Story
Meet Maeve, a sweet and resilient kitty on the lookout for a loving home! Diagnosed with liver disease in January, Maeve was initially given a short time to live. Yet, here she is, thriving well beyond expectations! Thanks to her special prescription food and medication, Maeve's liver has significantly improved, and she's enjoying a stable quality of life. Maeve is a gentle, wise companion who delights in being close to her people. She adores belly rubs and shows her affection with gentle baths from her tongue. Maeve enjoys short bursts of playtime with string toys, usually just 5-10 minutes a day, but is equally happy to relax by your side while you go about your day. She’s quite vocal when she wants food, playtime, or just to let you know she’s claiming her favorite spot. With the right introduction, Maeve might also do well with another cat. If you have room in your heart for a special needs kitty who is truly a medical miracle, Maeve could be the perfect addition to your family. Story
You'll never find a cat as sweet and affectionate as Jessie! At 13 years old, this gentle senior's favorite hobbies are napping on your lap and eating snacks, and while he still enjoys a fair bit of playtime, he's more mellow than active these days. Jessie adores the company of his people, and he'll always want to be by your side. He also gets along very well with other cats! Jessie takes medication to help manage his heart disease--currently only aspirin twice a week, but there are many other options available and our adoption counselors will be happy to help you explore them. To schedule a meet and greet, please fill out our brief online prescreen here: https://bit.ly/3yRGpMD.

Story
If you're looking for a cat who wears his heart on his sleeve (or, well, his paw), Phil is your guy. This wonderful man is aggressively affectionate — and we mean that in the best way possible! Phil absolutely lives for attention: he will rub up against you, head-butt you, and happily march all over your chest to make sure you know just how much he loves you. Phil believes he must be in The Room Where It Happens. If he finds himself in a different room from you, he will absolutely let you know with a series of adorable meeps and some raspy, meows that sound like he’s been chatting at a smoky jazz club all night. Phil is a very talkative and social guy once he’s comfortable, but he can be a little wary when meeting new people. Don't worry — with a little patience and a lot of love, he warms up within a few hours or days and turns into the cuddly, purring shadow you never knew you needed. Phil is also FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don't let that scare you! FIV can’t be transmitted to humans or other species, and many FIV+ cats live long, healthy, happy lives. It just means Phil will need regular vet care (like any cat!) and a little extra attention to any signs of illness, since FIV can make him more vulnerable to infections. With a good home and good care, Phil’s future looks just as bright as any other cat’s. If you’re ready for a loving, loyal, slightly dramatic best friend who will happily meow, purr, and nuzzle his way into your heart — Phil is waiting for you. Story
Charlie is a sweet and quiet 6 year old girl looking for a forever home with people who will match her chill vibe. Not a big fan of change, it may take Charlie a few days to fully settle into her new home, but once she does she is confident and affectionate. Charlie has been peacefully coexisting with other cats in foster, but she'd be equally content to be a solo cat. We do not expect that she would enjoy to share her space with a dog or young children. To meet Charlie at her foster home in Winthrop, please fill out our quick pre-screen: https://bit.ly/3yRGpMD

Story
This handsome girl is one of the nicest cats you'll ever meet. She not only loves her people, but is social with visitors as well. She was surrendered by her owner after she let her outside and she got hit by a car, and she could no longer afford her care. While Fanny is 8 years old, don't be fooled - she acts half her age. During the day she plays with her toys, but spends most of the day looking out the window and watching all the critters run around, but from the safety of her cat tree. At night she enjoys sitting with her person on the sofa watching TV or being gently brushed. Watch your hands - she loves to give lots of those sandpaper tongue kisses! She is showing signs of early kidney disease, but it's easily managed by feeding her a high quality canned food-only diet. In her original home she did live with a number of cats but she was not happy, and wasn't big on interacting with them. She would spend her time with her human and loved sleeping on the bed next to her. Fanny is fully vetted and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225 and she is being fostered in Worcester. If you are interested in adopting Fanny, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://bit.ly/3yRGpMD

Story
Pinky is a total sweetheart! He might be a little shy for a minute in a new home but then he graciously accepts love and pets like a true gentleman. And once mealtime hits? He will devour his wet food like it was his full-time job. Pinky is on daily heart meds and happily takes his medication mixed into his wet food. His soft meow is rarely heard and always gentle—no chance of a noise complaint with this polite little guy. Pinky enjoys playing with toys and can engage with other cats if they are easy going, but would probably be best as a solo cat. Pinky has been diagnosed with early-stage heart disease, including an enlarged heart and a small valve leak. While it might sound scary, he is currently doing well and feeling good. His condition isn’t curable, but with daily medication and regular veterinary care, cats like Pinky can live happy, comfortable lives for many years. He is not in heart failure and still has lots of love—and wet food enthusiasm—to share. If you're looking for a sweet, loving kitty, Pinky if for you. Pinky is being fostered in Medford, MA.To learn more or schedule a meet-and-greet, please fill out a quick pre-screen by copying and pasting this link into your browser: https://bit.ly/3yRGpMD
