Story
ABOUT PRINCESS! Meet Princess, our sassy tabby girl! This pretty lady was brought in to HAP as a stray, so we don't know much about her past. What we do know is that she lives up to her name! Princess is very much a princess! She demands to live a life of luxury, and who are we to give her any less? She loves yummy treats, cozy beds warmed by sunshine, and all the catnip her little paws can get a hold of! She enjoys being around people, but mostly just so they'll coo over how beautiful she is! Her love language is definitely NOT physical touch, and she holds that boundary very firm. *Princess hates other cats, so she much be the only one in a home. She warmed up to a dog in her foster home, but it took a while and much groveling on the dog's end. We don't recommend children. **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT BROTHER AND SISSY! Meet Brother and Sissy, our shy duo! These sweeties had been living in a outdoor cat colony, which one of our amazing fosters had been caring for. When our foster was leaving the area, she couldn't bear to leave their fates to chance, so she brought them to HAP! This has been a pretty big adjustment for the two and they are scared of most things, but they've started to get used to the pampered indoor life! Brother is the more people friendly of the two. With a little TLC, he opens right up, ready to get some love! Sissy is more standoffish, but just as lovable. She enjoys watching more than she does interacting, but she's not opposed to a people watching buddy! *Brother and Sissy get along with other cats, but we don't recommend dogs or children, as they are very shy. **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! ABOUT CHRISTMAS CHILI AND MISS KRAMPUS! Meet Christmas Chili and Miss Krampus, our pretty mamas! These two came to HAP at separate times, both strays with kittens in tow and both upset at being caged. After a few months of medication and socialization and not much progress, we decided to put the two ladies in a room together, as a last ditch effort. They immediately took to each other and have been inseperatable ever since! Now with each others support and comfort, they two have started to enjoy human attention a little more! Christmas Chili is the more outgoing of the two, she enjoys chirping and booping her human friends, once she gets used to them! Miss Krampus is more on the shy side, though she does enjoy playing with her human friends, as long as they keep their distance! *Christmas Chili and Miss Krampus both adore other cats! We don't recommend they go to a home with dogs or children.

Story
Calling all of our CH kitty lovers!!!! Meet our beautiful girl Tipsy! She came to our rescue from a county shelter in rough shape. She was completely bald from mange and very neurologic and unable to get around. Over the last few months we have been nursing her back to health. She now has a full coat of hair and her neurologic status has improved significantly, but we believe that she has cerebellar hypoplasia so she will also be special needs. Cerebellar Hypoplasia comes in a variety of degrees from mild tremors and a drunken gait to significant limitations where cats are unable to walk or stand and complete normal tasks. Tipsy is somewhere in the middle. While she cannot walk very well, she can stand and she gets around very well by scooting herself from place to place. She does have some mild head tremors that do become more significant when she is excited. Due to her mobility limitation, Tipsy cannot get in and out of a litter box so she is pee pad trained. She knows to go over to her pee pads very reliably. Tipsy absolutely LOVES to be held. She starts purring instantly and would love to spend her day in your arms. Tipsy will thrive in a home that can understand her physical limitations, but is looking for an incredibly sweet and loving cat. She stills plays like a kitten and wants to be loved! We believe Tipsy will do very well in a playpen or gated area when she is left alone so she can easily find her pee pads, food, and bed so she would be a perfect apartment kitty! She can certainly go to a home with other cats, but if there are dogs in the home, they will need to be laid back and very cat savvy since she will not be able to run and get away from a rambunctious dog. If you would like to read more about cerebellar hypoplasia, here is a link to more information. https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4952907 Tipsy is so deserving and we know her purrfect home is out there for her! If you are interested in adopting Tipsy or another one of our animals, please submit the application below and submit the $5 application fee. Please also take the time to review our adoption requirements including our vaccine and preventative requirements for existing pets in the home. Story
The littlest mamma I've ever seen, but her heart is HUGE. Marge loves to just LOVE - Her three kittens, her foster humans, and every other cat she could snuggle up to - she wants to love them all. As a result of her need to share the love, she is incredibly social and would do very well in a house with two or more cats, or a single cat that will accept her attention and need to love on them. Nuzzles, purrs, rubs, she wants to share it all with her foster kitty siblings but she is very respectful. She approaches with submission and caution until she is welcomed by another cat, then let the purrs and love FLOW. Marge loves to talk in her foster home when she is not curled up in the sun or in a cat bed enjoying a leisurely cat nap/snooze. While Marge doesn't do a ton of climbing or jumping, she does have quite a bit of energy to burn and loves to have places to roam and investigate. Some open space in a room and a few furry mice and she'll burn it all off before coming to nap. Come meet this tiny orange mamma and feel the love! If you are interested in adopting Marge or another one of our animals, please submit the application below and submit the $5 application fee. Story
Bruno may not be the most handsome guy but he is the sweetest guy! He looks a little beat up because he's been living on the streets poor guy, but he is so happy to be inside now and he is so lovable and gentle. We got him when we were helping someone spay and neuter a bunch of cats they were feeding. He had a wound on him, so we kept him inside to treat it and found how lovable he was and appreciative he was to be inside, so we kept him with the hopes of finding him a new permanent home. He has now been neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated, and tested negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. Give him a little more time inside where he could be properly taken care of and he will be as handsome as he is sweet!

I found him outside around Halloween, I’m not to sure about his age but he is an older kitten. He is quite playful and loving, always purring and wanting affection. Im looking for a home that can give him the attention he craves and can properly stimulate him with play! He follows people around, is talkative, loves food, loves to be picked up. So playful

Story
Sebastian and Penny are the perfect fur babies. Sebastian is kind, sweet, caring and athletic. Penny is kind & has a huge appetite. These two babies have been together since 2021 and I would love it if someone were able to take them both on although I'm open to conversations about separation. I live in Newark, DE and am willing to make my way out to the following states to rehouse my babies (although I'll still hear you out if further out) - DE, MD, VA, PA, NJ, NY, CT. My schedule has changed a lot since I first owned these two. I got them during COVID when I a lot of us were inside, and life has changed a lot since June of 2020 when I first got Sebastian (Penny would come around in September of 2021). Feel free to text me (xxx) xxx-xxxx ) if any questions & also feel free to email me - xxxx@xxxx.x . Thank you so much.
