Story
May we introduce you to his Lordship, Earl Grey! Earl Grey was found among a group of feral cats that Houston Cares feeds. It was quickly obvious that he was not a feral cat at all, but has been around people most of his eight years. He is calm, friendly, snuggly, and he has a powerful purr button! Earl Grey does have gum inflammation (stomatitis) and as such he has had his teeth removed. However, it doesn't slow him down one bit - he just needs to be monitored for it annually or if symptoms arise. He eats well and he appreciates the finer things in life. Earl Grey would do well in a home that can keep him in the means to which he's grown accustomed! He likes children and other animals (both dogs and cats). Mmeet Earl Grey. He's waiting patiently for you!

Story
Amelia is a senior gal who loves getting skritches and scratches! She will even paw at you or nibble at you to get your attention. She knows what she wants when she wants it--and won't hesitate to let you know when she's ready for a break and some "me time" as she lounges around the house. She enjoys soft blankets and pillows- as well as different forms of enrichment that involve scratching posts. Sadly Amelia was found in poor condition and was subject to neglect and possibly also abuse; has arthritis, so she doesn't jump on counters or surfaces higher than maybe 2' so she won't be climbing on your kitchen island. She enjoys company and just existing near you. She has met other cats and she's 50/50 on them--some are ok and others not a fan. She has lived with other cats and mainly avoids them. She is not too sure on dogs but would probably be ok if they ignore her. Amelia has early kidney disease, which is easily managed with special food and is common in senior cats--she needs a home that can keep her water clean, watch for any related issues (like urinary tract infections), and maybe give her a little tuna water to keep her hydration up. Amelia is also polydactyl (she has extra toes)!

Story
I'm smart, I'm pretty and I'm sassy. Yep, I'm Kahlua. I've been with Houston Cares for over a year now and my foster mom says it's because I'm not sweet and I'm not cuddly. Apparently that's what people want in a cat. When I first came to my foster home, I growled nonstop for 5 days. Then, I decided I was safe, and started letting them pet me but only on my own terms would I lay on them. I figured out that I like men much more than women, and I'm ok with kids, dogs, and babies. If I don't like you, I will not hesitate to let you know.I have a fantastic swing and big paws and swatting is fun for me. My foster mom says I have gorgeous teeth, and she knows because I like to growl at her and show them. Despite all of my odd quirks, she loves me and says she thinks I am adoptable. What can I say, I'm sassy and choosy. I get along with the other cats in my foster home as long as they let me be in charge. Does this bio make me sound like the Purrfect pet for your family? Adopt me!

Story
I am Eddie, a very cute and charming boy! Me and my brother Leon are very playful, curious, and happy. We both have high energy to play and entertain for hours until we get tired and cuddle with our human. We will likely be more calm as we get older but anyone who adopts us now will have to be ok with some play! We were found in a parking lot at just 6 weeks old, so we have been together as a pair since we were tiny. We would love to stay together and grow up in a loving stable home. Is that yours? We promised you long hours of entertainment, purring and fun companionship.

We both have high energy and can play together for hours--when we finally get tired we also enjoy cuddles. We would love to stay together as a pair since we have been together our whole lives. We were saved outside at just 6 weeks old and are very friendly. although we might be shy at first in a new place or with new people. We would like to grow up in a loving stable home together. Is that yours? We promised you long hours of entertainment, purring and fun companionship.
