Story
Ms. Cookie, is a 3.5 year old domestic cat. She comes from a loving home that was my grandmother. Unfortunately my grandmother has passed away and I attempted to take in this beautiful young lady. My grandmother took very good care of her two cats, as they were her life. Unfortunately cookie, doesn’t get along with my other two cats. She only is allowed canned, pâté wet food as she has no teeth. She’s liter trained, likes attention, and head rubs, but not to be picked up, or handled aggressively. She would be ideal for an elderly/retired couple or single home. No other cats are preferred Someone who just wants one cat and done. Dogs are negotiable

Story
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Maisy is looking for her forever home and family to call her own. Maisy is a very sweet kitty cat and a loyal companion. She is very quiet and doesnt make a fuss. She will gently nudge your hand for pets and will enjoy sitting next to you. She doesn't demand a lot, she just wants a warm bed to sleep in, and a loving hand to pet her. She allows you to pick her up and is easily handled. If you pet her she will reward you with love and purrs. Maisy is a playful gal and really likes to play with her toys, especially the catnip mice. She also enjoys taking naps atop her cat tree like the queen that she is. Maisy is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccines. She is FeLV and FIV negative. She has been dewormed and microchipped. All vet paperwork will be provided upon adoption. Maisy does not enjoy the company of other cats. If you think you can provide her a loving forever home where she can be the one and only Queen bee, please fill out an adoption application. I look forward to hearing from you.

Story
*Indoor only* Kiki is a playful and affectionate cat with a bit of a diva side in search of a loving home. Kiki is the perfect cuddle companion, ready to be petted, snuggle in your lap, and showered with affection and treats. Although she is prissy with new people at first, as she trusts you she will become your best friend. She also loves a good play session with wand toys or the laser. Kiki does not like to be picked up. She is weary of strangers and might swat or hiss but that behavior will go away quickly as she settles in. She would do best in a home with no small children. Kiki does not get along with other cats. She was surrendered after struggling to adjust to life in a nursing home, but in the right environment, she’s sure to thrive. She has been living in a quiet foster home and spends her time in her foster mom's lap where possible, playing with her favorite toys, and watching birds outside. Adoption fee of $100 includes spay/neuter, FIV and FELV combo test, up-to-date rabies and dis-temper vaccinations, deworming treatments, flea treatments, and microchip. If you are interested in adopting, please visit shadowcatstnr.org/adopt to complete an application.

Story
*Indoor only* Baby Girl came to us as a rescue from a house fire. While her life has had a lot of changes, she remains curious about her surroundings and those around her. Her foster mama says she came right out of her carrier and started exploring her new surroundings. She loves wand toys, or any toy where she can explore with a little space between you and her. As long as she’s in control, she loves to share space and keep you company. Baby Girl is ready for a second chance at finding her “normal”. She is a simple girl who enjoys lounging in sunbeams and rolling around on the floor. Adoption fee of $100 includes spay/neuter, FIV and FELV combo test, up-to-date rabies and dis-temper vaccinations, deworming treatments, flea treatments, and microchip. Story
*Indoor only* Grady is a beautiful all-white kitty who has repeatedly been let down by humans. He was sadly left behind when his family moved. He proved elusive and struggled to survive outside for awhile. A nice neighbor managed to bring him inside and brought him to the vet where it showed he had been injured - possibly hit by a car. He is better now with a slight limp. It doesn't stop him from jumping for wand toys or going up his favorite cat tree. He even likes to sprint around and explore! He is a sweet boy, but having to survive outside, he grew to be cautious. He flourished in foster but he will indicate when he needs some space with a little sound, or he'll trot off to a safe space, but most of the time he just wants company - and someone who won't overfeed him. When in new surroundings, he may emit a sound like a low growl, especially when it comes to food. This is just a left-over instinct from living outside and once he is comfortable, he stops (a few days). This sweet boy will run to greet you and loves to be pet. He has a very soft, sweet purr. He's also super playful. You have to meet him! Adoption includes spay/neuter, FIV and FELV combo tests, up-to-date rabies and distemper vaccinations, deworming, flea treatments, and microchip.
