Story
Jack is the sweetest boy ever. Hes 12 years old, and he loves to talk, cuddle, loves food and is really good with people. Hes unsure about dogs and with cats I am unsure about how he is with others. He had a sister a while ago but she has now passed on. I can no longer care for jack due to my busy schedule and how there are times where I find it hard to give my full attention to him due to this. He deserves such a good home where he is truly loved and cared for. Thats simply all I want for him.

Story
COURTESY POST: Toffee needs an experienced adopter. Read his shelter story below: Toffee is an 8-year-old black-and-white DSH who has perfected the art of being both sweet and spicy — sometimes within the same five minutes. This little spicy bean needs a cat-savvy hero. Now, let’s be honest. Toffee isn’t your average purring lap ornament. He’s got opinions. He chirps, he chats, he reaches out for affection... and sometimes throws in a few nails just to remind you who's boss. He’s not mean — he’s just selective. You know... like most cats, but with a stronger union contract. Think of him as the grumpy but charming neighbor in a sitcom — rough around the edges, but secretly the fan favorite. He doesn't compromise, but he does have a soft side. He just needs someone who can read the signs, respect the boundaries, know when to walk away... and definitely know when to run. If that someone, is you (or someone you know), please contact us. Thanks for considering Toffee. He may be particular, but he’s also unforgettable — and he deserves a home that appreciates his spicy flavor.

Story
MEET SONOMA! Sonoma was rescued from Devore Animal Shelter in November 2024 when he was just a month old, along with his mom, Fontana, and siblings Concord, Darlington, and Daytona. Too young to remember anything but love and safety, he grew up in a devoted foster home as part of the "NASCAR family," where he blossomed into a bright, affectionate, and playful kitten. Sonoma is a joyful little character with a heart full of affection and a flair for fun. He adores chin scratches, responds with enthusiastic purrs, and is always in the mood for a game--especially if it involves crinkle chutes, cardboard boxes, or his prized crunch balls. But his playfulness is matched by his incredible resilience. As a survivor of FIP, Sonoma once lost mobility in his hind legs, but thanks to an 84-day treatment protocol, he made a full recovery. Though he occasionally misses the litter box due to lingering nerve damage, he uses it when he senses the urge, and the mishaps are minor and manageable. His energy, mobility, and loving spirit remain undiminished, and he gets along wonderfully with people and other cats. Sonoma shares a deep, devoted bond with his brother Darlington--the two are constant companions, playmates, and nap buddies. While they'd love to stay together, Sonoma can also be adopted solo to a home ready to embrace his sweet quirks and boundless charm. If you're ready to welcome a spirited and snuggly survivor into your life, visit www.kittydevorerescue.org to apply to adopt Sonoma today! ** Please note: Sonoma currently resides in a foster home in San Marcos, CA (San Diego County). Once an adoption application is approved, meet-and-greets are held at the foster home. Approved adopters should be prepared to travel for the visit.

Story
Meet Daytona — your front-row seat to joy! Daytona came into rescue life early, along with her mom Fontana, and siblings Concord, Sonoma, and Darlington, after the NASCAR family was pulled from Devore Animal Shelter in November 2024. Just a month old at the time, Daytona has no memory of the shelter—only the safety, affection, and steady love she’s known ever since. Raised in a foster home with her family, she has blossomed into a confident, healthy, and irresistibly affectionate young cat. Daytona is pure kinetic happiness. A playful little dynamo, she’s always on the move—racing through crinkle chutes, wrestling with her siblings, and proudly parading her beloved crunch balls clenched in her mouth like hard-won trophies. Her energy is infectious, and her antics are guaranteed to make you laugh daily. But don’t let the zoomies fool you—Daytona has a wonderfully tender side. She greets people with an enthusiastic flop onto her back, paws splayed wide in an open invitation for love. She adores lap time, purrs like a tiny engine warming up, and genuinely craves connection. Human companionship lights her up just as much as feline play. Daytona shares a special bond with her sister Concord, who matches her playful spirit and affectionate nature step for step. The two are often found together and would be thrilled to continue life as a duo in their forever home. That said, Daytona can be adopted on her own if the right situation comes along. If you’re ready to welcome a little zoom, a lot of love, and a kitten who will make every day brighter, visit www.kittydevorerescue.org to apply to adopt Daytona today.

