Story
As the sun sets over the stray streets of Havre de Grace, a pair of cats roam the halls of their foster home together. Volney, the elder of the two, is a kindly old soul who has seen many things in his years. He was once someone's beloved pet, but that was a long time ago and a world away. He walks with a certain grace, a quiet dignity that speaks of a life lived with courage, determination, but also sorrow and loss. Beside him, a younger cat named Froggy scampers along, her eyes wide with wonder at the world around her. Volney and Froggy are bonded in a way that few understand. Volney has taken Froggy under his paw when she was just a scared, young cat, and has become a father figure to her. In turn, Froggy has come to rely on Volney for protection and comfort, feeling safe and secure when she's near him. While Volney can be affable, you'll have to earn his trust and affections. He's an old soul, wise to the ways of the world and familiar with how cruel humans can be. He's also very empathic and has an almost supernatural sense of someone's intentions; so if your heart's in the right place, he'll return your affections in kind. Froggy can be shy and take a little while to warm up to new people. She, too, has felt the pain of abandonment, so trust doesn't come easy with her. It may take a season or two, but once that trust is earned and she feels secure, she won't be so guarded. Security allows her to be comfortable, contentment soon follows... When she's happy and has her "Dad" nearby, she's a bundle of energy, chasing after toys and exploring her surroundings with abandon. She loves to curl up in cozy corners and observe the world around her. She's a quiet soul, but once she gets to know you, she's the most loyal companion you could ask for. She may not be the most outgoing cat, but she's got a lot of love to give, she just needs someone patient enough to let her come out of her shell. As long as she has her "Dad"; Volney around, and her new furever family, Froggy will shine! These two cats are inseparable, and it's clear to anyone who sees them that they are meant to be together. Volney is patient with Froggy, always ready to offer a paw or a comforting purr when she needs it. And Froggy, for her part, looks up to Volney with a mixture of admiration and affection, grateful for the love and guidance he provides. As a bonded pair, the transition to their furever family can be easier because they have each other for encouragement and support. If you're looking for a pair of cats who will bring joy and warmth to your home, look no further than Volney and Froggy. These two feline friends are a testament to the power of love and companionship, and are sure to bring a smile to your face every day. Contact us to come and meet them, and see for yourself why they are such a special pair.

Story
"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, schlemiel, schlimazel, Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!" Do you remember what indelible show that came from? Laverne & Shirley! A show about two plucky gals trying to make it in a difficult world; much like the two kitties that this story is about, Penny and Charlotte. The opening song for Laverne and Shirley is called, "Making Our Dreams Come True" and the lyrics describe attaining your dreams by taking chances, breaking rules, basically by any means possible. For Penny and Charlotte, who were born in a feral cat colony with virtually no chance of making it into a warm, loving home, this song could be a testament to how they managed to defy all the odds stacked against them to end up in foster care with Stray Streets; and to now, hopefully, end up in a furever home... "Nothings gonna turn us back now, Straight ahead and on the track now, We're gonna make our dreams come true!" While in foster care, Charlotte faced a life-threatening illness, but her foster mom worked tirelessly to nurse her back to health, and her best friend Penny rarely left her side during her whole recovery. Despite her illness, Charlotte is now a testament to the power of love and care. Now these two are hoping to make their dream come true of a furever home... "There is nothing we won't try, Never heard the word impossible, This time there's no stopping us, We're gonna make it!" Penny and Charlotte are much like the dynamic duo Laverne and Shirley! Penny, with her outgoing and friendly personality, is just like Laverne - always up for a good time. However, like Laverne, she can be shy and aloof at first. But once she gets to know you, she'll be your new best friend in no time! On the other hand, Charlotte was traumatized by her illness and lost an eye, which has made her a bit more reserved. Like Shirley from the show, Charlotte takes a little more time to warm up; but once she does, she'll be your faithful companion for life. Also like Shirley, she is a talker, and will call for you to make her breakfast, lol! Similar to the show's protagonists, these two cats have a special bond and rely on each other for comfort and support. They complement each other perfectly and bring out the best in each other. These two strongly bonded cats are a perfect match and are looking for a furever home where they can continue their friendship. They would make a great addition to any home where they can receive love and affection with a family who is patient, loving, and willing to give them time to settle in. As they have a strong bond, it is preferable that they be adopted together. If you're looking for a pair of lovable cats who bring laughter, joy, and a whole lotta love to your life, then Penny and Charlotte are the perfect pair for you! Contact Stray Streets to meet them and start the adoption process. "On your mark, get set, and go now, Got a dream and we just know now, We're gonna make that dream come true, And we'll do it our way yes our way, Make all our dreams come true... For me and youuuuu!!!"
