Story
Hello! My name is Chester!I have been patiently waiting for my fur-ever home since August 2023! I am a friendly boy who can be nervous at first; once I get to know you and I feel at home, I am a big softie! When I'm feeling unsure, you may notice my tail swooshing and that's my communication to say I need a little break. Once I feel comfortable with you, I will rub against your legs, sit on your lap and tell you how much I love you with my little meows. My new family should know that I came to GHS with a history of IBD/enteritis - thankfully my friends at GHS worked very hard to assess me and developed a plan that has been very successful! I am on a special diet and a few supplement to keep me feeling happy and healthy. I am looking for a family that is committed to continuing my treatment plan so I can feel my best self!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Older, mature children may be okay; I would be best suited to a calm, mature homeOTHER CATS: I have lived with cats before and could be a good match after a gradual introduction.DOGS: Yes, with a respectful dog and gradual introduction.FIRST-TIME CAT OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has previous cat experience. Story
Hi, my name is Izzy!I have been patiently waiting for my fur-ever home since December 2023! The GHS family thinks I'm awesome because I can play "hard to get" but I am a big softy once you get to know me! Some of my favorite things include catnip, catnip, and more catnip; if you bring me a pinch or two, I'll show you my wild and goofy side! I am a low-key lady who likes to spend the rest of my day lounging when I'm not being loved on by the shelter staff. My new family should know that I have a progressive FeLV infection, which means I need to be an indoor cat. Feline leukemia (FeLV) is contagious to other cats, and therefore, would recommend consulting with your veterinarian on risks of adding me to a feline-friendly home. My new family should be prepared that I may start to show symptoms related to FeLV or take longer to recovery from ailments that wouldn't be a "big deal" to other cats. I can still live a very happy life in a quiet environment and with regular veterinary care, so the GHS recommends speaking to your vet prior to adopting me. I would make a wonderful addition to a calm and cuddly home - take me home today!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Teenagers or older respectful children please!OTHER CATS: Potentially, if they are also FELV + and with a slow and careful introductionDOGS: Potentially, with a calm, respectful dog.FIRST-TIME CAT OWNERS: Potentially, if you have some cat experienceSOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-mediumAM I ON A PRESCRIPTION DIET? Hi, my name is Lizzy! Please note: I am available for adoption viewing at one of GHS' satellite locations - Campus Estates Animal Hospital. Please drop by during their business hours to meet me!The GHS family thinks I'm awesome because I am a chatty and social girl! I am also a relaxed lady who is often found taking a nice, long nap and who is happy to have independent time when there is no one to shower with love. I can be shy of new environments and people, but once I have a chance to settle in I am a lovebug through and through. I have a history of urinary crystals, but my friends at GHS put me on a special urinary diet and I have been feeling so much better; I am looking for a family that will continue my diet plan to keep me my happiest and healthiest self!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Older, respectful children please!OTHER CATS: Potentially, I could be a match with other calm, friendly catsDOGS: Potentially, I have never lives with dogs before but have seen them; they made me a bit nervous. If I do live with a dog, I would be best suited to a calm, respectful dog and will need a slow introduction. Hi, my name is Banana! The GHS family thinks I'm awesome because I am a little love bug, who leeeeeeeans in for pets and attention. I am a cuddly girl who's favourite spot to sleep is right by your head - the comfy pillow is oh-so soft and your gentle breathing soothes me. Hello, my name is Troy! The GHS family think I'm awesome because I am sweet, social and affectionate - what could be more perfect than that!?My new family should know that my outgoing and friendly nature would likely make me a great match with older kids and other pets, after a proper introduction of course. I came to GHS from a home with a large number of cats - so I am quite comfortable being around other kitty friends - but I may need a bit of socialization and adjustment to a less chaotic environment; after a bit of time to relax and settle in, I have no doubt I will love the "chill" life. If you are looking for a new best friend, look no further than me!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Yes, with older and mature children.OTHER CATS: Yes, I have lived with cats and would love a cat buddy! DOGS: Yes, I could be a good match after a proper introductionFIRST-TIME CAT OWNERS: No, I can get excited and bite gently during pets and would therefore do well with someone who has cat experience.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-highIf you think I would make a good match for your home, click the "Adopt Me" button to apply!

Hello, my name is Raymond! The GHS family think I'm awesome because I am sweet, social and affectionate - what could be more perfect than that!?My new family should know that I am a very friendly guy and I love attention, but sometimes higher stress environments make me feel a bit uncomfy. I am on a medication to help me feel more relaxed! I think I would show my best self in a calmer, quieter home where I can settle in and show my true self. Depending on how well I settle in, I may even be able to come off of my medication, but will need my family to chat with my Vet to make a plan for me. If you are looking for a new best friend, look no further than me!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Yes, with calm, respectful childrenOTHER CATS: Yes, I have lived with cats and could do well with another friendly cat!DOGS: Yes, I could be a good match after a proper introductionSOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...FIRST-TIME CAT OWNERS: YesACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-mediumIf you think I would make a good match for your home, click the "Adopt Me" button to apply!
