Story
This gorgeous floof ball is  Klaudia.  She is on the shy side to start but warms up quickly. Her fur has a very unique coloring and is super soft.   Klaudia enjoys pets and is fine with being held.  She gets along well with the other kitties at her foster and enjoys playing and lounging in the sun with them.  Klaudia  would love to get adopted with her sister  Kyla or a friend from her foster home.    Klaudia is about 5 months old( as of 7/1/25) , spayed, up-to-date on and negative for FIV and FeLV.  Interested in adopting, please email dlw0311@hotmail.com

Story
Introducing Mistletoe, a medium hair tuxedo beauty. Mistletoe found herself in foster care over a year ago when she was picked up from a well-cared for colony. Mom was fixed and returned to the colony and all babies have grown and found homes—except Mistletoe. We are looking for a home or permanent foster home for Mistletoe that will allow her to be less stressed. Unfortunately, Mistletoe was found to have a congenital heart defect. She has had two cardiology consults and our cardiologist confirmed that she can still live a decent life without any medication. She needs a calm home without much commotion or any animals to keep her stress levels minimal. Timid Mistletoe is easily overlooked because you will never see her when you visit. People scare her. If you have ever wanted a cat without knowing that you own one, Mistletoe would be the perfect fit. Although she is shy, Mistletoe loves treats like a Churu and meal times! She even enjoys being groomed with a slicker comb if you are lucky to be graced with her presence. She is cat selective and does not do well with felines that are in her bubble. Mistletoe prefers to be left alone and will only interact with a cat when she is comfortable. She is currently in a foster home with other cats that come and go. This can be very taxing on her mentally. Sometimes she even needs to be put in a pen to help her decompress. For this reason, we hope to find her a forever home that is understanding of her timid nature or a permanent foster home that fits the bill. Mistletoe will be a challenge, but we have hope that with a patient person who understands shy, withdrawn cats, this beauty will blossom. Mistletoe is about 10 months old, spayed, up to date with vaccinations and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. For more information, please contact Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The Cat Shack, Inc. is in dire need of foster homes. We are currently over capacity and need more foster homes. What is involved with fostering? We cover any veterinary care that may be needed, and you provide lots of love and attention. Each day so many cats and kittens are euthanized or left to fend for themselves outside. We get dozens of calls each week asking if we can help with stray cats and kittens so there are many more out there that need to be saved. We would like to help more of these poor kitties out there but need your help. How do our cats get adopted? Many cats are adopted through the postings on our website. We have our adoption center at the PetSmart in Whitehall which houses anywhere from 4- 9 cats at a time and another adoption center at Dogtown in New Britain. Foster homes can bring the cats or kittens to adoption days or other special events to promote adoptions. If you want to foster a specific cat or kitten or if you have a preference as to what you'd like to foster, we can help you find the right foster kitty. Without your help, we won't be able to help the many kitties out there that need our help! If you are interested in fostering, please fill out an online application to adopt or call us at 610-967-9097, option 3. When filling out the application, list the cat name if there is a specific cat you would like to foster. We do screen our adopters and do a home visit to make sure our cats and kittens are getting the very best home they deserve. So you have peace of mind knowing they will be going to a great home! There is nothing more rewarding then seeing your foster cat or kitten get adopted!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA. The first step in adoption is to...
