Story
FELV+DOB: 9/25/2023 Mr. Peabody’s story started on the streets. Found as a young stray in rough shape, he was brought to us in July 2024 and has since made a full recovery. Today, this handsome orange tabby is healthy, playful, and—no exaggeration—one of the sweetest cats we’ve ever met. From the moment you meet him, Mr. Peabody will trot right up for pets, head bumps, and purrs. He loves everyone—strangers, visitors, staff—and his affectionate, easygoing nature makes him the kind of cat who instantly wins hearts. During his veterinary care, we discovered that Mr. Peabody is FeLV-positive (Feline Leukemia Virus). FeLV is a viral infection that affects the immune system, making it harder for a cat’s body to fight off infections. While it’s not curable, it is manageable with good veterinary care, a healthy diet, and a stress-free indoor lifestyle. Cats with FeLV need routine wellness checks, prompt treatment for any illness, and regular preventative care like vaccines and parasite control. FeLV is spread between cats through close contact (like grooming or sharing food bowls), so Mr. Peabody must either be an only cat or live with other FeLV-positive companions. It’s important to know that FeLV affects cats differently—some live only a few years, while others remain healthy for much longer. Right now, Mr. Peabody is in excellent health, full of playful kitten energy, and showing no signs of illness. What he needs most is a loving home where he can enjoy life to the fullest, surrounded by people who adore him as much as he’ll adore them. To learn more about this condition visit:  https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/feline-leukemia-felv-faqs **This cat is currently in a foster home and arrangements can be made for a meeting once you have applied with us. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.** August 5, 2025, 9:21 pm

Story
FIV+, DiabeticDOB: 10/24/2021 Snowdrift is a sweet and affectionate 3 year old cat looking for a forever home or foster family. Despite being found as a stray, he has a loving personality and adores attention, especially when being brushed. Snowdrift is diabetic and FIV+ but can live a long, happy life with proper care. He can coexist well with other cats but swats at dogs.   Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection.  FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered. For more information about FIV – feline immunodeficiency virus visit this website: https://bestfriends.org/resources/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virusFebruary 14, 2025, 9:57 am

Story
DOB:  12/20/2022 If you’re looking for a cat with some serious cattitude, Reese is for you! Reese and her sister recently left the rough and tumble of the outdoor lifestyle for a more posh indoor life. It’s been an exciting, but at times scary, adjustment for her. The sass required to be an outdoor kitty has, shall we say, stuck with Reese a bit making for quite a fun purrrrsonality. Reese has HUGE green eyes too! They can be a bit soul piercing but are full or silliness and love!    She also has quite the love for churus! She will actively grab your hand to ensure she gets every last drop of Churu!    Reese is a silly and sweet girl that has been waiting quite awhile for her fur-ever home. Consider giving this silly and adorable girl a chance!  Come meet me at the cage free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. DOB: 1/3/2022 *BONDED TO SUNNI* Sunni and Cher are a beautiful bonded pair who are searching for their forever home together. These two share a special connection and will bring double the love to the right family. Both are on the shy side, so they’ll need a calm, patient home where they can feel safe and slowly come out of their shells. Once they know they’re secure, Sunni and Cher’s gentle personalities begin to shine. They comfort each other, and you’ll often find them curled up side by side. With time, love, and understanding, they’ll blossom into sweet companions who will be so grateful for a quiet, steady home. If you have a peaceful space and an open heart, Sunni and Cher are ready to bring warmth, companionship, and a beautiful bond into your life. Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! Story
There are 2 cats, one boy Oli, one girl Artemis, same litter and about 5 years old. Loving and house trained they have never been outside. We are unable to keep them as I am newly single and work 60 plus hours a week. My daughter is allergic but without the other person here to keep a very clean space for my daughter we are unable to keep but do not want to put in a shelter for fear they will be killed. I want them to be adopted together.

Story
Meet Theon, an energetic and playful cat. About seven years old, Theon has seen and adapted to many new housing environments over the years. His likes include toys, climbing and playing with other cats. Ideally he should be with an owner that can also take in his sister, Yara, and who can give him plenty of playtime to let out his energy for the day.
