Story
Hey there Delilah, what's it like in Kitty City? Delilah was found locked in a closet in an abandoned rental. Thankfully she landed in good hands who took care of her and got her into the rescue. Despite the cruelty she experienced, Delilah is a very sweet girl who loves people and attention. She enjoys playing with toys, rubbing on your legs, getting pets (on her own terms, though, of course) and meowing for treats. She is a little under a year old. Delilah is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, defleaed, dewormed and fecal tested. Story
Stevie is an older adult cat who was rescued from euthanasia in July of 2024. She was confiscated from a hoarding situation with many other cats. Stevie LOVES people but pretends to be shy! Once she's comfortable with you, her purrs can be heard throughout the room and she even coos like a dove. She loves pets, butt scratches, and wet food. She just needs time to feel safe with you first. Stevie has an adhesion in one of her eyes likely from infection at one point, but she has been medically cleared and it doesn't affect her sight! Stevie's adoption fee is WAIVED! Send in an application to meet her at www.pepperspalscatrescue.org/adoptfoster

Story
Rory is a sweet soul who loves to chirp back when spoken to. She is very kind and loves to seek out attention from humans. She also loves to watch cat tv! She came with another cat (Jade) so is tolerable of other cats, but seems fairly indifferent towards them. She would mostly like be okay alone as well. Rory is front-paw declawed (not done by us at Pepper's Pals - we do not declaw). All of our cats are fully vetted before adoption. Come meet Rory! Story
Lord Mittens is the perfect senior cat. He's very vocal, including quite a meow-shout on occasion. His speed is slow to medium, but even at his age, he does get playful (likes cloth mice) and the zoomies and it's usually around 3am. Otherwise he sleeps most the day but does like to be in the same room as you. He likes to be brushed but his fur is thin so a soft wire or rubber brush are best. He loves the rubber brush. He's a great side cat - not really a lap cat but wants to be at your side nearby, if not touching you (see photos). At bedtime, he slept on his own the first month, but lately he goes to bed with his foster and lays next to his arm - again, not on - just touching. He's an alarm clock waking him up right around 6:15 every morning. Health issues/medicines - Mittens is diabetic and FIV+. He's on prescription diabetic food (both dry and wet). Lately he's not eating wet, so his foster is doing 2 packages of Hydration fluid with his dry - he loves it! 1 in morning, 1 at night. He's been receiving fortiflora daily and that seems to be helping his otherwise soft stool. For his diabetes, he's given a 0.2ml oral liquid Senvelgo once per day after breakfast. He's not a fan and consistently "foams" up after it but it's just a quick wipe up. He'll hold a grudge...for about 2 minutes. He drinks lots of water and again, for his convenience, his foster has water in the living room, media room and bedroom (3 spots around the house - over a day he'll drink at least 2 dry.) Litter Box - he's very good with using the litter box, but he sometimes doesn't tuck that butt all the way in and his foster has gone to using potty pads as a border around the box and yay, easy cleanup. His foster has a 2 bedroom apt with 1 litter box at both ends. He uses both regularly - mainly for urine as he drinks lots of water (due to diabetes) and goes a lot. He's great at using the pine pellet litter and hasn't tried clay litter yet. Mittens' FIV+ status does not mean he cannot be around other cats. He would only be able to give FIV to another cat via a hard bite, so he would need to be introduced slowly and properly to ensure no aggression. He has not shown signs of aggression toward other cats. He's an amazing old man who's so worthy of enjoying a wonderful life. Mittens has no adoption fee.

Story
I'm Mz. Hemi, and I can’t wait to meet you! I was recently found on the streets with matted fur and a sore mouth. After a fresh haircut and a visit to the dentist, I am ready to find my furever home. Despite losing most of my teeth, I still happily enjoy food in whatever form you give me – kibble, pate, or a delicious wet food and water smoothie. I am also a huge fan of catnip. Give me some, and I will drool for you! What I lack in teeth, I make up for with extra toes. Yes, I am a polydactyl cat! I have the cutest little mittens you will ever see. I occasionally like to use my mittens to make custom-ordered biscuits for you. You’ll know I’m warming up to you when I present you with my belly as I flip-flop around after receiving some primo pets. I love greeting you when you wake up in the morning or get home from work. When I want attention, I will let you know, whether it’s with my cute little meows or by following you around. I am an independent girlie, but I think it’s because I am still learning what it means to be an indoor cat. I am unfamiliar with the idea of snuggling, and I am just discovering the joy of playing with toys. I am learning how to interact and play with other feline friends, but I am unfamiliar with canine companions. I have been spayed, vaccinated, defleaed, dewormed, and fecal tested. They estimate that I am about 5-7 years old. I am also able to groom myself again, now that my sore mouth has healed, so hopefully no more weird haircuts again! ***Mz Hemi has Feline Leukemia Virus. FeLV weakens a cat's immune system and is eventually fatal. However, cats with this virus can still live long, happy lives and deserve just as much love!! FeLV+ cats face an overwhelming stigma and are often euthanized upon diagnosis. FeLV is contagious between cats, so Mz Hemi will need to be the only cat in the home, unless your other cats are also FeLV+. It is not contagious to dogs, humans or any other species. If interested in meeting Mz. Hemi, please send in an application at www.pepperspalscatrescue.org/adoptfoster. Her adoption fee is waived.***

Story
Scratchy showed up at sitting on the sidewalk by a duplex on the Near Eastside in May of 2025. She was immediately very affectionate to us and keeps coming back for play and care. She is currently in foster care but would love a forever home! Scratchy was given her name because she has a raspy or "scratchy" meow. She is very friendly, playful, and engaging. She’s younger at 2 years of age so she still goes kitten mode on occasion. Scratchy loves playing with paper wads and springs and will even ask for belly pets on occasion! Scratchy deserves a life indoors, as she is currently recovering from some type of incident where she ended up with a broken pelvic bone and bruised up. After her injury she favors one leg a bit more, but is more affectionate now than ever. Come meet Scratchy!
