Névé est un magnifique chat tout blanc de presque 7 ans, arrivé chez nous en février 2025 alors qu’il avait la bouche en très mauvais état. Il nous avait été confié par une gentille dame qui, ne pouvant malheureusement pas le garder, souhaitait lui donner une chance de trouver une nouvelle famille. Depuis son arrivée, Névé a fait énormément de progrès. Au début, il était très craintif et préférait se faire tout petit. On le retrouvait souvent bien caché derrière un autre minou ou confortablement dissimulé dans une cachette de l’arbre à chat. Mais derrière cette petite bouille inquiète se cache un chat qui a appris à faire confiance aux humains. Aujourd’hui, Névé est beaucoup plus à l’aise avec nous et on le trouve toujours dans les premiers sur le bord de la porte ou dans la fenêtre. On le retrouve maintenant de plus en plus souvent sur le plancher, aux côtés de ses congénères, à participer aux jeux et aux activités avec les bénévoles qui l’accompagnent dans sa socialisation. Difficile de ne pas tomber sous le charme de Névé! Ce gros minet tout doux est un véritable amour, sans la moindre malice. Toujours gentil et prêt à jouer, il a gardé son cœur de chaton malgré ses trois ans. On a parfois du mal à croire qu’il est déjà adulte tellement il est enjoué! Névé, c’est le genre de chat qui apporte de la douceur, de la bonne humeur… et beaucoup de moments de jeu à sa future famille. Il nous montre chaque jour qu’avec du temps, de la patience et beaucoup de douceur, même les chats les plus craintifs peuvent apprendre à faire confiance et à profiter pleinement de leur environnement. Névé pourrait tout à fait vivre dans un foyer avec d’autres amis félins. Toutefois, compte tenu de sa nervosité face aux bruits forts et soudains, nous pensons qu’un foyer sans jeunes enfants serait préférable pour lui, afin de lui offrir un environnement calme et rassurant où il pourra continuer à s’épanouir à son rythme.  Névé est également porteur du virus de l’immunodéficience féline (VIF). He arrived in our care in February 2025 with his mouth in very poor condition. He had been entrusted to us by a kind woman who, unfortunately, could no longer keep him and wanted to give him the chance to find a new family. Since arriving, Névé has made tremendous progress. At first, he was very fearful and preferred to make himself as small as possible. We would often find him hiding behind another cat or tucked away in one of the cozy hiding spots in the cat tree. But behind that worried little face is a cat who has learned to trust people. Today, Névé is much more comfortable with us, and he is now often one of the first cats waiting by the door or sitting by the window. We also find him more and more often out on the floor, alongside his feline companions, taking part in games and activities with the volunteers who are helping him with his socialization. It’s hard not to fall in love with Névé! This big, gentle boy is an absolute sweetheart, without a mean bone in his body. Always kind and ready to play, he has kept his kitten-like heart despite being three years old. Sometimes it is hard to believe that he is already an adult because he is still so playful and full of energy! Ce beau mâle tabby d’environ 4 ans a été trouvé errant, sans micropuce, après avoir probablement vécu longtemps à l’extérieur. À son arrivée, son pelage était sale et il portait plusieurs petites croûtes et blessures sur le corps, des signes qui témoignent d’une vie difficile et de nombreuses altercations avec d’autres chats. Malgré son passé difficile, il démontre une magnifique capacité à faire confiance et il demeure un véritable amour avec les humains. Il adorera faire partie de votre quotidien, c’est un vrai petit pot de colle. La stimulation par le jeu l’aidera à garder une bonne hygiène et à garder son instinct de chasseur. Minimousse est maintenant à la recherche d’une famille prête à lui offrir une nouvelle chance. Richie est arrivé au refuge en septembre 2025, grâce à l’une de nos bénévoles qui avait décelé chez lui un beau potentiel d’adoption. Et il faut dire que ce magnifique tabby brun d’un peu plus de 3 ans est tout simplement craquant! Avec sa forte personnalité, son petit air renfrogné et son attitude de petit dur, Richie ne laisse personne indifférent. Richie est un chat qui conviendra à une personne bien particulière : quelqu’un qui recherche une relation basée sur le respect, la complicité et le principe du « vivre et laisser vivre…nope ». Car Richie adore être avec ses humains! Il voudra superviser vos activités quotidiennes, participer à sa façon à votre routine et n’hésitera pas à vous faire savoir très clairement s’il approuve… ou non vos plans! Notre beau ténébreux a toutefois un petit défaut qu’il faudra apprendre à gérer, ou simplement accepter : Richie a une certaine tendance à croquer. Mais rassurez-vous, il ne le fait pas gratuitement! Lorsqu’il commence à en avoir assez des manipulations ou des caresses, il vous le fera savoir. Il aime les câlins, mais selon ses conditions : 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississi… petit avertissement de la patte ou léger croque! Richie ne s’acharne pas. Il avertit. Il communique simplement que son niveau de tolérance est atteint et qu’il est temps de lui laisser un peu d’espace. Et une fois le message passé, il ne garde aucune rancune : deux secondes plus tard, le voilà qui revient vous donner de gros coups de tête affectueux. C’est tout simplement Richie! Il a également tendance à grimper sur les comptoirs et n’apprécie pas toujours qu’on lui demande d’en descendre. Avec de la patience, de la constance et une approche positive, c’est toutefois un comportement qui peut se travailler. Richie aura donc besoin d’une personne prête à composer avec ses petites manies, à respecter ses limites et à lui laisser le temps de s’adapter à sa nouvelle vie. Et les autres chats dans tout ça? Richie pourrait tout à fait partager son quotidien avec un autre félin, à condition que celui-ci ne soit pas de nature dominante. Avec un compagnon calme, équilibré et prêt à lui laisser sa place, la cohabitation pourrait très bien fonctionner. Après tout, un nouveau boss est sur le point d’arriver en ville! Et il adore jouer, mais moins partager ses jouets ou sa couverture d’herbe à chat! And it’s easy to see why! This handsome brown tabby, just over 3 years old, is absolutely adorable. With his strong personality, slightly grumpy expression, and little tough-guy attitude, Richie certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. Richie is a cat who will be best suited to a very particular kind of person: someone looking for a relationship built on respect, companionship, and a true “live and let live….not” philosophy. Richie loves being around his humans! He’ll want to supervise your daily activities, participate in your routine in his own special way, and won’t hesitate to make it very clear whether or not he approves of your plans! Our handsome dark gentleman does have one little quirk that his future family will need to learn to manage — or simply accept: Richie has a tendency to give little nips. But don’t worry, he doesn’t do it without warning! When he’s had enough of being handled or petted, he’ll let you know. He enjoys affection, but strictly on his terms: one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississi… then comes a little paw warning or a gentle nip! Richie doesn’t keep going or hold a grudge. He simply gives you a warning that he has reached his limit and it’s time to give him some space. And once his message has been received, all is forgiven. Two seconds later, he’ll be back giving you big, affectionate head bumps. That’s just Richie! He also has a tendency to climb onto countertops and isn’t always thrilled when asked to get down. With patience, consistency, and a positive approach, however, this is a behavior that can be worked on. Richie will need someone who is willing to accept his little quirks, respect his boundaries, and give him the time he needs to adjust to his new life.  And what about other cats? Richie could absolutely share his home with another feline, as long as that cat is not dominant. Richie is an adult cat, and his adoption fee is $310$. He is sterilized, vaccinated, and microchipped.  He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) but negative for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Although he carries FIV, the risk of transmitting the virus to another cat is very low. He is in good health and can still live a long and happy life.
