She is friendly, affectionate & playful she loves to play fetch with twist ties & mice. She is a bit skittish of new people, would need time to warm up to them. She does not fully go into the traditional litterbox so would have to use a top down style.

Story
Greetings, I'm Ruth, and I'm here to tell you about my journey from misunderstood shelter cat to blossoming companion. During my time at the shelter, I confess I wasn't always on my best behavior. Staff and volunteers labeled me as "cranky", "aloof", and even "rude". But hey, who could blame me? Life in a shelter isn't exactly a walk in the park. Luckily, I found my way to a foster home, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. My foster mom sees me in a different light. She wouldn't use those harsh words to describe me. With a little time and patience, I've started to come out of my shell. Now, I've discovered that sharing space with humans isn't so bad after all. While I may not be the snuggliest kitty around, I do enjoy being close. I've even learned to appreciate the gentle touch of a hand stroking my gorgeous fur. And let me tell you, when you pet me, I'll reward you with the sweetest purrs you've ever heard. I've also relaxed my boundaries quite a bit since my shelter days. I'm okay with being picked up now, and I'm becoming more comfortable with human interaction every day. But I'm still looking for the perfect match-a home with low-key humans who understand my quirks and are willing to accept me for who I am. It would be wonderful if there was another confident cat friend in the household who could show me the ropes and help me settle into my new abode. If you are interested in getting to know me, don't hesitate to give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, or email SVASC at tmeadows@co.augusta.va.us. My adoption fee is $70, which includes all of my vetting. I am currently in foster care, so please call ahead and ask about Ruth!

Story
Hey there, wonderful humans! I'm Mystery, a furry bundle of fun and affection just waiting to bring some joy into your life. I'm all about playful antics and snuggly cuddle sessions, but like any feline, I've got my boundaries. Thankfully, I'm pretty quick to show you what they are, so it won't take long for us to understand each other. Now, let's talk about head scratches-oh, how I adore them! But here's the deal: if I pull away, that's my polite way of saying I've had enough. No hard feelings, okay? One of my favorite things in the world is having some outdoor playtime. There's just something about the fresh air and sunshine that makes my whiskers twitch with delight. As for my furry friends, I get along just fine with low-energy dogs, and I'm quite the buddy with other male cats-just as long as they respect my personal space. But let's keep it between us: I'm not exactly a fan of female cats. So, are you ready for a playful and affectionate companion who's not afraid to set some ground rules? If you're up for the challenge and eager to welcome a quirky character like me into your home, then let's make some memories together! If you are interested in getting to know me, don't hesitate to give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, or email SVASC at tmeadows@co.augusta.va.us. My adoption fee is $70, which includes all of my vetting. I am currently in foster care, so please call ahead and ask about Mystery!

Story
Hello, lovely humans! My name is Lottie, and I'm here to grace your life with my regal presence. I'm a prim little lady with a big, sweet side, and I'm on the lookout for my forever kingdom - could it be with you? I'm a social butterfly, especially with my favorite humans. I'll always be by your side, ready to offer companionship and endless love. While I may not be a fan of being held, I'll happily follow you around, ensuring that I'm part of all the action. If you see me running towards the door, it's not because I'm trying to escape my royal abode; it's just my way of graciously welcoming you to my domain. Now, let's talk about my opinions - yes, I'm a tortoiseshell with a flair for expressing my desires. I know what I want, and I'm not afraid to let you know with my sweet and persuasive meows. Treats, laser pointers, and gentle head scratches are the keys to my heart, and I'll make sure you know it. I'm not against the idea of sharing my kingdom with other feline friends. We can bat toys back and forth, engage in some playful banter, but most of the time, I prefer to keep to myself and revel in my queenly solitude. Distinctive round cheeks, wide bright eyes - my face is an artful masterpiece, capturing the essence of my expressive personality. I envision a gentle and quiet home where I can reign supreme, basking in the love and attention that I rightfully deserve. If you're ready to welcome a sweet and opinionated feline into your castle, look no further - I'm here, ready to rule your heart. If you are interested in getting to know me, don't hesitate to give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, or email SVASC at tmeadows@co.augusta.va.us. Hey there, I'm Paw McCatney, ready to serenade you with purrs and charm! At 4-5 years old and already neutered, I'm a feline sensation looking for my forever home where I can live life like a true rockstar. I'd probably be happiest as the only pet in an adult-only home where I can be the center of attention-just like a certain legendary musician I'm named after! Sure, I may have a few quirks, like being a tad testy with my human friends and not being a fan of vet care or brushing, but once you get to know me, I'm a real fun cat to be around. I love indulging in treats, catnip, and naps in the sunshine, and there's nothing I enjoy more than batting around toy mice and getting those ear scritches just right. So, if you're ready to welcome a quirky yet lovable companion into your life, let's come together and make some magical memories-Paw McCatney is here to be your purr-fect partner in crime! My adoption fee is $70, which covers all of my vetting.
