Story
Meet Lola. Lola is about 5-6 years young. She has lots of energy, is very friendly and LOVES her toys. Lola has lots to say and will tell her stories all day. While she is quite affectionate once she warms up, she is still a bit shy and will take time to adjust in a new home. A calmer home with patience would be best. Lola is tolerant of other female cats but does not like males. She had a female roomie for a few months, and they were best buddies. She is now living with 5 other female cats, and gets along great with them, but she would also be perfectly happy as an only child. Lola so deserves a loving patient forever home that will take good care of her. Lola has had a hard life. She was living outdoors on a rural property where she had litter after litter. As you can see from her pictures, she did lose an eye - this was due to chronic untreated infections. She has had dental work done including most of her teeth removed. While Lola is FIV positive, it does not slow her down – please refer below for more information on FIV. Lola has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you have room in your heart & your home for this deserving girl, please message us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $200. FIV ----- FIV is a feline only virus that cannot be transmitted to people or other animal species. FIV is not passed between cats through casual contact like sharing food bowls or litter boxes or through playing, wrestling or licking/cleaning each other. FIV is passed between cats through a deep bite wound – deep enough to inject saliva into the bloodstream of the other cat – commonly occurring in outdoor cats who fight for territory. Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine conducted a long-term study in cat shelters and found that FIV-positive cats can live with FIV-negative cats and not infect the FIV-negative cats during normal day-to-day interaction. Studies over the last 10 years have also shown that cats with FIV often live as long as otherwise healthy cats that do not have this virus. Meet Angel & Patches! These beautiful girls were surrendered to Hearts to Homes when their owner could no longer take care of them. They are a bonded pair. Angel (Tabby) & Patches (Tortoiseshell) are about 3 years old. They are playful, chatty and like to be scratched! Mornings are their favourite! Story
Meet Spiffy (black) & Tinkerbelle (Tabby)! This bonded brother & sister are about 11 months old now. They came to us from a rural property that was being vacated and were at risk of being harmed. They have come a long way and so deserve a loving forever home of their own. Spiffy &Tinkerbelle are gentle souls who love other cats and love to play. Spiffy in particular loves balls, springs and catnip mice! They are on the shier side and will need a little patience and time to adjust but once they do you will be rewarded with gentle, sweet companions. Spiffy & Tinkerbelle would do best in a calmer home with another friendly cat or cats to play with. Spiffy & Tinkerbelle have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Both Spiffy and their mother tested negative for FIV/FELV. If you have room in your heart & your home for this gentle duo, contact us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. Story
Meet Milo & Woogie! These brothers are about 10 months old now. They have beautiful markings and very velvety fur. They love to play with each other with any toy on a string or a toy with catnip. They have also been known to bat around a pair of socks if found balled up on the floor! Milo is a confident affectionate kitten. Woogie is shy at first but once he gets to know you, he is the one who wants the most snuggles! Milo & Woogie would be okay with older children who are gentle and would respect their boundaries. They are also fine with other cats and would do best in a home with lots of room to move around as that is what they are used to. Milo & Woogie have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FELV. If you have room in your heart & your home for these two gentle & playful boys, contact us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $400 for the pair.

