Story
Benson (A396148) is a foster cat from Montgomery County Animal Services (https://www.mcaspets.org/) Benson came into MCAS as a stray, but has adapted extremely well to indoor life. He will follow you from room to room and likes to be able to see his people, but he's not quite a lap cat - he's very respectful of your personal space! He also always gets compliments about being the absolute sweetest when he's at the vet. He's a lover for sure! He's about 7 years old but he still has plenty of energy, and gets the zoomies at least once a day. He LOVES toys with feathers and anything crinkly. He is FIV+, so any potential adopter should read up on FIV before adopting. He does not currently need special food or medicine for his FIV, but he was having some tummy troubles and is now eating only fish-based wet and dry food, which seems to have solved the problem. He has been happily sharing space with another cat and could potentially do well with others.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only. Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   Squirrel was rescued from a dumpster with his siblings at the age of two weeks and brought to his foster home to be bottle-fed. Squirrel is a very smart cat with a personality bigger than he is. He's full of energy and loves playing. He is also very dramatic and loves attention. Squirrel has been vaccinated, combo-tested, microchipped and neutered and is looking for his forever home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 12:23 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Jenn. I may seem timid at first, but that's just because I'm still getting used to this place. Everything's so new and different. I'm not used to all the sounds and smells yet. I'm gentle, you see. I prefer quiet moments, soft whispers, and gentle touches. I may be a little scared, but I'm brave too. I'm learning to trust again, to let my guard down, to play and explore. I promise, if you give me a chance, I'll be the best friend you could ever ask for. I'm more than just a shelter kitten, I'm Jenn, and I'm ready to love and be loved. Will you be my forever home? For more information, contact info@texasanimalsociety.org or call Susan at 330-518-8604.Interested in adopting a companion cat from Texas Animal Society? Please email info@texasanimalsociety.com and complete online adoption application at texasanimalsociety.orgCome visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/www.texasanimalsociety.org/

Story
Hello there, I'm Jenny. I've got a heart full of sweetness and a mind that's as sharp as a tack. I'm the independent type, but I'm also quite friendly. I love a good chin scratch, but I also enjoy my alone time, curled up in a cozy corner. I am gentle, never one for rough play if you will 'read' the signs. I am fiercely loyal to those I care about. I am quick to learn the routine. I'm looking for a forever home...a place where I can truly be myself and be understood. Adopt me and let's write a beautiful story together.Interested in adopting a companion cat from Texas Animal Society? Please email info@texasanimalsociety.com and complete online adoption application at texasanimalsociety.orgCome visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/www.texasanimalsociety.org/

Story
My name is Temple but my foster human calls me Tempera(mental) she says that I am one of those hard to adopt cats. No idea why: I am adorable and love to be petted, but only when I tell you to do so! You must respect my space (I won't respect yours, though, but that's your problem because you are a human and I am a cat so when I want love and petting, I will get them!)  I like to hang out around the humans all the time. I have a clear preference for men. (I guess my foster mother is also OK, she feeds me.) No small children, please. I am looking for an experienced cat person with the time, patience, and compassion to help me feel secure and happy. I will do better in a house with no other pets, I am unique and special and don't like to share my humans.July 26, 2024, 5:10 pm

Story
Daisy is a 2.5 month foster kitten looking for her forever home 💗🌼 Daisy was the runt of her litter (and the last one left!) so she's on the smaller side. But she's never let her size stop her. She's playful, friendly, and outgoing. She's not afraid of other people or cats. She let's you pet, hold, and kiss her with ease. She likes to nibble, so you'll get to experience her sweet love bites. And she loves to cuddle when she gets sleepy. She's a sweet, charming kitten. She will go home with two rounds of vaccines (or all three, depending on when she gets adopted), treated for fleas, dewormed, used to baths and getting her nails trimmed. Adopter must be okay with me doing a house visit and must provide proof of a scheduled spay surgery. I'd also really appreciate picture updates after adoption 🥲 I want to make sure she's going to a good home.

Story
He was found in a car at Christian Brothers Grant Rd which is where he got his name from! He survived hurricane Beryl stuck in the frame of a Nissan Pathfinder. He is very sweet and wants to be near you all the time. He is approximately 5-6 weeks old. He is getting the hang of the litterbox, but still needs to be put in there for him to sit there and go sometimes. He is very playful and loves to run circles around you when you are sitting on the floor with him! He also loves laying under your legs where he feels covered up. He loves to hang out and play with cats and dogs! We are working on getting him up to date on his shots and he has had his first round of de-wormer and is set to receive his second on 7/31. He has not been tested yet for FIV or any other illnesses due to his young age and is also set to be tested on 7/31 when he is approximately 6 weeks.
