As the sun sets over the stray streets of Havre de Grace, a pair of cats roam the halls of their foster home together. Volney, the elder of the two, is a kindly old soul who has seen many things in his years. He was once someone's beloved pet, but that was a long time ago and a world away. SWEET MELONY NEEDS A FOSTER! She's an older cat who was left behind with a younger cat (her daughter?) Harmony, when her people were evicted from their home. They still come back most days to feed them & one of our volunteers stops by each day to play with them & make certain they have food & shelter. But they keep asking to be let back inside the only home they've ever known, not realizing it's owned by a bank now. When we last spoke to their family they were hoping we had a long-term foster for them as they really don't want to give the girls up, but, they are currently homeless themselves. Melony is affectionate, gets along well with other cats. She will be vetted before being placed with a foster. SSTNR can cover food, flea treatments & any necessary medications or vet visits four our fosters.

Update 11.13: Still available. ADOPTABLES! Melody & Harmony are ready for their new forever home! These two PLAYFUL, SASSY jeweled torties are likely related. We aren't certain but Melody MAY be Harmony's mom. Both girls were raised together, but their dad died and the rest of the family left them behind when the bank foreclosed on the property. They did come back to feed them until we took over for them. These girls LOVE string toys. Harmony you may remember from last Nov. as the kitten who got herself stuck high in a tree & we needed to call for help from tree trimmers to get her down for her dad. Both girls are spayed, updated on vaccinations today, combo tested, microchipped and ready for their next adventure!

Lil Bit (also known as Bitty) is a super sweet and lovey 8 month old kitten. She loves to snuggle up with you and cuddle, being especially fond of belly rubs! She is also super energetic and is always ready to play with you. We originally adpoted Lil Bit from a cat cafe in Cincinnati, OH. Because of this she has no problem being around people, children, and other cats, making her a perfect addition to your family! Lil Bit is excited to meet you and is dying to melt into your arms!

*Indoor only* Bear is a handsome young man who is initially shy, but loves to be pet. When he knows he's safe, he will curl up in a ball next to you and get all the love you're willing to give. He will dart away if he sees someone coming at him quickly, but when he realizes it's someone he loves, he'll trot around the house as if he owns the place, and then will come for some affection. *Indoor only* Luna is a people lover. She is affectionate with humans on her own terms, but would prefer to be the only pet in the household. This beauty is quite the stuffed potato and would benefit from losing some weight. She LOVES food, so she needs someone who will help her eat healthy. She can be shy initially but will then come for attention and affection, and loves head/ear "scritches." Other notes from her foster mama: "She's very good, definitely a love biter. She will come for scratches, lick your hand and then gently nip. I think she is showing affection in her own way-- It's almost like she can't stop herself. She likes to play with string toys and loves her cardboard scratcher. She follows me, so I walk around the basement to get her to exercise! She loves her food!! She will sit on the back of the sofa when we watch tv, and likes bird videos on YouTube. She's quiet and always uses her litter pan. She lets me pick her up and hold her."
