Story
Greetings, I'm Ruth, and I'm here to tell you about my journey from misunderstood shelter cat to blossoming companion. During my time at the shelter, I confess I wasn't always on my best behavior. Staff and volunteers labeled me as "cranky", "aloof", and even "rude". But hey, who could blame me? Life in a shelter isn't exactly a walk in the park. Luckily, I found my way to a foster home, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. My foster mom sees me in a different light. She wouldn't use those harsh words to describe me. With a little time and patience, I've started to come out of my shell. Now, I've discovered that sharing space with humans isn't so bad after all. While I may not be the snuggliest kitty around, I do enjoy being close. I've even learned to appreciate the gentle touch of a hand stroking my gorgeous fur. And let me tell you, when you pet me, I'll reward you with the sweetest purrs you've ever heard. I've also relaxed my boundaries quite a bit since my shelter days. I'm okay with being picked up now, and I'm becoming more comfortable with human interaction every day. But I'm still looking for the perfect match-a home with low-key humans who understand my quirks and are willing to accept me for who I am. It would be wonderful if there was another confident cat friend in the household who could show me the ropes and help me settle into my new abode. If you are interested in getting to know me, don't hesitate to give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, or email SVASC at tmeadows@co.augusta.va.us. My adoption fee is $70, which includes all of my vetting. I am currently in foster care, so please call ahead and ask about Ruth!

Story
Hey there, I'm Paw McCatney, ready to serenade you with purrs and charm! At 4-5 years old and already neutered, I'm a feline sensation looking for my forever home where I can live life like a true rockstar. I'd probably be happiest as the only pet in an adult-only home where I can be the center of attention-just like a certain legendary musician I'm named after! Sure, I may have a few quirks, like being a tad testy with my human friends and not being a fan of vet care or brushing, but once you get to know me, I'm a real fun cat to be around. I love indulging in treats, catnip, and naps in the sunshine, and there's nothing I enjoy more than batting around toy mice and getting those ear scritches just right. So, if you're ready to welcome a quirky yet lovable companion into your life, let's come together and make some magical memories-Paw McCatney is here to be your purr-fect partner in crime! My adoption fee is $70, which covers all of my vetting. If you would like more information on me, please give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, email SVASC at svasc@co.augusta.va.us, or stop by during open hours and ask for Paw!

Story
Hey there, I'm Wasabi, and I'm here with my brother Tofu, looking for our forever home! Our journey brought us to the shelter when our human had to move away, but we're hopeful that someone out there is ready to welcome us into their hearts. Being a bit shy at first, I rely on my brother's comforting presence to help me feel safe and secure. Once we get to know you, though, you'll find I'm a loving and affectionate companion. I'm great with other cats and even enjoy the company of calm kiddos. Indoor life is all I've ever known, and I prefer it that way. A quieter home where I can lounge around and explore at my own pace sounds like a dream come true. With Tofu by my side, I know we can bring joy and companionship to our new family. So, if you're looking for a pair of sweet feline friends to join your home, look no further than us, Wasabi and Tofu! We're ready to fill your life with love and purrs. Tofu and I's adoption fee is $70, which covers all of our vetting. If you would like more information on me, please give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, email SVASC at svasc@co.augusta.va.us. Story
Hey there, I'm Tofu! My brother Wasabi and I are like two peas in a pod, we do everything together. We've been through a lot together, you see. Our previous owner had to move and couldn't take us along, so here we are, looking for a new home where we can stay together forever. I might seem a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I promise I'm a sweet and loving guy. Having Wasabi by my side helps me feel more confident, so I warm up quicker when he's around. I'm good with other cats and I don't mind calmer kiddos, but I prefer a quieter environment. I've always been an indoor kitty, and I think I'd be happiest in a forever home where I can lounge around and enjoy the comforts of indoor living with my brother by my side. If you're looking for two adorable kitties to bring love and warmth into your home, Wasabi and I are the purrfect pair for you! My brother and I's adoption fee is $70 together, which covers all of our vetting. If you would like more information on me and Wasabi, please give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, email SVASC at svasc@co.augusta.va.us.
