Story
PAXI is an adorable little ticked (spotted) brown tabby female adult kitty who is polydactyl (she has extra toes, which is considered lucky). She’s playful girl who adores any toys that move. She enjoys asking you for lots of pets, curling up on you or next to you, and sleeping next to you at night. Paxi and her male buddy Blackietoes came to our rescue organization when their owner passed away, and they are looking for a second chance with a new family. She’s a mellow girl who settles in very quickly to new surroundings. Paxi and her extra toes would love to make biscuits on your lap…are you ready? PAXI has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. You can meet her at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in North Eugene, (2847 Chad Dr, across from Costco). Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee ($170 if adopted with Blackietoes) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. PYPURR and HARPURR are a bonded pair of teenager kitten sisters. Harpurr is a fluffy silver gray tabby and Pypurr is a short-haired gray tabby. These girls can hide a little at first, but as soon as you touch them their little motors start. They love to play with cat springs and will carry them proudly in their little mouths. They were adopted as kittens but were brought to our rescue when it was discovered that they were fearful of their owner’s active 2-year-old child and high-energy small dogs. Harpurr and Pypurr enjoy cuddling up together, and although they can be overwhelmed by a new environment, they are affectionate with calm, quiet humans. These sweet girls are looking for a mellow place to live where they can love and be loved. PYPURR and HARPURR have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet these girls, please fill out an Adoption Application for consideration at catrescues.org/adopt, and an adoption counselor will contact you for a possible meet-and-greet at the Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge, 537 W. Centennial Blvd., Springfield. The $300 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
JACK is an outgoing black and white tuxedo, master-of-ceremonies adult kitty who loves attention, while MISS CINNAMON is a gorgeous, regal, fluffy black and gray tabby tuxedo, who will grace you with her affection after she has had time to adjust. They are a funny bonded pair, with dissimilar personalities, who bring out the best in each other. Jack is outgoing and gregarious, is curious about his surroundings, and loves to watch "Kitty TV" out the window. Miss Cinnamon loves high places—the tops of your kitchen cabinets or bookshelves—and she likes to play hide and seek under the sofa. Miss Cinnamon will honor you with her affection once she feels comfortable with you. They both love to climb and explore (they will need a cat tree), and play with wand toys and the turboscratcher. They were adopted together as kittens, and returned when their owner could no longer care for them.  It took them several weeks to acclimate to their foster home, and they are still afraid of loud noises and people who move fast (like young kids).  Whoever adopts these two needs to have the patience and forethought to work with them steadily, gently, and consistently, to get them over that hump of getting used to a new home. Once they are settled, they are incredibly sweet together. They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners. You can meet JACK and MISS CINNAMON at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in South Eugene (2858 Willamette St), beginning Thursday 2/22.  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet. The adoption fee for the bonded pair is $170, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.  For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  Jack ID# 1905-C0275R; Miss Cinnamon ID# 1810-C0441R DOB:  Jack 4/3/19;  Miss Cinnamon 6/29/18 UNKNOWN ABOUT OTHER CATS AFRAID OF DOGS BEST WITH QUIET OLDER KIDS OR ADULTSFebruary 25, 2024, 10:43 pm

Story
LEO is a big, handsome black panther young adult kitty. Found with a group of cats abandoned in a cage behind a motel, he was very reserved at first. His soulful gaze and his sturdy quietude made volunteers want to give him extra time to come out of his shell.  Once he was in a free-roaming situation, receiving gentle attention focused on him, he blossomed into a friendly cat who seeks out pets and affection. Leo is very playful, loves chasing toys, and may benefit from living in a larger space where he can run around to discharge some of his energy. He is likely fine with older, cat-savvy children who are patient and empathetic, but still young enough to want to play with him and give him some company.  He should probably be an only cat, because he gets jealous when his treasured humans give other cats attention. Leo is a very loving boy, and he'll sometimes hug you when you pick him up.  With a human friend that he learns he can trust, he’ll become a devoted and affectionate companion. LEO has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. LEO can be visited now at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in South Eugene (2858 Willamette St).  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet. The $145 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
VELVET is a cute, petite young female kitty with short black hair and mesmerizing green eyes. She has so much energy and loves to run around and play, making little grunting noises as she bolts through the house (see video). Some of her favorite toys are fuzzy mice and balls with bells inside of them. Velvet makes cute squeaking meows and quite often will come looking for pets and affection. She was one of a group of kitties who were found abandoned behind a hotel and taken in by CRAN. Velvet warmed up to her foster family quickly, but has never made friends with the two male cats who were already living in the home. For that reason, Velvet would do best in a home without other cats. Velvet is an incredibly sweet and cute little girl. Wouldn’t you like to give a forever home to this little princess?  NOTE: VELVET has a permanently cloudy left eye, but this doesn't seem to affect her vision at all. Velvet has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Velvet in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $145 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
Hi! My name is Seamus and my buddy's name is DiGiorno. We were both rescued from a hoarding situation and we are so happy to be healthy and loved in our foster home! We are just about ready for our forever home (together). We are both estimated to be just under a year old A little bit about the 2 of us! As a pair, we have a bit of a love hate relationship. We cannot be without one another but we also bicker like siblings. Sometimes we want to cuddle, sometimes we want to be left alone. Having each other is a great comfort though overall given what we've been through. For me, Seamus, I'm pretty shy on first initial meetings. It takes me a week or two to really open up but once we are BFFs, I want to show you all my cool skills playing with toys. I take the BIGGEST leaps onto my favorite toys, sometimes from across the room. It really is a sight! My buddy DiGiorno is pretty chill. He becomes friends right away and wants to snuggle, get pets, and be around his favorite humans all the time. He loves people and friends. We are snap tested FIV/Felv Negative, Up to date on our vaccines, dewormed, fecal tested and treated, flea treated, and will be neutered before adoption. We are also microchipped. We are currently fostered in Gresham, OR. You can apply to adopt at www.friendsforliferescuenetwork.com/adopt-or (Please be sure to include the entire link including the -or or the app wont work)

