Story
Thorn is an awesome cat. He is 4 years old and a bit of a loaf, but likes to play when someone waves a feather and stick in front of him! If he's relaxed he'll cuddle up on you and let you pet him while he drools a tiny bit. I've had him since he was a kitten and he's always been a bit of a nervous boy. He has always had a sister cat named Rose and they get along great, so he CAN be around another cat if it's not a dominating alpha. Unfortunately, I had a baby and our living situation has changed to where now Thorn is surrounded by 4 adults, 4 kids (ages 7 and under), 3 other cats and a dog. Additionally, one of the cats is an alpha that constantly hunts Thorn, exacerbating the situation. Thorn does NOT like this. He now stays in his tower a lot of the time, unless everyone is out of the house or asleep. Realistically, Thorn needs a nice home with no unpredictable toddlers, no dogs and no other alpha cats. He'd also be a WONDERFUL solo boy for someone needing a furry companion!

Story
Copper is about 5 years old, is a sweet kitty, he talks and loves back scratches. Loves to take naps in an empty cabinet. He is very shy, and likes to keep to himself if he has other pets around him but would be best suited in a home with no other pets. We acquired Copper from my father in law in hopes that he would get along with our cats in a less stressful household with less animals, but ours tend to bully him. We hope to find him a good home as that is what he needs.

Story
Ava is incredibly lovable and low maintenance. We adopted her from the Humane society in 2019 and she purred in the backseat the entire way home in my son’s lap. She purrs for everyone and loves to be cuddled. She trusts everyone and welcomes new visitors to our home lovingly. She loves to be carried around, cradled, like a baby. We love her and her sweet spirit very much, but her furry self is causing allergy issues. Her fellow house cat, Penny, is her BFF and they would love to be adopted together, if possible.

Story
Penny was adopted from the Humane Society in 2020 and has been such a sweetie. She wakes me up every morning with snuggles and loves her BFF, Ava (also needing to be rehomed). She loves to sunbathe on the back patio, but never wanders away from home. We love she and Ava, but are needing to rehome them due to allergy issues. She will be sent with litter box and cabinet and food.

Story
Due to a death in the family, I am trying to help rehome my mother-in-laws cats. These two gorgeous ladies are from the same litter, 7 years old, and already spayed. Gremmy, the tortise shell cat, is a sweet, shy and very calm individual. Callie, the calico, is a friendly, cuddly, people loving companion. Pettite at Less than 10 lbs. They have been strictly indoor kitties since the day they were rescued at just a week old. Both are litter box trained. Neither has ever been around dogs, but they are fine with other cats after being given an acclimating period. They can go together or separately.

Story
Description:  Thor and Yoda are a bonded pair who have been spending their time warming up to human touch.  They love being with their people, curious about them and what they are doing.  They are most comfortable at a distance, but love being talked to and petted just before they eat.  They have gotten used to snuggling beside their foster person and enjoying a peaceful snooze on the couch.  They enjoy sleeping in any soft place where there is a window to watch outside and soak  up sunlight. The wand toy is their favorite!  It makes them run and jump like crazy.  They will be happiest in a home with a family who has patience and will continue to socialize and nurture them as part of the family.  Good with Cats: Yes  Good with Dogs:  No.  Good with Children:  No Companion Animal: This pair is bonded and must be adopted together.   Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested, receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. Story
Pepita is patiently waiting for her furrever home. This sweet girl loves to watch the birds from her window. She perks up whenever she had a visitor. Pepita prefers to be an only cat. If you would like to meet Princess Pepita, she is currently waiting at our adoption center. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Story
We rescued Bret as a kitten almost three years ago after his mother abandoned her litter. He is friendly and affectionate in quiet moments, and has no history of aggression. He tends to be skittish and shy around new people and loud activity, but he loves to snuggle and relax with us when the atmosphere is calm. We love Bret very much, but we and our vet believe he would be happier as a single pet. We have 5 other cats and a dog, and over a year ago Bret began urinating/marking outside of the litter box. His vet has ruled out illness and has diagnosed this behavior as psychological and possibly territorial. We believe Bret would thrive in a household where he could be the only cat. He’s a sweet guy with a lot of love to give!
