Story
Peanut is a shy and independent spirit who takes her time warming up to new people. She’s especially cautious around strangers and prefers to keep her distance, often running to the other side of the room when someone approaches. Though she rarely interacts with her foster mom’s 4-year-old granddaughter and tends to run away when approached, Peanut is never aggressive—she doesn’t hiss or swat; she simply chooses to retreat to her safe space. Peanut gets along well with other cats and enjoys sharing a bed or snuggling up with her feline friends. She’s had limited exposure to dogs but shows mild curiosity rather than fear. Her ideal home would be a calm, quiet environment with adults or older children who understand her need for patience and space. Peanut is making slow but steady progress in gaining confidence. She’s starting to realize she doesn’t always need to run away. Sometimes, she’ll stay perched on her cat climber, watching her foster mom curiously instead of immediately darting off. On occasion, she’s even leaned in to sniff a hand and has allowed a gentle pet or two, but these moments are rare and delicate. Peanut needs an adopter who understands that building trust with her will take time, patience, and celebrating the small victories along the way. Peanut is a quiet kitty who loves lounging on comfy beds or climbers. She occasionally enjoys playing with toys, especially her favorite—DaBird feather wand toy. She also looks forward to her daily helping of wet food and patiently waits for her dish to be placed in front of her. If you’re someone who can offer Peanut the patience, understanding, and quiet environment she needs, she’ll reward you by gradually learning to trust and feel safe in her forever home.

Story
Meet Royel! Royel is a sweet and affectionate cat who adores people and loves to cuddle. She’s super affectionate and not easily scared. She’s raised her kittens beautifully and even kept them in line with her adorable chatty trills! She’s definitely a talker, so you’ll always know where she is. Royel enjoys playtime with wands, balls, and even small stuffed pillow toys she can kick. She’s also comfortable being picked up, loves attention, but isn’t overly needy, she’s a great balance of affectionate and independent. She’s met children before and did well with them. She likely would do well with other cats and dogs, too. Royel is FIV positive, which simply means she has a virus that affects her immune system, but it’s easily managed with normal vet care, and a loving home. FIV-positive cats can live long, healthy lives and can safely live with other friendly cats who are spayed or neutered. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and talkative kitty who’s ready to bring joy to your home, Royel is your girl!

Story
Mystic is a quiet, reserved girl who just needs time, patience, and the right family to help her blossom. She’s been around kids (but prefers to keep her distance), has coexisted peacefully with a calm dog, and does well with other cats especially confident ones who might help her feel more at ease. Right now, Mystic isn’t a fan of human touch she shies away from pets, but in a quiet and patient home, we believe she’ll warm up with time. And while she may be shy around people, she’s a total goofball when she thinks no one is watching! String toys, ball toys, scratching posts she’s all about the playtime! Food is the key to her heart she’s a little food-motivated (okay, maybe very food-motivated) Mystic would do best in a calm, moderately active home with a patient adopter who understands that love and trust take time. We truly believe that with the right environment, this sweet girl will come out of her shell and become a wonderful companion. Could you be the one to help her shine?

Story
Meet Tapani! Tapani is a stunning and unique kitty with a personality as vibrant as her beautiful coat! She’s made incredible progress since arriving at HEA and is now ready to find her forever home with someone who understands her needs and respects her boundaries. Tapani thrives in a calm, quiet environment without children, dogs, or other animals. She’s all about building trust with her favorite people and will gladly curl up on your lap for some quality time—on her terms, of course. Tapani enjoys attention but values her independence. When she’s ready for alone time, she’ll let you know with a pat pat of the paw. She has a playful side, too! Tapani loves chasing laser lights, shiny reflections, and toys, adding a bit of fun and mischief to your day. While she can be a bit apprehensive with strangers, her funny and unpredictable personality shines once she feels comfortable. Tapani needs a cat-savvy adopter who can continue helping her blossom into the perfect companion. She’s come a long way from her shy beginnings and is now willing to be picked up and placed on your lap—a huge step for this brave girl! If you’re ready to be patient, understanding, and loving, Tapani will reward you with a one-of-a-kind bond.

Story
Lunar is a big, sweet boy who’s as friendly as they come. The moment you walk into his foster room, he’ll run to greet you with soft little meows and happily follow you around, he even tries to sneak inside to keep the fun going! This snuggly guy loves lap time, especially when he can rest his head and soak up chin scratches. He’ll curl up, purr himself to sleep, and then hop off to do his own exploring. Playtime is a favorite too, wand toys, tunnels, and anything that keeps him moving. When he’s not busy playing, you’ll likely find him perched on the cat tree, gazing out the window at the world outside. Lunar is laid-back, affectionate, and social. He shows no reaction to other cats, so he’d likely enjoy having a feline friend. Sometimes he gets a little amped up and nips gently, but he’s easily redirected with toys and play. Because he loves to dart around to greet people, a home without very small children or unsteady adults would be best, just so he doesn’t trip anyone in his excitement. The ideal home for Lunar will give him the perfect mix of snuggles and space, with cozy laps, a perch by the window, and people who enjoy both his sweet side and playful bursts. This big, lovable black kitty is ready to brighten someone’s life.
