Story
***MUST REMAIN AN INDOOR CAT******Local Adoptions Only At This Time***Devon and his siblings are a ton of fun! They are typical curious little kitties. Their mama, Citrine, was the best mom she even took in a kitten that wasn't hers when she was nursing them all! They have been in a foster home, but are now back at the shelter and ready to find their forever families. I am adventurous and curious If you're looking to add a sweet kitty to your family, Devon might be your perfect match!Devon's date of birth is 04/28/2024 and he is available for pre-adoption. That means that he has a couple of vet appointments left to get his final set of vaccines and to get neutered. He can be adopted now, but the new owner will need to take him to those appointments at our vet in Somerville. We will cover the costs of those appointments. If your house is missing a sweet and playful kitty, please submit an adoption application at http://www.fayettefcar.com/applicationform, where you can also review FCAR’s adoption requirements. All FCAR adoptable cats have been spayed or neutered, are current on all vaccines, negative for FIV/Feline Leukemia, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and come with a 30-day pet health guarantee (local adoptions only.) The adoption fee is $95 with an approved application. A home inspection is required prior to all cat adoptions. All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. This fee includes:• Extensive medical health check by a licensed veterinarian• Up to date on all vaccinations• Spayed/Neutered• Microchipped• 30-day pet health guarantee for local adoptions only (*Must follow process provided at time of adoption.)• 30-day money back guaranteeOur goal is to find loving homes for all our rescued animals. Because we care about our rescues and their future, some animals have certain new family requirements before they can be released to their new home. Requirements for adoption could include the following:• Veterinary reference for previous pet owners (must be/have been current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention)• If no previous veterinary history, purchase of 3-month heartworm/flea/tick prevention• If renting, verification with landlord on acceptability of pets and any restrictions, pet deposit, etc.• Meet and greet with current pets to ensure compatibilityNote: We will call your current/previous veterinarian to verify that you have a history of providing vaccinations and heartworm prevention for your animal(s).If you are interested in adopting one of our cats, please complete our Online Adoption Application at http://www.fayettefcar.com/animals.For more information about this animal and other please visit our website at fayettefcar.com or contact us at 901/854-2565. Dorian has a very big personality, very confident & extroverted. His high energy means lots of play time, and having another kitten to help keep him out of trouble to grow up with is recommended.