Story
Meet Slinky & Malinky! These sisters are a bonded pair about 5 years old. They have had a bit of a rough time. They were adopted last year but their owner passed away unexpectedly and there was no family to take them in. Slinky & Malinky groom each other when they're not dashing about their foster home checking out the birds and squirrels from the windows or investigating what their foster humans are doing. The girls are gentle, quirky souls who will make you smile once they get to know you. Malinky likes to sneak up on her foster mom to groom her face - sometimes at 2 am! Slinky is the bossier of the two, but both attack their cat toys with equal aplomb. They are pudgy and would do best in a home where they have room to run and get in a little exercise. Slinky & Malinky have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked. We will consider a Foster to Adopt home for these two sweet girls. If you have room in your heart & your home to help Slinky & Malinky, contact us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Perdy (silver tabby) and Evie (brown tabby) – 2 very special ladies! Both of these girls had a rough start in life, and are so deserving of a wonderful, patient, forever home. Perdy and Evie met in their foster home and have become a bonded pair. Perdy is approximately 6 years old now, and has been with her foster mom for a little over 2 years. She came from a property that was overrun with cats, and had numerous litters during her first 4/5 years of life. She was definitely a little feral when she came in with her 6 babies. All her kittens were socialized and went off to their forever homes and it is now Perdy’s turn. Perdy has learned to live an indoor life and learned to trust people. While she still does not want to be touched, she has come so far from the terrified, shy cat that she was 2 years ago. She wants to be where you are, whether it's at your feet supervising dinner plans in the kitchen, on the back of the couch while you relax with a movie, or even a being your workout coach. She is just happy to be where you are. Perdy also loves to play, tends to have a lot to say about everything, and has excellent manners. Evie has been with her foster mom for about a year. She is a little over 2 years old, and was found in a pile of rocks under some railway ties, along with her 2 brothers at about 5 months. She is incredibly shy, but very sweet. Unfortunately for Miss Evie, she has been adopted out twice and returned very quickly, due to her shy nature. Her foster mom has continued to work with her and while she still spooks fairly quick, Evie likes be to near you and loves butt scratches. She does not actually meow, but more of a chirp, which is the cutest thing. She is a very gentle soul who is so deserving of the best life. As you can see from the pictures, these ladies have bonded which came as a surprise, as they most definitely did not get a long on first introduction. Now? Anywhere one goes, the other is right behind. They play together, eat together, sleep together and need to go to their forever home together. Perdy & Evie know that their quirks make them a little less desirable, and they are OK with that, because they know that there is a perfect family just waiting to welcome them home. They will need an experienced adult home willing to be patient and give them time to adjust and build trust. It is so rewarding when your patience pays off and they start coming to you. You get to know that you have given 2 gorgeous cats a happily ever after. You get a top notch sous chef in Perdy- as she will be by your side in the kitchen always. You get to watch as Evie's adorable little personality blossoms right before your eyes. And, you get to see the most precious kitty cuddles daily! Perdy & Evie have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FELV. If you have room in your heart and your home for these two beautiful tabbies, contact us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. The adoption fee for the pair is $250.

Story
These siblings were born approximately June 2/21. Chloe and Colby are very sweet kittens. They were rescued from an outdoor situation where they were probably born to an outdoor stray and the resident who found them called for some help to rescue them. They are still very shy of people in their foster home but will enjoy pets while eating. It may take some time for their new family to gain their trust but we feel in time they will settle down. They will come and eat close to the humans and they do enjoy the company of the resident cat. They are getting used to the dog slowly. They will definitely need a patient home most likely a quiet home would be best for these two. Please apply if interested in this pair. They would probably love a quiet home with another calm cat to show them the ropes. Chloe and Colby is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Story
This sweet, 3-year-old, former momma is very inquisitive and sweet. We’re confident that this sweet girl was previously a house cat, but we think may have had some unfortunate experiences with people in the past. She may take time to adjust to meeting her new family, but once she does, she loves attention. She is very inquisitive about life, and loves watching TV! She is great with other cats as she has offered no issues with her foster’s three cats. She will make an amazing companion to an ideally slower household, or potentially a family, who is understanding of her body language and accepts that she may need time to fully trust them. Her foster is happy to teach Shiloh’s new family her body language cues to set everyone up for success.. Shiloh is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Story
Dahlia is the mama of the four kittens. She is approximately 1 to 2 years old. She came terrified, unsure how to behave around people but that changed when she learned she was getting the help she needed and her sweet personality bloomed. She has a lovely voice ranging from soft meows, chirps, and trills to let you know she is very happy. Dahlia yearns for attention and loves to weave around your legs, asking for pets on her head and along her back. She is most content when all four feet are on a solid surface. Although Dahlia is not fond of being held or snuggled, she may come to accept in the future that these things are nice too! Dahlia is very good at using her litter box! In fact, she does such a good job at covering her mess that it is recommended that she have a large or covered litter box as she tends to kick litter further than she needs to. Dahlia usually minds her own business and is happy to sleep in a quiet corner away from other pets, so should there be other pets in her new home, they should be introduced slowly and with absolute patience. Dahlia’s kittens are also available for adoption: Teddy, Linus, Percy, and Molly. Each kitten is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application.
