Story
Kay gave birth in a baseball dugout, because who needs a hospital when you've got a dugout, right? It was the only safe place she could find, and at 8 months old, she was basically a baby herself. What she didn't know was that the summer heat would be unbearable in the dugout, but luckily a Good Samaritan came to her rescue. Since then, her babies have been adopted. Mama Kay is getting some much-needed rest and enjoying living indoors, playing with toys and living her best life. Kay does well with other indoor cats but is still fearful of dogs. She may learn to enjoy the company of dogs with a very slow introduction but a cat only home might be the best option for her. Kay is a petite and a bit shy but loves to curl up in your lap once she gets to know you. She would love to join a family of her own. Can she stay with you? To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-1459 To follow Mama Kay on her journey to a loving family on SPOTs Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/

Story
How this pet arrived: Jellybean was brought in by a community member on January 5, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Jellybean is a cat with a PhD in Napping and a master's degree in Blanket Burrowing. Her hobbies include perfecting the art of hide-and-seek (spoiler: she always wins), curling up in her beloved hidey tent, and judging the world from a safe, elevated perch. She's looking for a quiet, peaceful kingdom where she can rule with a soft paw - no rambunctious dogs or tiny humans, please! Jellybean will need time, patience and an extended period of royal acclimation (translation: a comfy confinement space, plenty of snacks and the occasional whispered compliment). Win her heart with tasty treats, fun toys and a gentle approach, and you'll be rewarded with a steadfast and loyal companion. Jellybean does enjoy petting - especially chin rubs - from her favorite people and she will reward you with purrs and maybe a little drool! She isn't very demanding and loves her alone time for extended naps. If you're ready to offer Jellybean the cozy paradise she deserves, fill out the interest form above! At SDHS:Jellybean has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Shy/Fearful Cat: Jellybean requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about her. Primary Color: Black Weight: 12.56 Age: 14yrs 9mths 1wks

How this pet arrived:Fantastic Mr. Fox was brought in by a community member on September 2, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Fantastic Mr. Fox - part gentleman, part rascal and 100% the star of his own story. This dashing fellow is friendly, charming and always ready to make you feel like you've just met the most important cat in the world (because, of course, you have). He bonded quickly with his foster family and has shared his affectionate, cuddly and playful personality. He enjoys lap snuggles and will also entertain you with his agile moves and toy stalking. Now, let's be clear: Mr. Fox is a solo act. In his previous life, he was known to throw paws at the neighborhood cats, so he's looking for a home where he can be the one and only leading man. No sidekicks, no co-stars - just Fox, in all his glorious, whiskered splendor. He may need a little dental work down the road, but don't worry - he's still got plenty of bite when it comes to personality! Adopt him, and you'll have a Fantastic feline companion who's the perfect blend of relaxed and active. Don't forget to bring a secure cat carrier for a safe ride home! At SDHS:Fantastic Mr. Fox has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 10.6 Age: 5yrs 10mths 0wks

How this pet arrived: Sylvester was brought in by his previous owner on October 5, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Say Hello to Sylvester! Sylvester is the kind of guy who makes a first impression by taking his time - he's a bit shy around new faces and unfamiliar places. But stick with him, and you'll discover a cuddle champion who's all about those slow, cozy moments! His foster describes him as a sweet and easy to love boy who loves cuddles, catnip and pets. He has a gentle nature and adaptable personality and just wants to be loved and give love! Sylvester is working on shedding some extra pounds - this fellow is on a steady path to feeling his best, so he's looking for a home that supports his journey. If you have a catio or safe outdoor nook, that could be just the ticket to keep him curious and content. Sylvester prefers to be the star of the show, so a solo pet household is his dream setup. If you're ready to welcome a laid-back, big-hearted feline companion, Sylvester can't wait to meet you! At SDHS:Sylvester has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home! Primary Color: Red Tabby Weight: 20 Age: 10yrs 10mths 2wks

How this pet arrived: Pedi Paws and Jack were brought in by their previous owner on November 23rd, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Pedi Paws (#177433) and Jack (#177434), these two have stuck together from day one.. Pedi Paws isn't actually running a high-end feline nail salon-but with those dainty toes and careful steps, she does walk like she's on a tiny runway. Jack, meanwhile, isn't climbing beanstalks; his preferred adventure is claiming the warmest sunspot in the room. Both cats are sensitive to change, so they'll need a calm, consistent home where they can settle in at their own pace. Once they're comfortable, they're all about soft pets and lounging in their favorite spot as they casually begin taking over your home in the most endearing way. They've done well with a small, cat-savvy dog and do best with older respectful kids who understand that great cats sometimes need a moment before the curtain rises on their personalities. Pedi Paws will supervise household happenings with refined paw-fessionalism, while Jack contributes with his signature "cool guy" vibe. Together, they bring double the whiskers, double the character, and double the fun. When it's time to bring them home, please remember to pack two secure carriers-they're best friends, but they still prefer their own seats for the ride. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!Shy/Fearful Cat: Pedi Paws and Jack require a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.
