Story
Morgan has been spending her time in foster care with her mom and siblings, but now it's time to move on. There are new adventures ahead and a whole new world to explore. In her foster home, she got to see the foster's cats through a gate and wanted to play with them, so this kitty would do well with a feline friend. A sibling would be great and you could double your fun! Morgan's foster says she is very sweet and loves to play with her siblings. This petite little gal is very curious and loves pets! Dakin has put together our top tips to help your kitten settle into their new home. Please take a look at the video above, with the photos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1S8y8G-Cgc If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All kitten adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age) -current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.

Meet Skye: Your Very Own Gravity Blanket (check out her video!) https://youtu.be/F1p-_pd-3Aw?si=SlPRHlG3s8YKHQAY Skye is a beauty who brings comfort and warmth to those lucky enough to know her. In her previous home, she was a friendly and affectionate companion, often cuddling on the couch or bed with her family. She even enjoyed kisses from the teenager in the household. Skye loves gentle pets under her chin, and she simply can't get enough petting or brushing. She's a sweet and loving cat who adores being close to her humans. Skye enjoys her quiet moments in cozy spots like the basement, balancing her affectionate nature with a bit of "me time." She's the best of both worlds: a social and loving cat who won't be in your face all the time but will be there to provide warmth and comfort when you need it most. Skye hasn't lived with other cats, but she has coexisted peacefully with a small dog. She tends to vanish quickly if visitors come by and is not fond of young children, often running away from them. Skye is currently learning clicker training in foster care so isn't available for visits at the shelter. If you're interested in learning more about this sweet and affectionate feline, click "Adopt Me" to find out how you can make Skye a part of your family. https://youtube.com/shorts/mfNuZ_yAOLY?si=8UYoZhlk9gqEoZbJ

Story
Peanut has been in foster care with her buddy Reagan. Now it's time for them to take the next big step in their journey: adoption! Peanut came to Dakin as an orphan who was found trapped in a barrel. Luckily the person who found her brought her to Dakin and the momma cat in foster took care of her like her own. Peanut's foster says that she was great with the children in the family. She is a little timid, but likes to just lay on her. If you're thinking about adopting multiple kitties, consider Reagan and double your fun! Dakin has put together our top tips to help your kitten settle into their new home.
