Story
Meet Greg! Greg came to AFRP with his brothers Peter and Bobby (aka The Brady Bunch) from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. Born with eyelid agenesis, Greg and his brothers all had special eyelid reconstruction surgery, giving them a whole new perspective on life—literally. Greg’s start in life was a little rough—he couldn’t see well at first, which made the world a scary place—but don’t let that fool you. This sweet boy is gentle, loving, and full of quiet charm. Once he feels safe, he transforms into a laid-back superstar, often found sprawling on his back in a warm sunny spot like he owns the place. He’s basically a four-legged, purring sunbeam. Food? Absolutely a top priority. Greg will happily work for treats, savor every bite, and give you all the side-eye gratitude you could ask for. Toys? Yes, please. Greg enjoys gentle play with his favorite toys or mellow wrestling sessions with fellow feline friends. While he’s incredibly easygoing, he’s not the biggest fan of rambunctious animals—slow, careful introductions are a must. Greg would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can lounge, snack, and sunbathe in peace. He could be your one-and-only, or he could share his chill vibes with another mellow cat or a dog-savvy, gentle pup. No matter what, he brings a level of zen and subtle sass that’s impossible not to love. Greg is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!

Story
Meet Dylan! Dylan recently joined our crew due to over capacity at our local shelter! Dylan is that cat who thinks you are his entire reason for existence. Hear footsteps? He’s already doing parkour off the cat tree to get to you. Forget privacy because this handsome guy will follow you everywhere like a tiny, fuzzy bodyguard. He rubs on your legs, stands up to politely demand neck scritches, and purrs like a tiny lawnmower. Pick him up? Congratulations, you now own a limp, purring noodle. Dylan has a curled tail that looks like it’s always mid-pose, very high-fashion. He loves toys, especially squiggles and light-up balls, but mostly he likes eating kibble whenever you’re around. He’s a social snacker and he believes meals should be shared. He’s a fan of lickables, brushing, and staring at you with big beautiful eyes like he’s writing poetry about your face. Dylan is currently looking for a home with adult adopters or families with cat-savvy kids over the age of ten at this time. Dylan is not a fan of dogs, and it is currently unknown how he may do with other cats, but any introductions should be done slowly and over time. Dylan is funny, flirty, and very available. If you want a cat who acts like he’s the star of a sitcom and you’re his favorite support character, he’s your guy. Story
Meet Ziggy! Ziggy isn’t just any senior kitty, he’s a staff favorite, a handsome gentleman, and a 2011 AFRP alumni returning for round two of love and cuddles. Now looking for his next “bachelor pad,” this big, charming grump is searching for a calm, adult-only home where he can do life on his terms. Ziggy loves affection… in carefully measured doses. Petting? Yes, but don’t overdo it. Playtime? Only when he feels like it. Most of the day, he prefers napping, lounging on his cat tower, or quietly judging the world from his favorite window or catio. He’s a bird-watching pro and a toy-chase enthusiast—but mostly he’s an expert in chill vibes. Other pets? Meh. Ziggy prefers to be your one and only, though he might tolerate a mellow cat or dog if introductions are slow and respectful. His diet is specialized due to allergies, but that doesn’t slow him down, meal time is basically the highlight of his day, and he approaches it with the intensity of a tiny furry foodie. Ziggy is basically a mix of grumpy dad energy, high-class loaf vibes, and subtle sass. Adopt (or foster) him if you want a senior cat who will demand respect and reward your patience with endless charm… on his schedule. Ziggy is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!

Story
Meet Tony! This loving boy joined the AFRP family with his two brothers and their nursing mama! Now weaned, this trio is ready to find their furever home! Tony is the brave adventurer of the band...er, litter. The moment the door opens, he’s off like he’s launching into a world tour, tail high, voice loud, and curiosity turned up to eleven. He’s the kind of kitten who greets the day with a battle cry, ready to take on every room, shadow, and unsuspecting dog leg in the house. But after his morning mission, Tony circles back to his fans aka you. Whether it’s curling up in your lap or cuddling up beside you like the soft boy he is, Tony knows when it’s time to rock and when it’s time to rest. Tony would love to find a home with adult adopters with families who have cat-savvy children over the age of six. He would do just fine in a home with a cat-savvy pup and would love to go home with one (or both!) of his brothers or with another friendly kitty given proper introductions! Tony is currently at our adoptions location inside Pet Food Express at the Crossroads in Carmel. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online adoption application has been submitted and approved. Story
Meet This beautiful calico came to AFRP from Hitchcock Road Shelter where she turned up with newborn kittens at the age of only 6 months! Kali is a very young, super petite kitten who’s as sweet as she is playful. She’s social and loves attention, especially when it comes with snuggles and her favorite chirping bird toy. Known as the queen of biscuit making, Kali kneads nonstop, even while standing still, as if she’s marching in place, running her own little bakery of love. Her favorite past times include chasing balls, batting at ribbons, and pulling toys into boxes, but most of all, she just wants to be loved and doted on! She is easy to handle. She enjoys spending time with her people, helping them with their daily tasks and she loves being petted. She’ll even sit in your lap when she’s not too busy playing. She has not been around dogs yet, but she’d do best in a home where she can be the only cat. Kaliki has not met children yet, but she’d likely do fine with children over the age of 10. Kaliki is currently at our adoptions location inside Pet Food Express at the Crossroads in Carmel. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been received and approved.

Story
Meet Autumn! Autumn came back to AFRP after her previous human couldn’t care for her anymore, and now she’s searching for a home where she can rule as queen of her castle. This senior lady is shy at first, fiercely independent, and has a healthy dose of diva energy—she’s the kind of cat who will silently judge your life choices, but we love her all the more for it. Head-butts and gentle scritches are always welcome, but forced cuddles? Not on her watch. She does things on her schedule, thank you very much. Even in her golden years, Autumn has plenty of personality. She enjoys strategically napping in sunny spots, surveying her domain from a perch, and occasionally reminding you who really runs the household with a perfectly timed side-eye. She’s curious about her humans’ activities, but always from a safe, comfortable distance until she feels ready to interact. Dogs? Not her thing. Other cats? Hmmm, not really into it. Adult-only homes are strongly preferred so she can reign supreme without distraction. Autumn is happiest when she can do life at her own pace, but those who earn her trust will be rewarded with soft purrs, gentle head-butts, and the occasional, delightful little “grumpy” charm that only torties can pull off. Autumn is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff.
