a little brushing. Vera is friendly with known folks, hasn’t met strangers or dogs, and doesn’t like girl cats. After a few stokes of petting, she swats your hand away. Vera is best with kids over 10. She has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom in a new setting and you be rewarded with a special relationship with her? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax.