Story
Hi! My name is Mochi and I was found as a stray in the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles. I walked right up to my rescuers and rubbed on their legs looking for a new home. I am by far one of the sweetest, most loving, gentle kitties you would ever meet. I am personality A++. I love pets, snuggle time, and love my cat tree. I will follow you everywhere like a pup. I also LOVE toys, especially wand toys & laser pointer. I will talk to you and respond as you talk to me. I'm a little chatter box. I also make "biscuits" while you talk to me which makes me look like I'm doing little pitter patters with my paws. I really enjoy being brushed and having my tummy rubbed. I also get "excited tail" when I see you. My tail will totally vibrate! I get along with other friendly cats with a proper slow introduction. I prefer kitties that are respectful of my space. I have not been tested with dogs but would probably do best without them. BIG NOTE: Mochi is known to pee on things left on the floor (towels, cat beds, blankets, etc). Potential adopters need to be aware and take conscious steps to keep things off the floor and protect furniture, etc. She otherwise does great! I am spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated with my FVRCP, dewormed, fecal tested and treated, flea treated, and snap tested negative for FIV/Felv If you would like to apply, please go to https://www.friendsforliferescuenetwork.com/adopt-or (please make sure to include the -or in the link or it wont work) *Assume I'm available if my profile is still listed. I am fostered in Albany, Oregon. Please indicate you have read about the pee issue and indicate how you intend to mitigate it. We have received a lot of emails from those who havent read her bio.

Story
Hi hi hi! My name is Rhaenyra and I'm a 2 yr old kitty recently rescued. I am looking for my forever home! I am a super fun, energetic girl looking for the purrfect place as the only kitty. I am currently fostered with a few cats but I definitely prefer to be the Queen. I am OBSESSED with people. Literally obsessed. I want to be around you all the time, sit on your lap and chat with you throughout the day. I love to play in the sheets when you make the bed. I also really love to just sit in the bath tub. Given the opportunity, I will spend a fair bit of time in there. I am spayed, microchipped, FIV/Felv Negative, Fecal tested negative, dewormed, flea treated, and up to date on my vaccines. I am currently fostered in Portland, Oregon To apply to adopt, you can do so at: (www.friendsforliferescuenetwork.com/adopt-or) Please be sure to include the entire link including the -or as otherwise the app wont work. Story
I'm Ty and I arrived at Heartland on Feb. 23rd 2024. I'm a very nice boy, but I can be a little shy in new situations. I've lived with other cats in the past and I'm okay with them most of the time. I've also been around children and dogs. I can get stressed around too many animals in the house, but having my own place to go helps when I need to get away. I'd love for you to sit and read to me and maybe give me some chin scratches! My adoption fee is $30 and I'll be waiting to meet you!

Story
Hello! My name is Cobalt and I am about 6 months old and am a total ball of fun! I am easily distracted by feather wand toys and will chase down the little red dot from a laser pointer with such intensity. Watching me play is quite adorable with my large polydactyl mittens. I have a motor that is so loud staff can almost hear the cage bars shake. I do have a few medical concerns that you should be aware of. One is that I am prone to urinary crystals, which means that I must eat a prescription diet provided by a veterinarian for the rest of my life. The unique diet helps prevent the crystals from forming, which can be life-saving. The other concern the doctors have for me is my large heart murmur. There is currently no treatment that I need for this issue and as I get older they potentially will know more about it. It's difficult to project the life expectancy of heart patients, but for now, I'm just gonna live my life to the fullest and enjoy every second of it. If you want to know more about me or want to come play with me, stop by the shelter today!!!!sidekickLike all sidekicks, I'm just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude.
