Story
I'm Samantha My favorite thing to do is Play with pipe cleaners. If you have a bag of pipe cleaners put away, I will find them and spread them out all over my room. What makes me special is that I am a highly sensitive cat. I am currently on medication to manage my anxiety and I am doing really great with it! This is something that I will have to be on for the rest of my life, so I am hoping to find a home who will be committed to giving me the care that I need. Changes can be challenging for me. Loud noises and sudden movements make me nervous, but my medication helps with that! I want my new owner to know that I just want a safe, quiet home, where I have the humans all to my own to talk to, sleep with, and get all the love. I need my humans to understand that I need my medication in order to manage my anxiety, and I take it with no issues, so it will not be hard to maintain through my life. I do need to be the only pet in the home, but that's okay, I can give you enough love for TEN cats! When I am feeling playful, I like to run and play. I like the tunnel and pipe cleaners. When it is time to rest, I sleep in my bed or in the cat tree, but if you let me, I will sleep with you.  I am not good around Cats, Dogs, Kids By nature I am… Playful, Loud, Curious, Energetic.May 16, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Achilles My favorite thing to do is Play hide -n-go seek... Im always the hider. I love to play and chase toys! What makes me special is I was brought into the rescue when I was only 6 weeks old after having a tragic accident that caused me to break two of my legs and mangle my tail. After many weeks in casts, a tail and a leg amputation, I recovered with only a nubby tail and a hop to show for it. I have always been a little scared of people but a really am sweet inside. I want my new owner to know I need a home with a LOT of patience. I am not the kind of kitty you bring home and start playing with. I may need weeks to feel safe and comfortable. I scare pretty easy so I will need a quiet home with no dogs or young children. Older teens would be ok. I would do best in a home where I'm the only animal. Don't let this scare you off of me! Once I'm sure everything is OK, I am the biggest love bug! I will want to be pet, snuggled, scratched and belly rubbed! My foster mom put her bed on the floor so I wouldn't hide under there while I was adjusting and it is just low enough that I can climb up. I love to watch TV with my people at night while they give me love. Then I get down and play with all my toys. When I am feeling playful I like to… I love stuffed mice, anything I can hit and then chase after, krinkle balls and string. I love to chase bottle caps too. When it is time to rest I sleep I sleep on the bed or in my hiding spot. I am not only a 3 legged cat, I'm also a chubby 3 legged cat. I never really got the hang of climbing after my accident. I can do stairs and low shelves but tall cat trees are not recommended. When I get spooked, I dart and if I'm up high...I just face-plant. Grace isn't in my vocabulary. I am good with Kids, Cats and I am not good with or unsure around Dogs By nature I am… Energetic, Playful, Very Shy, Loud, Affectionate.May 16, 2024, 9:59 pm

Meet Pizazz My favorite thing to do is Eat and EAT. I sleep a lot also. I enjoy a squeeze up treat at lunch time.  What makes me special is I am an old girl and afraid of new people and loud noises I want my new owner to know It takes a while to get use to new things and people but then I do not like to be alone. I will lay in your lap when it's my idea. I definitely need to go on a diet.  When I am feeling playful I like to… I will play with cat toys but I do not have a favorite one When it is time to rest, I sleep on the floor behind a chair. I have a blanket but after it was washed I do not use it much I am not good with or unsure around Cats, Dogs, and Kids. By nature I am… Quiet and I do not like to be held.May 16, 2024, 9:59 pm

