Hi! My name is Nikko. My approximate birthdate is September 1, 2025. I am a medium hair Black kitten. At first, I am a little shy; but I become very friendly very quickly. I am a very affectionate little boy who loves sitting on your lap and being petted. That’s when my purr machine kicks in! I am an active kitten who likes to chase balls, toy springs, and run through the cat tunnel. Climbing up and taking a nap on the cat pole is one of my favorite things to do. I like being high up where I can watch all that’s going on around me. My Foster Mom wants to apologize for my “dark” pictures. Since I am black, it’s very hard for the camera to take a clear shot. You will have to come and see me in person to see how handsome I really am. I have a very social personality and will not do well without a feline or canine partner to keep me company. * Please note when applying for me that I must be adopted along with another kitten or into a house that has a cat or dog so I won't get lonely. All kittens reside in foster homes and are not kept at the actual shelter. They have been spay/neutered, microchipped, wormed, FeLV tested, and have had at least their first distemper vaccine depending on age. The adopter is responsible for all remaining vaccines. Potential adopters will need to complete an application and provide proof of vet care/vaccinations and spay/neuter for other animals living in the home. Cupcake (AKA Cups, AKA Tubbs) is a 13yo rescue cat. At least two other previous owners before me, and it seems like she might have some trauma from her first owner. I took over caring for Cupcake when her previous owner had to re-home. Cupcake does not like other pets in the household and thrives best with either one or two adults and no other animals. That happened to describe me at the time, but I have moved in with my fiancee, who has two cats in the house. We have tried everything to get them to get along without success. Tubbs is a great cat for the right home. She mostly keeps to herself and isn't disruptive, doesn't knock things down or rip things up, pays little heed of toys, just lounges about the house while her humans are away at work. But at the end of the day she loves to cuddle up in a lap or behind your legs and stay with you for hours. She gets very affectionate around meal times. I'm hoping to find the right house for her to live out her remaining days.
