Story
Grey’s Angel Girl was surrendered to Critter Cavalry Rescue last November, rescued from a farm of many, many sick cats.  This 3 year old was one of the lucky ones.  Not terribly sick; nothing that a few different medications quickly cured.  Now inside, in the kitty room, Grey definitely felt “out-of-sorts” for the first few months.  She was difficult to even touch the first several weeks.  A lot of hissing and fussing, I knew she was just scared.  Slowly but surely, Grey came to realize she was in a safe spot.  All this lady needed was a little love and reassurance every day, that it was all okay.  “This soft bed is for me?  This cozy cubby is mine?”  It has been rewarding to watch her improve day after day.  Grey is about 90% there, and with a little extra TLC, she will reach 100% in no time. There is a sweetheart in there.  Do you secretly cheer for the under-dog?  Or under-cat, in this case?  She so wants her forever home!  To pass the time, Grey Girl plays well on her own and alone.  She likes to bat the ball on the triple tiered ball toy.  Or the feathered toy on the end of the wand.  Grey Girl enjoys playing with the one year old female in the kitty room.  They play tag up and down the cat tower.  It is short-lived, but at least she has learned to play with others.  She is friendly with the other cats in the kitty room, but I think Grey would blossom more if she is the only cat getting all the attention!  She has never known that, being “the only cat”.  Grey can barely contain herself when mom pulls out the rubber brush!  No matter where she is in the kitty room, she is next to me immediately.  She is soon a large lump of love.  You can brush her for hours, it seems.  It is great watching her roll over and relax.  Grey has mastered the art of napping.  Don’t we all wish we could nap like a cat?  Head scratches?  Grey cannot get enough of them.  And back scratches, too?  Show me more!  Can you embrace this lovely, diluted grey and tan tortie with those big green, beautiful eyes?  It is time for her to get selected.  It is time for her to find her forever home.  Are you here to save the day?  To save Grey?  Please email CCR at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you want to be her 'Saving Greyce'.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Just like her namesake, this Meredith Grey was driven to save lives.  A devoted mama to her own five kittens, she welcomed and adopted two extras as her own!  She was truly one of the best mama cats I’ve ever fostered.  Meredith took her role seriously: her babies always came first.  All business.  No time for play when there were kittens to nurse, groom and care for!  Watching this green, saucer-eyed beauty in action was pure joy.  Now that her kittens are ready for adoption, Meredith is rediscovering what it means to be playful.  At 8 or 9 months old, Meredith is still a kitten herself.  She loves chasing the wand toy alongside her little ones—though she’s gracious enough to let them catch it first!  She has also discovered how wonderful ear scratches can be, and once she gets going, her purr motor doesn’t stop.  And you won’t be able to resist her beautiful soft, grey-swirled fur, that is destined for belly rubs.  She is easy to fall in love with!  Meredith has paid her dues as a hardworking mama.  No more babies for her!  She’s now spayed, healthy, and ready for her forever home; a well-deserved life of luxury, rest, and gentle affection.  While she’s still learning to enjoy cuddles, kisses, and hugs, her sweet and loyal personality shines through every day.  Can Meredith fit into your home and heart?  Help this beautiful, gentle soul start her next chapter.  Contact CCR today and give this incredible mama the permanent vacation she has earned!   If you are interested in adopting this beautiful survivor, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Toby, and I’m a handsome green-eyed gray tabby gentleman with a big heart and an even bigger appreciation for the good life. I’m estimated to be around 3–4 years old, and I’ve officially decided that my days of living outdoors are behind me. Just in time for the cold winter weather, a kind lady rescued me from the elements and showed me something I’d been missing—comfort, safety, and kindness. Now I dream of a forever home with a soft blanket, a cozy couch, and a sunny window where I can relax and watch the world go by. Even though I spent time outside, I have wonderful social skills. I may take a moment to be sure you’re my friend, but once I know you mean well, I warm up quickly and enjoy companionship. I used to think people were scary—but I’ve learned they can also be loving, gentle, and trustworthy. I enjoy playful moments and little antics that keep things entertaining, and my foster mom proudly says I am a GREAT CAT. There is one important thing to know about me: I am FIV-positive, something I likely inherited from my mom. The good news? I am healthy, happy, and living life just like any other cat. FIV is manageable, and many FIV-positive cats live long, full lives. Please take a look at the flyer in my photos—it explains everything clearly and helpfully. If you’re looking for a sweet, grateful companion who truly appreciates the warmth of a loving home, I might just be your guy. For more information about Toby, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Her name is Bright Eyes — and the moment you see her, you’ll understand why. Those wide, luminous eyes are always alert, always curious, always taking in the world around her. At just 2 years old, this gorgeous gray tabby girl lives up to her name every single day. What makes Bright Eyes even more special is her journey. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was timid and unsure, keeping her distance and trying to figure out if the world was a safe place. With time, patience, and an abundance of love, she has blossomed into an affectionate, playful, endlessly entertaining companion. Watching her transformation has been nothing short of magical. Now? She doesn’t want to miss a single moment with her people. Bright Eyes prefers to be near her foster mom, soaking up affection and creating her own brand of comedy. She pounces on anything that remotely resembles a toy, paws at the television during her “favorite programs” (she was especially invested in the Olympics!), and keeps the household laughing with her antics. And speaking of the Olympics — Bright Eyes is a gold medalist in cuddling. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite event, and she takes them very seriously. She’s also a fierce competitor in high-jump, long-jump, and “jump onto literally anything available.” Sometimes she sticks the landing perfectly. Sometimes she… doesn’t. But like any true champion, she shakes it off (with the tiniest hint of embarrassment) and goes right back for another try. Bright Eyes is more than just a beautiful cat — she is resilient, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. Her bright spirit and loving heart will truly change someone’s life. If you feel ready to welcome this special girl into your home, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and be sure to mention the city and state where you live. Bright Eyes is ready to shine in her forever home.  March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
