Story
DOB: 1 0/2/2016 *Must be a SOLO cat in her furever home* Do you crave more excitement in your life or are you potentially looking for a guard cat? Chakita may be the girl for you. This fancy, fluffy feline comes jam packed with a diva purr-sonality that matches her long luscious coat so every day with her is always a fun surprise. She is kind of like a Sour Patch Kid: sweet and loving pets from the people she likes while still being tough enough to ward off an intruder or annoying visitor you don't want in your home. She likes who she likes and doesn't apologize for not liking some people. Not sure if you like cats? That's ok; she is also not sure she likes cats and would love to be the empress of your kingdom. This adorable girl came from a difficult situation and is recovering from her past hard life. She's hoping for a patient adopter who will respect and appreciate her needs and quirks. **This cat is currently in a foster home and arrangements can be made for a meeting once you have applied with us. Story
FELV+, diabeticDOB: 9/17/2017 Wallace is very much a gentleman.  He waits his turn for pets and food.  He's a little pudgy in the middle, but that adds to his gentleman's persona and charm.  He likes to be brushed so he always looks his finest.  Wallace is insulin dependent diabetic but it is well controlled and he is doing great. Wallace is FeLV+.  One of the biggest misconceptions about feline leukemia, which suppresses a cat’s immune system, is that it is an automatic death sentence. There are many variables, however, that come into play that determine how FeLV will affect a particular cat.  To learn more about this condition visit:  https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/feline-leukemia-felv-faqs Wallace is currently in foster with other FeLV+ cats. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Story
Meet Buster, affectionately known as Stringer, a striking black cat with green eyes and a distinctive white patch on his neck and belly. Born around October 1, 2017, Buster's life has been a series of ups and downs. He was adopted in 2018 after being rescued as a kitten with his feral mom and four siblings. He returned to Colony Cats in 2022 when his owner could no longer care for him. Buster is not your average lap cat. He has a tough exterior and a fierce independence, making him a challenging but rewarding companion. Though initially hissy and growly, Buster's demeanor is his way of setting boundaries. He requires a patient, understanding home where his need for space and independence is respected. Due to his dental issues—he is missing all but one tooth—Buster needs a diet of canned food. When properly fed, he becomes a big, healthy cat. He loves snack squeeze pouches and playing with string, hence the nickname Stringer. While not overly affectionate, Buster does enjoy gentle head scratches, especially with a back scratcher, once he trusts you. Buster is neutered, vaccinated, and FIV/FeLV negative. He is a cat for someone who appreciates a feline with a strong personality and who can offer him the respect and patience he needs. If you're up for the challenge, Buster will reward you with his unique character and occasional moments of affection. Adopt Buster and embrace the adventure of earning the trust of this resilient and independent cat. Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at http://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process.  Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.** January 1, 2025, 2:46 pm

Story
AsthmaDOB: 2021  April-may is an interesting name for an interesting lady. This shy but sweet cat isnt just named after a character, she is one! Shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she's the kind of girl who can take interest in all your hobbies and will give her own opinion on them. She has had trouble finding a home because she was diagnosed with asthma, however it really doesn't impact her life too much. She gets a steroid cream on her ear every other day. This cute girl is currently in foster care but would love to find a home to call her own. Her hobbies include: teste testing treats, bird watching, supervising household activities,  and taking naps. She also loves chasing her laser pointer, gives the cutest "brrp" when she wants to say hello. According to her foster family chin scratches are the way to her heart, and she is very happy to curl up and sleep at the foot of your bed.  If you would like to meet this curious sweetheart put in an application today!