Hello, I'm Betty! My favorite thing to do is be lazy and lounge around. I'm very calm and go-with-the-flow. I also enjoy being close to my person, but I might be a bit shy at first. What makes me special is that I am very friendly and lovable. I love pets and want to be a part of your day. I want my new owner to know that I am a little shy at first. It may take a little time for me to warm up to you. I also need to be adopted with my brother Barney. We have not been apart a day in our lives and he helps me be more social. When I am feeling playful I like to... chase toys that roll around, like jingle balls. When it is time to rest I sleep anywhere my brother sleeps. I am good with Cats, Kids and Dogs By nature I am...Playful, Shy, Quiet, Affectionate.May 16, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
Meet...Kfir! My favorite thing to do is run and play! I LOVE to chase bells and strings. Springs are cool to throw and fetch too. What makes me special is I'm a little scaredy cat. I jump with loud noises, but I sure love to play! I'd love to have a confident cat friend in my forever home, I feel safe when there's a bigger friend to show me the way- and I love to play. I want my new owner to know I'm a little timid at first, I trust other animals more than big scary people. I'll probably take a minute before I'm comfortable around new people and a new place. I love to run and play - I chase the red laser for days! Balls and springs are my favorite toys, food is a close second. I'll warm up and get cuddly when I'm tired- but I don't love to be hugged on or smothered so much. I'm fun, playful and entertaining. The zoomies come, and I can't be stopped! When I am feeling playful I like to... Red laser chase, the ball spinner, feathers and just plain old boxes are all fun. I most enjoy playing jump scare with the other cats in my foster's home. I'm small and stealthy, and I love to play- even when they are wanting to nap ;) When it is time to rest I sleep I love tipitty top of the cat tree, snuggled up to a warm friend. If not, the back of the couch or even the dogs bed works. I am good with Cats and I have no experience around dogs By nature I am...Playful, Shy, Curious. May 16, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
We are moving in with my mother-in-law that has dementia and is physically unstable. Love is a great cat, but her blindness does create tripping hazards for us people. Love will greet you with her pigeon sounding purrs and snuggle up with you. Love is a blind cat, adopted that way due to an eye infection at birth. Her vision is not 100% gone, she sees as if looking through a shower curtain. Her sight has no effect on her day to day fun. She easily navigates her surroundings and loves her cat tree. Love gets along with other cats and small dogs , but really needs to be an only pet. Love prefers a clean litter box, and is declawed. This is a hard choice to make, so we are looking for a loving home.

Story
Two months ago my neighbor moved out and was planning on just leaving his cat outside. I felt bad for the cat and decided to take him in hopes I could find him a good home. I have not had any luck with friends/family. I wish I could keep him as him and my dog have become buddies however I am moving out of state the first week of July. Info I do know about him: His name is Freddie, he is about three years old and is neutered. He clearly loves dogs. I have watched two friends dogs(German shepherd and lab)and he was just as social with them as he is with my dog. He does seem to prefer dogs to humans but is friendly and occasionally will sleep on the bed with me. He uses the litter box and I am unsure if he was ever an outdoor cat, I suspect not. He has never sprayed nor scratched any of my furniture since he has been with me. He likes water on his terms, turns on bathroom faucet for fun but is a bit of a terror to bathe. He is calm when I clipped his claws. He does not have a microchip.

Story
We are looking to rehome our beautiful 5 year old, Camden. Camden is very loving and loves to cuddle, however, she does not get along with other animals and doesn't do well with young children. Camden would thrive in a home where she is the only pet and someone that can give her a lot of attention and cuddles. She loves to lay on my chest at night for awhile before going to bed. She is a great cat and we are sad to rehome her, but she doesn't like our other cat and young boys. We want her to have the love and attention that she deserves.

Story
Meet Twilight! This 3-year-old neutered male kitty is searching for a new home after he was returned to the rescue due to a medical condition. It was discovered he has environmental allergies and needed some allergy meds (much like a lot of humans!). He is now thriving in his foster home on allergy meds (Cyclavance 25mg). He does fine with other cats, but high energy dogs stress him out. He would do good in a home that is quiet and would enjoy the company of a kitty!  Twilight loves the companionship of humans after he settles in. He just adores being in the presence of his humans and will follow them from room to room. He can be shy meeting new people, but is loving and playful once he realizes you are good people!  Just because Twilight has allergies, doesn't mean he doesn't deserve an amazing home. For now he is on allergy meds, but it may not be forever, we just don't know yet! He responds well to his meds and takes it with his food. Hopefully he doesn't get overlooked over something he can't help! His adoption fee is $50 and includes his neuter, FIV/FELV testing (negative), microchip, vaccinations, deworming and 3 months of allergy meds.  Please fill out an application on our website so a meet and greet and home check can be arranged. May 16, 2024, 3:44 am

Story
Albert was a tiny little nugget when he was rescued out of a dumpster and taken to Altered Tails. Albert was placed into a foster home where he thrived around other cats, dogs, kids and even a pig. This sweet boy is now looking for his forever home. An active home is preferred so he can burn his energy. Albert needs to be an indoor only cat.  Albert will have age appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV testing, dewormer, microchip and neuter prior to his final adoption. His adoption fee is $150. May 16, 2024, 3:44 am
