Story
Honeybee is a very sweet girl who was rescued from living on the street by a Good Samaritan. She is dog friendly and likes to play, and very used to being around large dogs. She is FIV+. FIV is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds and mating (she is now spayed). She currently has no health issues relating to this diagnosis. She is approximately 2 years old and has a $100 adoption fee -- her adoption fee is partially sponsored, and is now just $50. All cats adopted through our rescue are vaccinated, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins. Transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Wynona is a sweet but shy girl -- in foster care she has been found to be friendly and enjoys pets, though just a little shy at first. She has a French manicure on her front toes with her white tips -- such a pretty girl! She gets along well with others and just minds her own business with other cats. She is estimated to be around 2 years old and has a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Daisy is a very sweet girl who enjoys a good lap with the best of them -- she seeks out attention, loves to be near people and her purr never stops. She is about 6 months old, and will likely be on the petite side as an old, the perpetual kitten. She is quick to curl up in a lap for a quick nap! She has done well with other cats, and proper acclimation is always suggested for best long-term results. Daisy has a $125 adoption fee and is fully vetted. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Gunny was an owner surrender through no fault of his own. Gunny is a heartwarmingly shy tripod cat with a gentle soul and a curious spirit. He is shy, but he will warm up when given the chance to relax and get comfortable! He is a tripod cat, he is missing a back leg from an injury when he was a baby that resulted in an amputation. He needs a quiet home and safe space to call his own. With a coat as soft as down and eyes like golden autumn leaves, Gunny carries the warmth of the sun in his fur and the quietude of dawn in his demeanor. Though he may first appear reserved, those patient enough to earn his trust are rewarded with the tender headbutts and soft purrs that are the hallmark of his affection. Gunny spends his days exploring the nooks and crannies of his home, from the cool shade under the porch to the warm patches of sunlight that dance across the living room floor. He has a particular fondness for watching birds from the window, mesmerized by their flights and chirps, always content to observe and never disturb. Despite his shyness, Gunny possesses a curious courage, often surprising his human companions by venturing a little further into the unknown or bravely inspecting new guests from a safe distance. At heart, he's an adventurer who maps the contours of his comfort zone, then gently, gradually expands them. By night, Gunny transforms into a silent guardian, curling up at the foot of the bed, offering silent company and warmth. He's not just a pet; he's a gentle soul who enriches the lives of those around him with his quiet love and subtle companionship. In Gunny's world, every day is an opportunity to quietly marvel at the beauty of life, making him a beloved figure in his home, a silent, soothing presence that speaks volumes of the joy of simply being. Gunny is almost 3 years old and has a $50 (partially sponsored) adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. Story
Sweetie is a sweet senior that is about 8 years old. This gorgeous pewter gray shorthair girl was rescued when found living outside with a colony of stray & feral cats (hence the tipped ear). She can be timid, but once she has your trust, she becomes friendly & affectionate. She will even follow you around, rub against your legs, & beg to be petted. She is very playful, especially enjoying ribbons & shoestrings. She loves to roll around on her back & show her tummy. Sweetie is seeking a calm, low-key home without dogs or children. Her ideal owner would be patient & experienced with cats. She has been spayed, tested, microchipped, & vaccinated. If you are interested in bringing Sweetie home, applications can be submitted @ http://www.forgotten4paws.com/adoption-application.html

Story
Max is a sweetheart who is happiest snuggling in a lap or snoozing under a bed. He loves pets and attention. He has lived his whole life with another cat, so with time I'm sure he'd adjust to living with a new cat. He hasn't been around a dog since he came to live with us at 10 wks old. I think he'd do fine with a mellow dog. Max spent the first 4 wks of his life living outside with a feral mom, so his fight or flight instincts are very present but it's ALWAYS flight. He has never been at all aggressive. He runs away when people come into the house but will return if it's a person he's comfortable with. I do think a noisier/busier home would be too stressful for him. When my kids and grandkids come over as a bigger group, he stays hidden away until they leave. He will come out for quieter guests that come around often. He has never had any litter box issues and his front claws have been removed. I want to find him a home with someone who will love him like we do. (DOB 4/9/19)
