Story
This girl is looking for a calm and quiet house-hold, where she can continue to gain her confidence. Due to this, we do not feel she would be a suitable candidate for a home with children or dogs. However, she is use to the comfort and company of other cats and would do well in a home with another confident cat friendly kitty who can teach her the way to cat-life! Andie shows a lot of interest in wand-toys. She loves to play! We will be sure to send you with her favorites! Andie quite enjoys watching you move about and shows a lot of curiosity - but is apprehensive to touch. With time, trust and lots of treats - it is possible for Andie to accept the odd scritch or scratch. Until then, Andie's potential adopter must have a good understanding of feline-thresholds and be okay leaving her alone when she is in her safe-hideys. If you are interested in bringing Andie home please out to the Abbotsford SPCA with any questions or fill out an online application! Story
Meeeoooloooow. My name is MISHOO (Mishul) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Tabby TigerAge: 2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 7-1/2 lbsHighlight(s): calm, nearly blind in one eye, cuddly, timid, sensitive, playful Want a big orange cuddlebug? Here I am. Don't you just love my big ol' bat ears?Found on the road side dying due to an accident in the Middle East, I was taken to the hospital. I recovered, though I lost & broke some front teeth and lost much of my vision in one eye.I can't see very well out of the one eye, but get around just fine. The vet said with some eyedrops it may help. My rescuer crushes my food for me, so I can eat better because of my lost front teeth. A couple loose ones may still be lost yet.I can be timid and get scared of loud noises. I get along fine with other cats, so long as they don't bully me. I have been bullied in the past, so prefer chilled out interactions. I tend to be afraid of dogs and will run under the bed away from them. I was so scared in the beginning and have really learned my name Mishul, so it would be good to keep that name. Trivia: my name in Persian means lovely and cute cat. Exactly what I am.I'd like a home with a patient family, who can see how lovely and kind I am. I infrequently meow. I'd do fine with another calm kitty or two to play with. A quieter household would suit me best. One that lacks dog best or at least a calm one who won't chase after me. Also, older more subdued children are probably ok, as I love to play with them.I'm sure once I get accustomed to my new home, I will be more relaxed. I do bond very well with my people. I like to sleep in my rescuer's arms at night and call her at the door if she doesn't take me to her room. So you see, I am a sensitive, loving guy. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: unknownCats: yesKids: unknown Fears: loud noises. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:House trained: Yes. Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home, as I am used to going in an earthen pot. Health notes: I am blind in one eye & may need some additional vet checks for it. I have some missing & broken teeth.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated. My adoption fee is $250.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. ##1725671##

Hi dear folks, I'm Phishi. Here's a bit about me:Breed: DSH catAge: 5 monthsGender: maleWeight: 2 kgHighlight(s): social, sweet, entertaining Fishy Phishi in the brook, are you here to take a look? I hope so, because you'll be hooked. My rescuer's friend found me when I was about 2 weeks old here in the Middle East. I have a problem with the nerves in my legs, which the doctor said may be congenital.I have no problems with walking and personal activities though. I just can't jump as high or run as fast as other cats. But... I have the sweetest little talking voice.Being a social kitty, I'm good with dogs and other cats. My best friend is Benn, a dog. We are inseparable buds and would like to be adopted together. Loved at Last is willing to do a big ol' twofer on us. For Benn's adoption fee, you get ME too. What a deal for hours of amusement, hunh?Just check out some of our videos, we're entertaining... and cute together too. So, if you have room for a couple little ones, you won't be disappointed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: I have a likely congenital nerve issue. It does not affect my health.I am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I am vaccinated and microchipped. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is included in the adoption fee for Benn. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Story
Elliott was super scared when he first arrived. The first month was hiding but he is a different cat now! He is not super cuddly but he likes to hang out where you are and will occasionally lay in your lap. Elliott is rarely vocal. If he is is letting you know he needs something...food usually! LOL He's a sweet boy and his favorite pass time is bug hunting! I'm sure he will regress a bit when adopted but with patience and love he will quickly get back to how he is now Elliott uses the litter box and is a good eater. We've really had no issues with him! $150 adoption fee. He is neutered, chipped, vaccines up to date and dewormed. We accept venmo, cash, checks, credit cards. Applications must be received before meets are set up. If you rent, please be ready to provide proof you are allowed to have a pet. We do not EVER ship dogs or cats. To apply please go to www.mainstreetmuttrescue.com and click on Adopt. If you click picture the application button should come up.

Story
Dash is a natural born killer! Looking for a mouser...you've found him! Since we started letting him outside because he kept finding ways out he has brought home all kinds of things. LOL Not always what I'm wanting but he seems pretty proficient at hunting. He's not a cuddly cat but he will lay next to you, loves to be petted and follow you around. Food bowl empty..he'll let you know! He can be vocal but its not constant..usually just when he's protesting or wants out. He's been great with my two small dogs, and my other adult cats. He loves to lay in front of windows and watch outside. Adoption is $150 (includes microchip, deworming, vaccines up to date, and neuter). We accept venmo, cash, checks, Credit cards Applications must be received before meets are set up. If you rent, please be ready to provide proof you are allowed to have a pet. Story
Allow us to reintroduce you to Olaf aka ChoCho, Choseph Cholafski, or Chogurt. His government name is Olaf but he responds to Cho. Let us tell you a little bit about this Cho. He is a 9 year old, indoor only, silky soft, sweet guy looking for a true forever home. You can tell by his flagrant display of side eye, he is real tired of your nonsense. He has had his heart broken a few too many times and he insists that his next home be in it for the long haul (can you blame the guy?). Cho has always been himself and been up-front about what he wants, and doesn’t want.  Wants:  -peace and quiet  -unyielding eternal devotion Does not want:  -change -disrespect to his bubble ChoCho has lived with other pets and begrudgingly tolerated them, but we have found he feels most validated when he has the attention of his staff all to himself and will excel as an only pet. Cho is the kind of cat who will choose one person in a pair and remain fiercely loyal to that one. He accepts attention from the other human, but does not like to dedicate too much of his energy on them. Do not mistake this for clinginess- Cho is also fiercely independent and while he does love affection, it is on his terms only. He seems to favor male humans with calm demeanors. Cho is selective about his toys, choosing to play only with his favorites but when he does, he really lets loose! ChoCho May come across as a staunch businessman, but behind his no-nonsense exterior, is a sweet boy looking for someone to finally reciprocate the devotion he gives to his chosen person. He does not like new situations and requires an experienced cat person who can be patient while he learns his new surroundings and learns to trust yet another new person. All AHS adoptions come with a standard 10-day trial period, however in Olaf's case we are willing to extend this trial period to 15 days, or potentially longer if needed.  All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Senior cats have an adoption fee of $100. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.  ##239094##
