Story
Everyone meet our fluffy girl Olive! Olive is a princess looking for her very own castle and servants. Someone to feed her delicious wet food and Churu treats, to keep her litterbox nice and tidy, and to dote on her while she spends the day watching birds and squirrels from the window. Oh, and let’s not forget a personal trainer to run her around with cat toys!   Olive has been unlucky with humans in the past, so she is wary when meeting new people. She’s a stubborn girl who wants you to earn her trust before she opens up. We recommend setting her up in your bedroom for a few weeks, so she gets to know you before letting her explore the house or meeting new furry friends. She needs to know you are safe before you are allowed to grace her with pets (belly rubs only on her command, of course).   Olive 100% knows she’s always the prettiest in the room and doesn’t care for female competition. Olive gets along much better with male cat friends who want her constant love and affection. She will swoon for the right boy. We don’t believe Olive has ever met a dog, but a calm, quiet dog would probably be best. Don’t want to annoy our princess ;)   She truly needs a quiet and understanding family to let her blossom. Olive deserves the dream life and we hope someone out there is willing to give it to her! Story
With her soulful eyes and sweet demeanor, Miss Finch is a gorgeous tortie kitten ready for her forever family! She starts out quiet, but becomes quite mischievous once she warms up! She loves to pounce on mouse toys and hide in the crinkle kitten tunnel! Feather toys are her favorite, and she'll even share them with her brothers and sisters. She can be a bit reserved at first with people, but with a little bit of patience, she will give a whole lotta love to her future family.     She'll need to be adopted with a litter mate (Abby Kadabby, Julia or Grover) or into a forever home with an existing playful feline.   Approximate DOB: April 2024 Foster Home Location: Fort Atkinson     Consider adopting 2 kittens! There are many benefits including: - One kitten can become lonely and bored - Two kittens will keep each other busy - Having two kittens is very entertaining! - You’ll have fewer behavioral issues with two kittens - You’ll save TWO lives instead of just one - Adoption fee is discounted for the 2nd kitten     If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website:    https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff   Please allow several days for us to process your application. Grover is a momma's boy and the big brother to a big group of kittens! He makes sure everyone is included when playing, and he loves to find new places to explore. He will play for hours and then enjoy watching some cat TV on his foster mom's phone. This little guy has big potential to become a cherished family member in his new home.   He'll need to be adopted with a litter mate (Abby Kadabby, Julia or miss finch) or into a forever home with an existing playful feline.   Approximate DOB: April 2024 Foster Home Location: Fort Atkinson     Consider adopting 2 kittens! Story
Julia has unique markings with a distinctive orange tail tip! She has both a timid and spunky personality and is the main instigator with finding new adventures for herself and her siblings. She loves to climb, jump, and explore and sometimes doesn't know her own strength. She has a playful streak that will keep you entertained for hours, but she also has a timid side and is learning to enjoy head scratches and belly rubs. Julia is looking for a loving home where she can thrive and bring joy to her new family.   She'll need to be adopted with a litter mate (Grover, Abby Kadabby or miss finch) or into a forever home with an existing playful feline.    Approximate DOB: April 2024 Foster Home Location: Fort Atkinson     Consider adopting 2 kittens! Story
Weatherby Grumbles, Esq. is a fancy name for a cat with humble beginnings. Grumbles was trapped at a farm where our rescue is working to help control the feral cat population. We get them all fixed up and sterilized, then bring them back home to live out the rest of their lives sans baby-making. Most of them want absolutely nothing to do with people. But some have a little special something, like Grumbles.   It's been a few months since Grumbles moved inside a house. He's learned all sorts of things that we take for granted, such as the sounds of the dishwasher don't mean a big scary monster is coming to eat him. He uses the scratching posts very well.    Grumbles appreciates having some good hidey hole options to retreat to, and doesn't much care for the boisterous dogs he shares his foster home with. A bit too much for him. He does absolutely adore his fellow kitty friends. They are always snuggling, grooming each other, or wrassling. He will take people pets from time to time, on his terms, because hands are still a bit intimidating. He's kind of like the budget version of a bougie peacock; you appreciate his good looks with your eyes. From a distance.    And he does grumble. After all, he has that big, fancy name to live up to.    Approximate DOB: 2022 Foster Home Location: Madison If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff   Please allow several days for us to process your application. Story
Blizzard is a tiny little girl but don’t underestimate her. She likes to play rough just like all her sisters. She likes having her tummy rubbed but will sneak up and climb your back or a bare leg if you’re not careful. She is also quite curious since she has gotten herself stuck in a big box and has to wait for her foster mom to pull her out. She has a wonderful appetite and also she is good at keeping her long fur clean.   She will need to be adopted with a sibling (cyclone, monsoon, squall or avalanche) or to be adopted into a home with an existing playful feline.    Approximate DOB: May 2024 Foster Home Location: West Allis      Consider adopting 2 kittens! Story
In the last couple months we have seen an increase of FeLV+cats. This is from 2 separate home on different sides of Elkhorn and then a home in Whitewater. What is FeLV? The technical name is Feline Leukemia Virus. Like FIV it can weaken the cat's immune system and shorten their life. Is FeLV contagious to other cats? Yes it is! It's easily transmissible between cats by saliva - grooming each other, sharing the same dishes. Cats that are positive are looking for a home with no other felines. They are able to live with other animals such as dogs. **There's a vaccine that may help the current cat in the home but you would need to reach out to your veterinary to discuss this.Best placement for FeLV kitties? ·Someone able to keep the cat indoors only·Taken to regular checkups - maybe even more than normalHow long can they live? Cats can live anywhere between 2-5 years, maybe even longer. It's not something the shelter sees often. Strangely we see more FIV cats enter our shelter. Currently with have babies that are 2 months old up to adults. If you are willing to open your heart and home to these very special babies, please reach out! These kitties deserve a chance at a home just like anyone else.Adoption Information ~·Age appropriate vaccines ·FeLV+·Fecal exam ·Microchipped ·Neutered/Spayed·Only FeLV+ cat homeAdoption fee ~ Name Your OwnYou can Apply below ??https://lakelandanimalshelter.org/adopt/adoption-profile-online-form/cat-adoption-form/*Cat rooms at Lakeland are open to the public during the time of open hours of Monday-Friday 12p-5p, Saturday 11a-4p but Delavan PetSmart is by appointment.

Story
Jada is quiet, shy and slow to trust. She is sweet, gentle and loves attention, especially loves to be brushed, given treats and catnip. She was originally an outdoor cat but only wants to be indoors now. She has been known to bond with other adult cats, but she dislikes kittens. She would be perfect if she were the only cat. Jada is a beautiful girl with the greenest eyes you have ever seen. She is a "grazer" and likes to eat slowly, savoring her food.
