Story
Alisatair is one of 5 siblings born outside under the safety of a pool deck. He is playful and loves to be held and get belly rubs. He is very outgoing and loves to explore new enviroments and toys before snuggling down for a nap with his siblings. He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines and will come with a voucher for his neuter at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the neuter surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!

Story
Taylor and her kitten, as well as her siblings all found safety at a rural property. The nice homeowner brought them to safety and then contacted us. Taylor was a protective momma, but now needs her own family to love. She took a bit of time to get comfortable with life indoors, and is really a sweet little lady. She likes to play with her siblings then settle down for a sleep beside them. She is polite and always allows the others to eat before her. Taylor likes the Churu treats and will tolerate lots of pets while eating them. She will need a patient and quiet forever home that allows her to take her time to trust. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and has been spayed. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Story
Darby was born outside, but is loving the safe indoor life. He's affectionate and playful. He loves to chase and wrestle with his brother and the other kitties in his foster home. A typical kitten full of energy and comical antics! He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines and will come with a voucher for his neuter at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. Story
Fostered in Blenheim, On Adoption Fee: $200 Approx 1 year old (our best guess) DSH Will be vaccinated and spayed prior to adoption Lucy is a beautiful, approximately 1-year-old rescue girl who has thrived in foster care. After being found with her kittens (who have all but 1 (Linus) been adopted!), this devoted mama is finally getting her turn to be the one cared for — and she is so ready for her forever home. In her foster home, Lucy has truly come out of her shell. She’s gentle, affectionate, and has the cutest way of leaning into pets once she trusts you. She enjoys cozy spots, quiet naps, and being close enough to her humans to feel involved, but not overwhelmed. She’s the perfect mix of independent and cuddly. Lucy will be fully vaccinated and spayed prior to adoption & is litter-trained. Now that her babies are safe and settled, it’s Lucy’s moment to shine — and she’s hoping the right family sees just how special she is. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s already mastered being a wonderful housemate, Lucy might just be your girl. Lucy can't wait to meet you!

Story
Mary-Kate is strong-willed (wants to be the alpha cat of the house), very intelligent, patient, beautiful and loves belly rubs. Mary-Kate loves napping most of the day, especially cuddled up with her twin sister Ashley, who must be adopted with her. She loves wand toys, especially a caterpillar on a string, which I will provide. She loves watching squirrels and birds out the window. Mary-Kate would thrive in a home with no other pets (aside from her sister). She is good with kids, but doesn't like being picked up by them. She would benefit from not having constant access to food, as she tends to overeat. House-trained. Mary-Kate is spayed, up-to-date with vaccinations, and microchipped. No medical conditions. The only reason she is up for adoption is because her sister has a behavioural issue, and we can't stand the thought of splitting them up by only rehoming Ashley, because they are so bonded.

Story
Ashley is a bonded twin with Mary-Kate, they must be adopted together. She is cute, friendly and is quiet, but has the loudest purr when she is cuddling up for a nap, and loves kneading. Ashley loves puzzle feeders for treats and food. She has lots of cat toys, but most enjoys playing with pompoms, beads and pipe cleaners she finds. She loves cat wands too. Ashley would thrive in a house with kids or toddlers. There can be no other cats or pets in the house, because it leads to stress and she shows her stress by peeing outside the litterbox, but it's not too late to break the habit with effort. Ashley is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Medical reasons for her behaviour issue have been ruled out by urinalysis. In order to resolve Ashley's behaviour issue, she can't be with other pets (aside from her sister), her litterbox needs scooped daily and emptied/cleaned regularly, and using a plug-in pheromone diffuser such as Felliway is very helpful.
