Story
Shirley, born 07/01/2022, is a beautiful self sufficient cat that must be Queen of her kingdom. Shirley needs to live in a home without other cats or dogs. She was adopted last year and is being returned because she could not adjust to the resident dog. She is great with kids 5+ years old. Shirley is a young adult who loves to play. She is a Tortie, so expect some tortitude. She is polite and a fast learner. Her favorite thing to do is lay on the top of the cat tree and stare out the window watching the world go by. $100 adoption fee per adult cat. Hardest part of rescue is: - Not being able to save every cat. - Finding excellent homes for our rescues. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application, https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information. We do not have a shelter. All our rescues are in foster homes. The $100 adoption fee per cat insures that all cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped, vaccinated for FVRCP (feline distemper), tested (negative) for FIv & Felv, dewormed, and have been treated for fleas.

Story
Missy, born April 2023, was discovered as a small ball of fur with huge eyes in a parking lot. She is very affectionate, very energetic and very, very vocal (if she wants something, you will know!). She is not recommended for homes with children or other pets. She does not bite or claw people, she snuggles and purrs. She does not get carsick or scared in vehicles - as long as her Person is there with her! Myssy is a very timid cat, one that will need lots of love and adjustment time. Silverton Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. We deliver the kitty to your home, so you must live within an hour of Silverton. $125 adoption fee for kitties under one year and $100 for kitties over one year. Please fill out an application, https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at  silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information. We do use the application to match our kitties to the purrfect home. Please be patience when you apply for a kitty; we are all volunteers. All our kitties are altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped, receive age appropriate vaccines, are dewormed, treated for fleas and tested for FIV/FELV.

Story
Hi, I’m Oriette, born June 2023. My foster mom said that I was the first kitty to come out of hiding and am super affectionate once I understand that you are my new family. I love sitting on laps. Even though I am smaller than my brother Kratos, I still love to wrestle with him. I am a beautiful, fast kitty. The red dot fears me. Kratos and I will keep you entertained with our antics. We are excellent office assistants and can help make Zoom meeting more productive. If you have ever had shy kitties, then you know how rewarding it is when they learn to trust you and turn into purr monsters! Kratos and Oriette’s Mom is feral. They were saved by a good Samaritan and Mom has been spayed and is much happier now that she can relax $125 adoption fee per kitten. Story
This is Mack Daddy born April 2023. For such a big name, he has the tiniest little meow it's so cute. He loves to play with dangly toys and loves cuddles but he absolutely has to feel comfortable in his surroundings to show his softer side. We think his new family should play with him and it might make him more comfortable to be petted. Mack Daddy and his brother Grater would be very happy in a quiet home where they can learn to be safe and show you all the love they have to give! Silverton Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Story
Born May 2023. Bonnie is the bigger of the two sisters, but the least motivated by food...she has a dainty appetite, while Ginger will eat with more gusto. They are very sweet and gentle cats...they don't require a lot of human attention and are quite independent. These young cats provide stimulation and companionship to each other, and need to be adopted as a pair. Silverton Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Story
Born May 2023. Ginger looks like a Russian Blue, but has a white chest and feet. She is more active and curious than her sister. She is more gregarious and a bigger personality, but neither seek human attention until it's feeding time! They play, romp, and wrestle, but are quite gentle with each other. Ginger and Bonnie are quite independent and don’t require a lot of human attention, but thrive together through play and companionship. Silverton Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Story
DOB: 07-11-2012 Gracie has lived in same house since she was born. She is shy and might take a little time to warm up, but once she gets to know you, she will sit on your lap and let you pet her. Gracie is looking for a calm and understanding home where she can be the center of attention. A patient and caring adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to fully come out of her shell would be a dream match for this sweet girl.

Story
Our Roxy is an amazingly sweet girl who deserves the most special home who understands her needs.  She is small im stature and a cuddle bug who loves to be carried to bed and snuggle against you all night.   She will let you kmow loud and clear if she needs anything!    Roxy was born with CH:  Cerebellar hypoplasia ("CH") is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. ... In cats, this condition is also called "Wobbly Cat Syndrome.   It never worsens and never gets better though they learn to manage it.  She is moderate on the scale and controls her head and shoulders very well.  Roxy is very sefl sufficient but needs a house with room for her to leap about and not chaotic.   Roxy will wobble her way to the litter box and does her very best to always hit her mark.  She is very loving and loves to be held or lay on your lap.  She currently lives with several other cats and four large dog's, but gets scared and screams if they get in her immediate space and will tell them about it.. she's very vocal!    with that, she would do much better in a home with less active or chill dogs and cats.  She just gets scared if she thinks she is going to get trampled!    if you are interested in Roxy, plese include a paragraph on why you feel you are the best home and your experience with CH. Roxy is avaiable in the PDX area of Oregon (including Salem and surrounding area).    ##1872345##

Story
Maverick is our very special sweet boy who deserves all the love in the world!  He's very laid back and will sit with you for hours watching movies and wants to be near you.   Maverick is a speicial needs boy with severe CH (also known as wobbly cat syndrome).   Here is a link where you can find more info on CH:  https://www.thenoahcenter.org/2022/09/28/the-truth-about-ch-cats/ Maverick is about 4 years old and along with having CH, he is missing several teeth and has a front "snaggle tooth"- but is healthy!     He's neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and has had base line bloodwork upon joining the rescue all of which was completely normal.     He does have  tremors that are common with CH and also a pretty severe head bobble - so drinking water is difficult and he eats wet food and sometimes dry kibble mixed in water in raised bowl.     He was raised by a family who loved him very much but just didn't have the time to continue caring for him.   He uses a litter box but because of his severity and wobbles, he needs help getting in and out and will lay down to do his stuff.    He is on a schedule though and will go in the litter box when you put him in the box on a schedule.    Maverick has lived with big dogs and other cats in his foster home, but he mostly loves just being with his person.   If you have had a CH cat previously, then. you know how much love they provide and what a joy they are to care for.    With Maverick's severity level, he does need someone who has experience with CH and is aware of what they require.  If you are interested in Maverick, please provide a few sentences on why you want to adopt Maverick and how you are prepared for him.   ##2000741##

Hi there, I'm Tera! I'm a young, sweet, and gentle soul. Despite my shy nature, I'm quite brave and love to explore my surroundings. I'm also quite the cuddle bug, always seeking a warm lap or a gentle stroke. I was found outside and now, I crave the attention I missed out on. I'm friendly with everyone I meet, and I've got a heart full of love to give. I'm a bit timid at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be best friends forever. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and sweetness. Adopting me means gaining a loyal companion who will cherish your love and attention. ##2034542##

Story
I’ve had Bella since Nov. 2020. Unfortunately I fell and broke my hip recently and so I can’t live independently anymore. I’m moving to assisted living but they don’t allow pets. Bella is a sweet cat but shy. She needs time to warm up to someone new. Give Bella time and love and she will be your best friend. She is indoor-only and needs a calm environment. She loves to play hockey with plastic bottle caps!
