You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Apply for cats at www.carmah.org All cats are first come first serve; sorry, we cannot reserve cats.  I'm Comet, a big boy who turns to mush when I'm petted. I'll play a little but mostly I like to explore. I love my best friend Daisy and want to be adopted with her! I do not like other cats and probably detest dogs, so Daisy and I would need to be your only pets. I'm fine with children, even small ones, as long as they are respectful.  I am 2 years old and very healthy. Need a delightful celestial being (plus a sweet flower) in your life? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Kittens under six months must have a cat buddy. Adoption fees are $325 for kittens under a year, $600 per pair $250 for cats 1-11 years, $175 for cats 12+ years   CaRMaH is an all volunteer, no-kill cat rescue group serving the Marlborough/Hudson MA area and beyond. Apply for cats at www.carmah.org All cats are first come first serve; sorry, we cannot reserve cats.  I'm Cookie, a delightful girl kitty. During the day, I am quiet and either rest or enjoy watching the world go by. By night I am a purrrfect delight. I will head butt you and roll around to ask you to pet me. It only takes a few ear or cheek scratches to rev up my purr motor. When I am done, I will give you the gentlest of pats to let you know. And I am playful! I love wand toys.  I'd be best as an only cat, with older respectful children or adults only, please.  I am 1 year old and in great health. Looking for a sweet evening treat? That would be me, Cookie!! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Kittens under six months must have a cat buddy. One of my very favorite things is lickable treats and I even love to lick them off your finger! I am a reserved girl who is still finding out how great humans are. When you pick me up, I will allow pats for a while. I will need time to adjust to my new home, just like any other kitty.  Do you have room in your heart to give me the time I need to adjust to loving you? Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mouse (tuxedo) is a 7-year-old girl that came to MWHS as a stray, and Howard (brown tabby) is a 12-year-old boy that was trapped. They came to the shelter several years apart, but found comfort in each other and became very bonded. Their behavior is pretty similar, they are very shy but will allow petting and attention if you take your time and be patient with them. Mouse is a chubby girl that loves her food. When you meet her she will hiss, but she is just a little drama queen that hisses to communicate for everything. The funniest thing is when you give her food and she meows and hisses because she can't wait to be fed. She doesn't play very much and she is more of a lazy girl, but she loves snuggles and sharing a food bowl with her boyfriend, Howard. Howard also loves to pass time with Mouse and likes to cuddle with her. Howard loves to look out the window and loves food as well. If he is not comfortable, he freezes and turns into a statue, but if you go slow he loves brushing and being pet. Mouse & Howard are like two soulmates that want to stay together and continue to share beds and bowls in a lovely and peaceful home. They will need to go with a family that has experience with shy cats, and doesn't have any dogs or children. These sweet cats have been at the shelter for several years, so they will take time to adjust to their new environment, but they can't wait to start the next chapter of their life with their own family. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Mouse & Howard, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Mouse & Howard.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Clyde (1.5 year-old male, black and white) and Seamus (2 year-old male, buff) were brought to MWHS by a local Animal Control officer. Both were undersocialized as they were living with a lot of cats and didn't get to spend enough time with humans to understand how to interact with them. Little by little, they have learned to trust people. As cats, they do understand that the people provide delicious food (we have to admit that the boys put on some weight since they came to the shelter...oops!). Now they both appreciate petting and let you know they are happy. Seamus especially will bow his back under gentle petting, and he will tell you that he loves it even more when he can get a few treats, too! Clyde likes to be petted on the right spot at the right time, but as he gets to know you he will let you pet him more and more. Clyde is very playful and will jump to catch toys and carry them around in his mouth! Seamus is more food-motivated and likely to greet you for some food. He is curious and likes to watch you try to play with him as he is a lazy player. Clyde understands that he needs to move around so he doesn't have to go on a diet, while Seamus plays the cuteness card. They don't necessarily cuddle together to sleep, but are good companions for each other and love to share beds and cat trees. As these two handsome boys are shy and can be nervous at first, they are looking for a special family that will understand their needs, give them time to adjust to their new home, and be patient while earning their trust. A quiet home without children will be best for them. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Clyde & Seamus, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Clyde & Seamus.

Story
Cola (female) and Patch (male) are a 1-year-old bonded pair of kitties that were left in a carrier at a farm. Both were fearful of humans at first and learned little by little that people aren't so bad and they deliver the food. Cola is still shy but loves her cat friends, especially her brother Patch. She enjoys great playing sessions with them. She has slowly started to trust humans, especially when it involves food and treats. Cola also likes playtime with people and loves wand toys and laser pointers! Patch is a very funny guy. He learned how fun it is to play with humans and gets more and more into it as time goes on. He also likes to play tag with you and is good at not using his claws as he plays - just his way to get attention and convince you to give him some treats. He is always first in line for treats and will reward you by letting you pet him when he gets them. These two buddies love each other and will need to be adopted together. They are looking for a special family that will understand their needs, give them time to adjust to their new home, and be patient while earning their trust. A quiet home without children will be best for them. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Cola & Patch, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). Story
Sid is a handsome 2.5-year-old stray who was found at a local farm. He is a playful, attentive, affectionate, and loving kitty. When Sid went into foster, he quickly made himself at home within two days, and he loves to be wherever his foster mom is. Whenever she's reading or watching TV he joins her, either napping on the sofa or sitting on her lap getting a head and body massage. Sid likes to know where she is and is very happy following her around. He also enjoys being groomed. Sid loves to play, whether chasing a small ball or toy around the house, or running up and down the stairs. He is also a sports fan - he likes to watch hockey, golf, and figure skating on TV. Sid is FIV-positive, has a sensitive tummy and is currently on prescription food, but overall is very healthy. He needs to be the only pet in his home and will make someone a wonderful companion. He is a boy who loves his human! Cats who test positive for FIV can lead a long and healthy life without medication. Our adoption counselors have a lot of information on FIV and can assure you that he has many good years ahead. As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Sid, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Sid.