MEET DARLINGTON! Darlington was rescued from Devore Animal Shelter in November 2024, just a month old at the time, along with his mom, Fontana, and siblings Concord, Sonoma, and Daytona. Too young to remember the shelter, Darlington has only known the warmth and love of his foster home, where he and his "NASCAR family" have grown up safe, healthy, and cherished. Full of affection and playful charm, Darlington is a gentle soul who delights in chin scratches, lap snuggles, and cozy companionship. He's a proud crunch ball collector, often seen trotting around with one in his mouth, and finds joy in racing through crinkle chutes or tumbling in boxes. Darlington is also a true survivor--at just three months old, he lost mobility in both hind legs due to FIP. But after a successful 84-day treatment and a lot of love, he made an incredible and miraculous recovery. He regained full mobility again! Though he still walks with a slight wobble, it only adds to his sweetness and has earned him the nickname "Mr. Wobbles." His resilient spirit, soft purrs, and deep love for people and other cats make him a joy to be around. Darlington is especially bonded to his brother, Sonoma--their days filled with play, cuddles, and companionship. They would love to be adopted together, but Darlington is also available on his own to a loving home, ready to celebrate his unique spark. If you're ready to open your heart to this steady, unwavering, wobbling bundle of love and resilience, visit www.kittydevorerescue.org to apply to adopt Darlington today! ** Please note: Darlington currently resides in a foster home in San Marcos, CA (San Diego County). Once an adoption application is approved, meet-and-greets are held at the foster home. Approved adopters should be prepared to travel for the visit.

MEET CONCORD! Concord was rescued from Devore Animal Shelter in November 2024, along with her mom Fontana and siblings Daytona, Sonoma, and Darlington. Just a month old at the time, she was fortunate to leave the shelter behind early and grow up in the comfort and safety of a loving foster home. Raised with her family--fondly nicknamed the "Nascar family"--Concord has blossomed into a joyful, affectionate, and resilient kitten. Concord is a playful, loving girl with a big heart and an even bigger purr. She adores chin scratches, tummy rubs, and flopping over to show off her belly in hopes of some well-earned affection. While she's always up for racing through crinkle chutes or playing with her favorite toys, Concord is also a survivor--she bravely overcame FIP with the help of an 84-day treatment and made a full recovery. She carries a small cloud in one eye from her illness, but it doesn't affect her vision or slow her down in the least. Energetic, athletic, and endlessly curious, she climbs, explores, and plays with gusto. She gets along wonderfully with other cats and absolutely loves human attention, making her a well-rounded and delightful companion. Concord is especially close to her sister Daytona, and the two are often found cuddled up, playing together, or zooming through the house in tandem. While they would love to be adopted together, Concord is also available as a solo kitty to the right home ready to shower her with love and playtime. If you're ready to give this spirited sweetheart her forever home, visit www.kittydevorerescue.org to apply today! ** Please note: Concord currently resides in a foster home in San Marcos, CA (San Diego County). Once an adoption application is approved, meet-and-greets are held at the foster home. Approved adopters should be prepared to travel for the visit.

Story
Kyo is a sweet and outgoing 7 year old cat. He loves cuddles and being the center of attention. Champa is a loving but reserved 7 year old cat. He is loyal to the bone and just wants his pets. Champa does not enjoy being carried and will set his boundaries by bopping your hand. Both cats are neutered and have their vaccinations. They have never been socialized with dogs. Unfortunately I am not able to keep them due to restrictions in my apartment and my 1 year old having mild allergies. They have been my babies since they were born and it absolutely tears me to have to rehome them. I would prefer they stay together as they have never been apart but if I can find a loving home for each that’s okay too. I am willing to provide 2 cat litters and a big Costco bag of cat food.
